1: Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it snow!
2: We all went to Kansas City for Justin's birthday weekend. It was the first time we stayed in a hotel with Hayley and she did fine! While Justin worked that Friday, I hung out with Sarah and their new baby Megan! Hayley LOVED seeing the baby and had fun hanging out with her cousin Tyler. That night Randy and Debbie drove in for dinner at P.F. Chang's. Hayley loved the "horsie." The next morning the three of us went to Crown Center.
3: Justin turned 28 on January 28! The big part of the celebration was going to Kansas City, but it's always fun to celebrate with Hayley. She was very entertaining!
4: SUPER BOWL February 7, 2011 Tim and Carrie hosted the Big Game at their house. I spent more time watching Hayley play with Thomas and Matthew. One of the big events for me that night was hearing Hayley say "Thomas" and yell after him all night! BTW Packers 31 - Steelers 25
5: On February 10, two new inductees were inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame-Senator Bill Bradley and Bruce Sutter. As another local sports Hall of Fame, we are usually lucky enough to have great seats to the event. The Cardinals heavy hitters at this Lockerroom Luncheon were Whitey Herzog, Ozzie Smith, and Lou Brock.
6: HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! | We all went out to Olive Garden after church the Sunday before Valentine's Day Mom made Hayley's smocked dress for the holiday!
7: I got up early enough on February 14 to make pancakes with hearts in them! I made mine into Nutella and banana cakes - yum!!! Grandma and Grandpa Jackson sent Hayley a puppy, which she obviously LOVED!!
8: February 20 we went to a "Meet Megan" shower. Sarah and Lee wanted the sex of the baby to be a surprise so we were able to celebrate with a bunch of pink after she was born! While we were there we saw Great-Grandpa Phelps who had waited to give Hayley her Christmas present, a Thomas Movie! | Welcome Megan Elizabeth Gatlin!
9: Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!
10: Uncle Jim was in town the middle of March so the two of us celebrated our birthdays - mine on the 14th and Uncle Jim's on the 2?th. Aunt Sue, Barbara, Theresa and Snook came over to visit and celebrate.

13: Frenchtown Heritage Museum Caboose Grand Opening April 16 | The restoration of a 1920s Santa Fe caboose was finally completed this year and the Museum held a Grand Opening to celebrate everyone who helped to make it possible, mainly Jerry Boshears and the Questors.

20: July 3 Justin and Jason put together a brilliant (and slightly scary) firework show for the rest of us... | ...Hayley didn't make it through the show.
21: July 4 Nancy, Keith, Justin, myself, Erin and Jason went to see Transformers 3 in 3D at the largest IMAX theater in the world. We were first in line (getting there 30 minutes before the doors opened. The line went around the building! | We went swimming in the afternoon and then went to watch fireworks that night at Sedgewick High School.

26: Tigers VS. rOYALS jULY 8 | Brian and Amy will be married in September, so most of us cousins were able to get together and celebrate their upcoming nuptials with a game at Kauffman Stadium!

32: Uncle Jim rented the train out for the VanHouten crew to take over Friday, September 2 before we all headed to Kansas City for Brian and Amy's wedding. We all got to ride the circuit twice and Uncle Aubrey even got a chance to drive the train!
33: The weekend was full of good times - hanging out together as family, celebrating Bo's 3rd birthday and of course plenty of "choo-choos" - but Hayley had a bad fall (not the only cousin to do so) and ended up with a goose egg on her forehead and some scratches on her face, all before the wedding, of course!

44: With the AASLH conference held in Richmond, I knew I had to head back to the old neighborhood and see how things looked. We of course made a stop at our old house - 5584 Stonehaven Drive and even ran into some old neighbors who still live there! We also went by Centerville Elementary and while in Norfolk had dinner at Waterside and even saw the Spirit of Norfolk, a dinner cruise ship that mom and dad took when we lived here 20 years ago!
45: Justin and I took a boat tour of the naval yards and then toured the battleship Wisconsin that is attached to a museum there on the waterfront. Justin's grandpa Mel served on the Wisconsin, as well as the Missouri, as part of the Admiral's Staff. | The Enterprise
46: September 19 | Sandbridge
47: Growing up in Virginia Beach we always went to Sandbridge as a family. To go back and see it look almost exactly as I remembered was great. It wasn't completely built up as I had feared. After visiting Sandbridge we headed to the Boardwalk at Virginia Beach, rented a bike and enjoyed the beautiful day!
48: September 25 The last home game of the regular 2011 season. We headed into the game 2 games back from Atlanta. With their loss and our win this day, we became one game out from continuing on to post-season play. We clinched this title on the absolute last day of the season in Houston. We won and Atlanta lost. Had we both won we would have played a tie-breaker at home on Thursday the 29th. Luckily , this was not needed.
49: October 1
50: GO Cards | Baseball and Brownies! | NLDS - October 1-5 STL vs. PHI | Cardinals employees were invited to a watch party for the first game of the NLDS. It was held at the Bow Tie Bar at Busch. Unfortunately we lost this game, but we came back to win the next night guaranteeing we would play two games in STL.!
51: NLCS - October 9-17 STL vs. MIL | Obviously, it was exciting to made it past the best team in the NL to go on to the NLCS.. My big job that week was to bring out the World Series trophies and put them on display for the pep rallies before each game. I also got the chance to meet Jack Clark, Mike Matheny and the Fan Cave staff! | My first time on the Jumbotron AND to play the organ!
