BC: This one of a kind recipe book was put together by your friends and family to celebrate the new life you and Brian are about to embark upon. FC: For Mary & Brian

1: Apple Crisp From Sadie Place in buttered square cake pan 4 Cups peeled and sliced apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1 tsp. salt. Add 1/4 cup water. Rub together (crumble) 3/4 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1/3 cup butter. Drop mixture over apples and bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 350 degrees. If you like more topping just double the above.

2: Norwegian Apple Pie By Sue | Mix together 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1 cup flour and 2 eggs. Add 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 cups diced apples, pinch of salt and 1 cup chopped walnuts. Mix throughly and pour into 2 slightly greased 9" pie pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes. Should be slightly brown on top. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream (the best) or whipped cream. | Congratulations Mary and Brian!

3: Chipotle Pork loin From Lin 1 tsp chili powder 1 tsp paprika -smoked 1/2 tsp cumin 1 tbsp olive oil kosher salt 1 1/2 pounds boneless pork loin. Heat oven to 375 degrees Mix and rub on pork Cook 40-50 minutes until pork registers 145 degrees. Wait 5 minutes and serve with salad.

4: Butter Pecan Torte From Lynn | 60 Ritz crackers - (save a few crackers to put on top of whip cream) crushed. 1/2 cup melted butter. Mix together well and line a 9" x 13" pan. 2 small Jello coconut pudding (instant) 1 1/2 cup milk. Beat together. Add 1 quart Butter Pecan Ice Cream - cream together. Top with whip cream. Garnish with crackers.

5: Vera's Sloppy Joe's 1lb ground beef 1 onion chopped 1 can Tomato Soup 2 tbsp relish 1 tsp. sugar Salt and pepper as needed Sprinkle cinnamon and stir in. Saute onion till tender Add ground beef and brown. Add other ingredients and simmer 10-15 minutes. | Be happy!

6: Ricotta Cheese Cookies from Kris 2 cups granulated sugar 1 cup margarine or butter 1-15oz container ricotta cheese 2 tsp vanilla 2 large eggs 4 cups flour 2 tbsp baking powder 1 tsp salt Preheat oven to 350 In a large bowl on low speed beat butter and sugar till blended, then on high till fluffy, then turn to medium and add in cheese, vanilla and eggs till combined. reduce to low and add in flour, baking soda and salt. Beat till dough forms. Drop by tsp 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown...cookies will be soft.

8: Grandma Roos's Cinnamon Coffee Cake | Mix thoroughly - 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 stick of butter 2 eggs Stir in - 1 cup milk Sift and stir in - 3 cups flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt Spread in greased and floured 9 1/2" x 11" pan. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and bake for 30-35 minutes.

9: Slush Cake 1 1/2 cups flour 1 stick margarine- mix until crumbly. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts Press into a 13 x 9 pan - bake for 12 minutes in a 350 degree oven Mix - 2 8 oz. cream cheese 1 cup powdered sugar 1 9 oz. cool whip Blend in mixer - spread over crust Mix 2 packages instant pudding (any flavor) and 2 cups milk. Spread over cheese mixture. Top with 1 9 oz cool whip and crushed nuts. Chill and serve..

10: Cheesy Potatoes from Joannie S. | 1 bag frozen hash browns 16 oz sour cream 1 can cream of chicken soup 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese 1 stick butter or margarine Melt butter and add other ingredients in a 9 x 13 casserole pan Bake @ 350 for one hour

11: Sticky Buns from Maryann | 1 pkg.(12) Rich's frozen dinner rolls Arrange in a slightly buttered Bunt pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 box Butterscotch pudding (not instant). Sprinkle on cinnamon and top with chopped nuts. (Pecans or walnuts) On stove - melt 1 stick butter, add 1 tbs. brown sugar and 1/2 cup sugar. Pour over bread dough and cover well. Put in refrigerator overnight. Bake in the morning at 350 for 1/2 hour. Flip onto plate and serve.

12: Crepes (egg pancakes) by Karen 6 eggs about 1 cup of milk 1/4 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp sugar 1/4 to 1/2 cup flour - add flour a table spoon at a time batter should be thin. Cook on griddle until brown. | For my BFF

13: Picante Chicken by Lisa | Picante Chicken 1 jar picante sauce 1 tbsp mustard 3 tbsp brown sugar 2-4 chicken breast Mix together and pour over chicken breast. Cover and cook in a 400 degree over for 35-45 minutes. Serve with rice mixed with white beans and good tortilla chips. Less picante can be used for 2 | by Lisa

14: Amish Cinnamon Friendship Bread by Laura Tips: Do not use metal utensils, If air fills the bags let it out. It is normal for the batter to thicken and bubble Starting Batch: 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour and 1 cup sugar Place in large plastic zip lock bag Day 1 & 2 - Do nothing Day 3, 4 and 5 - Squeeze the bag many times to mix Day 6 - Add 1 cup of each - milk, flour & sugar. squeeze bag to mix Day 7, 8 and 9 - Squeeze bag to mix Day 10 - In a large non-metallic bowl combine batter with 1 cup of each - milk, flour & sugar. Mix with a wooden spoon Pour 3 - 1 cup starters into gallon size zip lock bag

