Our names are Ken & Michelle. We have already been blessed once when we adopted our son, Jacob around 2 1/2 years ago. We are a loving family hoping to be blessed a second time through adoption. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
After years of infertility treatments and three heartbreaking miscarriages, we turned to adoption to make our dream of becoming parents a reality. We always thought it sounded corny when people would say, 'it was meant to be'" but now we truly know what they mean. We couldn't imagine our lives without Jacob in it. Jacob's birthmother was amazing and we were able to be present at the hospital for his birth. Our hearts were his the moment we laid eyes on him. | Our Journey Towards Adoption...

Jacob & Grandma | So many people helped to make our dreams come true. Pictures with our attorney, Robin, the judge and our adoption agency counselors.
The day Jacob's adoption was finalized was very important - it meant the rest of the world recognized him as our son... but to us, he was our son from the moment we first held him.
Home, Sweet Home! We are financially secure and bought our very first home about five years ago. If felt like we were searching for a house forever but we wanted to make sure it was the right house for us -- one where we could raise our children and grow old in -- one that we could call home. Our home is in a great neighborhood with lots of young children. We have a private park with a playground at the end of our street where the development gets together for family events.
so many | Each memory we keep with care means future happiness to share.
LIVE WELL LAUGH OFTEN LOVE MUCH | Family
Family Means Everything to Us We are very close with our parents, siblings and their families. Michelle has one sister who who has two children - a step-daughter who has just graduated college and an eleven year old son. Ken has three brothers, a sister and a total of seven nieces and nephews ranging in age from two to fourteen years old. Both our families live within an hour's drive from us so we see them often. We consider ourselves blessed because we all get along so well that they are not only our family, but also our closest friends.
"Families are like fudge ... mostly sweet with a few nuts." Jacob loves playing with his cousins. It seems like we are always getting together to celebrate someone's birthday or a holiday. And with Ken's family being so large (18 of us in total), it seems like its a party even when it's not! While Jacob LOVES his cousins, we really want him to experience the special bond that only exists between siblings.
 The Hunt Is On
Every year Jacob's cousins Julie & Jessica combine their birthday party with an Easter celebration. This year's birthday party was a sports theme. Aunt Michele (Ken's sister) hid sports-themed Easter eggs filled with candy for the kids to find.
We've started several traditions in our family that we enjoy sharing with Jacob. Each year we go pumpkin picking with Michelle's family. Jacob and his cousin Zachary have fun going on rides and running through the hay mazes. After lunch we all take a ride on the hay wagon and go pick our own pumpkins.
Holiday Memories Warm Even The Coldest Of Days | Ken's family started a tradition of going to chop down our own Christmas trees. We make a day of it, starting with going out for breakfast, picking out and chopping down our own trees, and heading back to Ken's sister's house to get warm around the fire and have a bite to eat.

All I want for Christmas is ...
For some holidays we try to see both of our families which means we end up celebrating more than once, especially Christmas! We usually spend some quiet time alone Christmas morning opening presents, spend Christmas day with one of our families, and then either Christmas eve or the day after Christmas with the other one's family. We're certain Jacob thinks Christmas is a marathon event with so many celebrations and presents.

 Vacation Time!
In addition to holidays and other special occasions, we also enjoy going on vacation together with our families. Even before we were blessed with Jacob we would go away with one of our families. We have been to Disney World twice - once with each of our families. We have also enjoyed a few cruises together - two with Ken's family and one with Michelle's. So far with Jacob we have only taken beach vacations - the first year with Ken's family and the second with Michelle's. This past summer we rented a big house on the Jersey shore and both grandmas stayed the week with various aunts, uncles and cousins coming for visits.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and considering us as potential parents for your child. If you choose us to be your child's family, we will speak with our child lovingly about you as the birthmother or birthfather, and we would be happy to send you letters and pictures over the years.
