FC: Anne Frank Adrian Flores #7 8E
Imagine if you needed to hide with strangers in a small space, not being allowed to make too much noise and you cannot go outside at any time. This is what Anne Frank and her family had been doing for two years, in World War 2, during the Holocaust. Hitler had committed genocide on the Jews, and had a dislike to all other races except the Aryans, who are the "pure" Germans.
Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who's family was being sheltered by kind German people, along with other families.
Hiding for several years with people who were basically strangers and with very little space. This must have been a terrible experience for Anne
Major restrictions on noise, and no opportunity to go outside. This could have caused Anne social problems by the end of the war
How can you grasp the enormity of genocide involving six million people? It is way too much, Hitler was crazy
How do six million people compare to the population of your school? It is no comparison, six million people is too much to compare them.
How many football stadiums would be needed to hold six million people? The biggest stadium I know can hold 750,000 people, this means you would need 6 of these to hold them.
Think of 5 other standards of comparison One would be the percentage of people who were from Germany of all of those 6 mil people.
How many Jewish people were there after the holocaust. How many were there before.
The amount of sorrow this caused to the survivors compared to other events.
How most people in the world feel about this
What are the chances of this happening again? I hope there are non.