15: and give 2 starter bags away to friends with a copy of these instructions. Keep 1 for yourself To the remaining batter in the bowl, add the following: 1 cup oil, 1/2 cup milk, 1 cup sugar, 2 cups flour, 3 eggs, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt and 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding In a separate bowl, mix 1 tsp cinnamon and 3 tbsp sugar - Sprinkle into 2 well greased loaf pans before pouring batter into them Bake at 325 for 1 hour- remove from pans to cool. 1 batch = 2 loaves.

16: Hungarian Goulash 3/4 lb. beef stew meat cut into small cubes. Minced onion 1/2 tsp dry mustard 1 1/2 tsp paprika 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tsp salt 3 tbsp worchestershire sauce 3/4 tsp vinegar 1/2 cup ketchup 1 1/2 cups water | Brown meat in heavy fry pan - add onions. Combine all ingredients and add to meat with water. Cover and cook over very low heat for 2 1/2 hours. Thicken sauce a little bit and serve over cooked wide noodles.

18: Cut out cookies from Myrna 3 eggs, 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar, 1 1/2 tsp cream of tarter, 1 1/2 tsp baking soda dissolved in 2 tbsp of milk, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla and about 5 cups of flour. | Cream butter and sugar together. Add vanilla, milk, soda, eggs then salt and cream of tarter sifted with about 3 cups of flour. Add enough flour to make a dough that may be rolled. Best if chilled overnight. Roll on floured board, cut and bake on ungreased sheet for about 10 minutes at 375 degrees

19: Pork Chops w/Apple By Dorothy 4 pork chops 1/4 cup water 1 lrg onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. salt 3 med. apples, sliced 1/2 tsp. cayenne 2 tbsp of honey pepper 1 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 tsp. allspice Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a lg glass baking dish with cooking spay. Place pork chops in the pan. Saute onions and apples on high for 5 min. Place them over pork chops in baking dish. Drizzle honey and lemon juice over the mix Evenly sprinkle all spice over mix and add water to bottom of pan. Cover with foil and cook for 1 hour.

20: Dad's Turkey Dressing 3 tbsp chopped onion 1 1/2 cup celery 1/4 cup margarine 4 cups bread torn in pieces 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning 1/2 tsp sage 2-4 tbsp water to moisten Cook onion and celery in butter until clear and soft, about 2 min. Combine with bread and seasonings Mix with hands, add warm water until moist and holds together. Cook 350 degrees covered with foil. Remove foil and cook 10-15 minutes to brown.

22: Barbecue Sauce from Doreen 3 cups ketchup (1 bottle) 2 tbsp horseradish 3 cups water 6 tbsp vinegar 1 chopped onion Garlic 1 chopped green pepper 8 tbsp lemon juice 1 chopped celery 6 tbsp worcestershire sauce 5 tbsp margarine or butter Few dashes hot sauce Few dashes tabasco sauce Combine ingredients. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Keep in refrigerator overnight. Place cooked hamburgers in sauce and bake about 1 hour in oven at 350 degrees Perfect for crock pot (after cooked hamburgers and cooked sauce) for parties. Add Costanza's rolls.

23: Meat Loaf from Grail 1 1/2 lb ground beef (90%) 1/2 cup bread crumbs, finely chopped onion 1 egg (slightly beaten), salt and pepper, 1/2 can tomato sauce (8 oz). Mix thoroughly - form into loaf- put into shallow pan. Sauce 1 1/12 cans tomato sauce (8 oz), 1/2 can water, 3 tbsp vinegar, 3 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tsp mustard, 2 tsp worchestershire sauce. Mix well and pour over meat loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Baste occasionally. | We love you guys!

24: Name | Chicken Rice Bake by Barb | Brown 2 or 4 chicken breasts 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix 1 can minute rice. (Thin soup with about 1/3 can of milk) Mex well - Place mixture in a baking pan and place chicken on top. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

25: Buffalo Potato Wedges with Warm Blue Cheese Dip From Julie 3 tbsp hot pepper sauce (Franks Redhot) 3 tbsp butter, melted 1 tbsp seasoned salt 2 1/2 pounds baking potatoes, 1 cup blue cheese crumbles 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1/2 teaspoon pepper 7 celery ribs, cut into 3 inch sticks Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a large bowl combine 1 tbsp each - hot sauce and butter with the seasoned salt. Cut each potato into 8 wedges, add to the bowl and toss. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Arrange the potatoes on top and roast, turning once, until golden, 35 to 40 minutes. remove and toss with the remaining 2 tbsp each hot sauce and butter. In a small saucepan, stir together the blue cheese, sour cream, mayo and pepper. Heat until warmed through about 3 minutes. Serve with potatoes and celery sticks.

