S: Fantastic Four
BC: Made with and for love.
FC: Four Years of Bliss June 15, 2009-June 15, 2010
This was a great year (I guess they all have been pretty wonderful). We were tested this year because I left for almost four months and instead of struggling, our relationship grew and evolved (and even thrived). You always promised to support me in everything that I aspire to do, and you proved that to me this year. I graduated college and left the country. You supported me the entire time. Not only did you support me, but you embraced my experiences and were truly happy for me. I promise to do the same for you, no matter what you have dreamt up. I want to see you and help you achieve everything that you aspire to reach. I know that you want the same for me. Thank you for being the real deal...a true life partner. I love you always and forever.
Celebrating our fourth year together at the parade in Cleveland.
Relaxing days in Vermillion with your family.
Founders Weekend in Akron, Ohio | Motorcycle procession into the cemetary to visit Dr. Bob's grave.
Opening of the new wing at the Cleveland Museum of Art.. DJ Rehka performs and we even get to meet her. We discover that the Spencer Tunick photograph that I participated in is on display in the gallery.
The first photos of our soon to be house. You hit the jackpot on this house babe! We have made it our own, special home.
 A wonderful summer with Susie.
Summer of fun. Parties and cookouts at 29 Beck and New Kids on the Block Concert at Blossom.
Trip to the Farm Sanctuary in NY State. This incredible place rescues farm animals from abuse in factory farms or any other neglectful or abusive situations.
Time to get away... We took the train to Chicago to visit Sarah and Corbin. While we were there, we hopped on the Megabus to Milwaukee to visit Nate and Nicolina. We ate some fantastic food, went to the top of the Sears Tower, walked through parks and beaches, scoped out President Barack Obama's Chicago home, rode low rider bicycles down the coast, pigged out at the farmers' market, and enjoyed our friendships together. Memories of this trip are documented on the pages to come.
 Isaiah's 1st birthday party.
Some of my favorite memories with you are spent on (and off) the trails. Making rock sculptures in the rivers, exploring new parks, and enjoying each other and nature. Thank you for taking part in these simple and joyful parts of life with me.
A day spent with Jenna in Lakewood (for some fine Vegan Grilled Cheese Sandwiches) and at Lake Erie.
Student Teaching at Helen Arnold Community Learning Center with Kathy Keubel and Litchfield Middle School with Sauni Kolar.
College Graduation and Graduation Party | I graduate college and prepare for the journey of a lifetime to Ghana for four months. The food at my party was Ghanaian food (which turned out to be better in America than it is in Ghana). Dad told me on my graduation day that "An education is the one thing in life that can never be taken away from you. I will remind my students of that for the rest of my career.
Story Corps Interview Story Corps is an Oral History Project that records the average persons experience. Mom and I interviewed each other about life, love, and mostly veganism. Some interviews are aired on MPR on Friday mornings.
The beginning of our love affair with cats. This was one of Jeremiah's mom's cats.
Getting Ready to Embark on a Journey. | From Left to right: A group of friends taking me out to dinner before I leave for Ghana. Jeremiah and I saying goodbye the morning of my flight to Ghana. The postcard that Jeremiah wrote to me after I drove away. | Left to Right: A potluck at 29 Beck with friends before I go to Ghana. Packing with Jenna and Jeremiah. All packed and ready to go!!
The following pages will chronicle the things that happened at home while I was away.
The tattoo that Jeremiah was planning on getting on his neck in honor of me. The plums are a symbol that he associated with me after our first date when we listened to the song "The Best is Yet to Come" by Tony Bennett. The first line of the song is "Out of the tree of life, I just picked me a plum". | My valentines gift that I sent to Jeremiah while in Ghana. All the hearts had to be put in the correct order to reveal the hidden message.
Welcome Back! I came back from Ghana in March of 2010. Readjustment was very difficult, and there were days that I would just cry for seemingly no reason. I missed the children, the country, the lifestyle, and the idea of living in Africa. Jeremiah was my rock and support system. Even though he may not have understood my emotions, he was there to support me in any way that he could. I'm so grateful for the life changing experience that I had in Ghana, and con not wait for the day that I get to take Jeremiah there and introduce him to my forever second home.
Kittens at 29 Beck Ave. | I came home from Ghana to 1 day old kittens. Joy offered to foster them from One of a Kind Pets until they were old enough to be adopted out. I adopted Vera and eventually Jeremiah and I adopted Larry (Vera's brother) from Jane, his owner who could not keep him. This is the beginning of a happy family.
Vacations Whenever we need a weekend away, Columbus is a frequent choice. With great parks, bike trails, shopping, and vegan food options it gives us a chance to have fun and get away. This particular trip, we explored some new parks (with outdoor video game and climbing wall), ate some delicious food, and enjoyed the warm summer weather. Later in the summer, my family traveled to Colorado to visit Uncle Greg and his family. The whole Browne family was there. We also made a stop in Colorado Springs to spend some time with Kali. White water rafting and Garden of the Gods were both highlights.
Colorado | Left: Hot Tub outside of our condo with an incredible view. Middle: Group picture before White Water Rafting. Small pictures starting at top right: Garden of the Gods family photo, view from back of condo, Kali and I at Garden of the Gods, Uncle Greg with his wife with mom and Aunt Kelly, another gorgeous view from our condo.
Random Memories The following pictures are random memories that we had together throughout the year. Thank you for giving me so many things to remember and a million more things to look forward to.
Good Fortunes Our new couch and the living pre purple paint. | Halloween piercing special. I think you did over 100 piercings that day. | Trip to Melt Bar and Grilled for some delicious and vegan grilled cheese sandwiches. Worth every penny!
Top row: Halloween night at Annabells with Dad, Darah, and Uncle Louie. Dad played a joke on Darah which ended in smashing her pack of cigarettes. Left" Hanna, Joy, and I drove out to this grossly abusive factory farm in the middle of the night to protest their cruel and unusual treatment of animals.
Party at 29 Beck. Brian was very lovey (and drunkey).. | Jesse and Brian making fun of my environmental responsibility. | Good times at Annabells. | Megan posing in front of the Tween Diva Store.
