2: When and where were you born?
3: "I was born on February 1, 1949 on my grandmas kitchen table."
4: What kind of games did you play growing up?
5: "I played outside a lot at a park near my house with neighborhood kids. We played on the swings and teeter totters. I also liked to play with my hula hoop. Sometimes we would play ball at a ball field."
6: What was your favorite toy and why?
7: "My favorite toy was my Betsy Wetsy doll, i liked it because i loved to play with dolls."
8: What was you favorite thing to do for fun?
9: "I went to the movies with my friends a lot."
10: Did you have family chores? What were they? Which was your least favorite?
11: "Yes, I had to iron the clothes, cook and sometimes I had to sew. My least favorite was to clean the house."
12: What school activities and sports did you participate in?
13: "I couldn't participate in any sports I have heart problems and was not allowed to."
14: Do you remember any fads from your youth? Popular hairstyles? Clothes?
15: "Not really, all I actually remember is bell bottom jeans and teased hair."
16: Who were your childhood heroes?
17: "My hero was Red Skelton."
18: What were your favorite songs and music?
19: "I liked The Beatles a lot."
20: Did you have any pets? If so, what kind and what were their names?
21: "Yes, I had a kippy-dog."
22: Who were your friends when you were growing up?
23: "My best friends were Sue Anne and Nancy."
24: What world events had the most impact on you while you were growing up? Did any of them personally affect your family?
25: "Yes, JFK assassination, and the first man in orbit. And no, none of them would affect me."
26: How is the world today different from what it was like when you were a child?
27: "Its slower paced, the way people dress is way different, attitudes, language and morality has changed a lot too."
28: Are there any physical characteristics that run in your family?
29: "Yes, red hair."

32: When and how did you meet your spouse? What did you do on dates?
33: "We worked together at West Lake Quarry. We went to Pizza Hut, movies and peoples houses."
34: What was it like when you were proposed to? Where and when did it happen? How did you feel?
35: "It was romantic. I felt wonderful and surprised. He proposed to me at the stock car races in August of 1968."
36: Where and when did you get married?
37: "We got married at Church of God in St. Charles Missouri on November 9, 1968."
38: What memory stands out the most from your wedding day?
39: "There was an earthquake."
40: What do you believe is the key to a successful marriage?
41: "Communication sounds like a winner."
42: How did you find out you were going to be a parent for the first time?
43: "I missed my period, and went to the doctors."
44: Why did you choose your children's names?
45: "I don't know why I named my first child Janet. I named my second child Mary after her great grandma. I named my third child Steven Bernell after his father and grandpa."
46: What was your proudest moment as a parent?
47: "That would probably have to be, graduation days."
48: What was your profession and how did you choose it?
49: "I was an office worker."
50: If you could have any other profession what would it have been? Why wasn't it your first choice?
51: "I wanted to be a nurse, but it just never happened."