26: Stuffed French Bread from Sue Ingredients: 1 Loaf sour dough French bread, 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, 6 cloves garlic minced, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, 1 1/2 cup sour cream, 2 cups jack cheese cubed, 2 tbsp parsley, 2 tsp lemon pepper, 1 can artichoke hearts (14 oz size) chopped and shredded cheddar cheese. Directions: Split French bread, remove centers and cube.. Saute butter, garlic and sesame seeds for a while, then add cubed French bread. Mix well and saute till golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside. Combine everything else except the shredded cheddar cheese. Add the sauted bread mixture and stir well.. "Stuff" into the French Bread halves. Wrap each half separately in foil, leaving top open. Spread shredded cheddar cheese on top. Bake in 350 oven for 20-25 minutes. Let set for a few minutes. Slice and eat while still warm.

28: Strawberry-Topped French Toast Bake From Tina Ingredients: French toast Bake: 1 loaf (16 oz) French bread (about 18 inches long), cut into 24 3/4 inch thick slices 1 container (8 oz) pineapple or strawberry cream cheese spread 4 eggs, 1/4 cup milk, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon and 2 tbsp butter, melted Topping: 1 quart (4 cups) fresh strawberries 1/2 cup sugar 2 tbsp amaretto, if desired or vanilla Directions: 1) Spray 13x9 glass baking dish with cooking spray. Spread about 1 tbsp cream cheese on 12 bread slices. Top with remaining bread slices to form 12 sandwiches. Place sandwiches in baking dish to cover bottom of dish. 2) In medium bowl, beat eggs. Beat in milk, 1/4 cup sugar, the salt and cinnamon until

29: well blended. Pour over bread in baking dish. Let stand at room temperature 5 minutes. Turn bread slices over. cover, refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. 3) Chop 1 cup of the strawberries. (Refrigerate remaining berries). In non-metal bowl, gently stir chopped strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar and the amaretto or vanilla until mixed. Cover, refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. 4) When ready to bake, heat oven to 400 degrees. Uncover baking dish, heat 2 tbsp butter until melted, drizzle bread slices with melted butter. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. 5) Meanwhile, slice remaining strawberries and add to chilled strawberry mixture, mix lightly. Serve French toast with strawberry topping.

30: Laica Potatoes from Caillie 1-2 lbs bag frozen hash browns 1 pint sour cream 1 Large or 2 small cans of mushroom soup (or other cream sour) 1 cup chopped onion 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese Partially thaw hash browns. Mix together all the other ingredients. Add potatoes and mix. Lightly grease 13 x 9 casserole dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour

31: Brocco-Slaw by Rebecca 1 package Broccoli Cole slaw 1 cup Sunflower Seeds 1 package Ramen Noodles (any flavor - I use oriental). Chopped onions (optional) brocco-slaw dressing (below). Brocco-saw dressing: 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup oil 1/4 cup vinegar flavor packet from Ramen Noodles Mix all the Brocco-slaw ingredients. The Ramen Noodles need to be broken into pieces. Mix dressing separately. Just before serving mix in the dressing with the slaw.

32: Mint Chocolate Cookies by Grail 3 pkg Andes Mints (28 mints in each pkg), 3/4 cup margarine, 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, 2 tbsp water, 1 pkg (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips, 2 large eggs, 2 1/2 cups flour and 1 1/4 tsp baking soda. Unwrap the mints and set aside. In a saucepan, heat and mix together the margarine, sugar and water. Add the chocolate chips and stir to partially melted. Remove from heat and continue to stir until melted. Pour into a large mixing bowl and let cool for 10 minutes. Beat in the eggs at high speed. Add the remaining ingredients and beat to blend. Chill the dough for 1 hour. Roll the dough into small balls (about 1" in diameter). Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Place a mint on each cookie as soon as you remove from oven. Remove the cookies from sheet. As soon as the mints have softened, spread them over the cookies. Enjoy!

33: Congratulations! | Carol's Banana Pudding 1/2 box Nilla wafers 2 bananas 1 box vanilla instant pudding 2 1/2 cups milk 4 oz sour cream 1 8 oz Cool Whip 1/2 cup toasted coconut Mix pudding and milk with mixer. Add 3/4 Cool Whip and sour cream. Refrigerate 5-10 minutes. Brown coconut with 1 tbsp butter - in pan or microwave. Layer pudding, bananas and cookies. Top with rest of Cool Whip and coconut.

34: Pancakes by Mom 1 cup buttermilk 2 tbsp oil 1 egg Mix together 1 cup flour ___ Mix together before 1/2 tsp baking soda ___ putting in buttermilk or 2 tsp baking powder ____ or at least put flour in 2 tbsp sugar before soda and powder 1/2 tsp salt
