3: 1921 Silent comic star/director Charlie Chaplin's first feature length film The Kid and his first film as a producer premiered | The Technique of test screenings of films to get audience feedback was invented by silent film comedian Harold Lloyd and producer Hal Roach | D.W. Griffith's film Dream Street, was the first feature length film to use sound
4: Russian Filmmaker Lev Kuleshov experimented with montage, a new editing technique pioneered by Russian filmmakers. The Power of Love (now a lost film) was the first 3-D feature film shown to a paying film audience | German Shepard Rin Tin Tin became the cinema's first canine star and helped save Warner Brothers studios from bankruptcy The first Walt Disney cartoon was Little Red Riding Hood, one of his Laugh O Grams studio productions | 1922

9: Fox started using th Movietone system which was when in the system the soundtrack could be placed onto the actual film rather than on a separate disc like the vitaphone system Motion picture film became standarized at 24 frames per second. The silent film ear ended when Warner Bros. produced and debuted, The Jazz Singer, the first widely-screened feature-length talkie with dialogue | 1927

12: The film industry has developed extremely, so many things have started and begun. The biggest impact though is definitely how, in the beginning films did not use any sound and now every film has dialogue in it.
