2: The Beginning | There were mostly pilgrims that journeyed to sacred places.The turks were battling against a strong war the people that were leaving Europe. The Crusades Journeyed off to the Holy Land to join a new religious order. The crusades were good horseman that knew the land and would joust enemies.Crusades-where a series of military launches of war. | The Crusades were one of the largest military wars sent on a mission. The Crusades were heavily skilled with many known war experiences.
3: Jerusalem | It was one of the holiest cities at the time. Jerusalem was important to the Jewish because it was the city of David, the sight of Solomon's Church. It was also important to Muslims because the prophet Muhammad ascended to Heaven. The first Temple was built during the reign of Davids son, Solomon. For 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital. King David found the city of Jerusalem. | This is a picture of the Crusades and the People of the churches in Europe.
4: The Pope | There were many important pope's like pope Benedict, pope Urban II. The pope were very religious and had power over churches. They lead the churches over the land. In 380 A.D., the Roman Empire declared the Catholic Church to be the official religion. The pope also wished the control and power of the Holy Land(Jerusalem).Pope Urban II, assisted Emperor Alexus I.
5: Weapons used during the crusades periods | The first military launch were using long swords that was great for battle. There were also men who would pull out a dagger if there sword fails. There were also high towers called Siege towers. Also, used arrows with bows. The Siege towers could go over walls. They used many complicated weapons like spears, long swords and Maces. They would also use explosives and gunpowder. There was a specific weapon that was used like a crossbow that could shoot arrows a distance from 350-450 yards. 6: Medieval Period | The Medieval time of history spans a period of more than 700 years, beginning around the year 800. A major part of the medieval history were the Crusades. The split of the church and the expansion of Christianity, the Crusades were launched to defend Christianity from Islam. In 1291 fell and the Crusades effectively ended. In total, the Crusades lasted more than 200 years. While tens of thousands of Crusades died and new technologies developed many new trade routes.
7: The Result | The age of Exploration was possible. Population explosions sanitary conditions which lead to black death, half of Europe's population died. Overall this result can be divided into the High middle age's, Dark ages, Later middle ages. The Later middle ages started and the renaissance came. Most of the Crusades died during the launches the church wanted. More than 20,000 people died during these launches. Then the other empires took over the land took by the Crusades, the other periods and empires started.
