4: Coronado was born in Salamanca Spain, in 1535.
5: Some interesting facts about him were, he went to (New Spain) Mexico and became the governor of Nueva Galicia, and married the wealthy daughter of the colonial treasurer, then had eight children. He also set out to find the 7 cities of gold.
6: One of his major accomplishments was that he discovered the Grand Canyon.
7: Some of his obstacles were the heat of the southwest and dehydration.
8: Francisco Coronado and his crew wanted to go to the New World to claim more land for Spain and find Wealth.
9: Coronado's rewards for exploring the southwest of North America were, claiming territory, respect from fellow partners, and he got to meet the the pueblo Indians.
