FC: A Little of This & A Little of That | 2007 to 2011
1: It was a black & white affair with a classy cake, not-so-classy drinks and a hot pair of Steve Madden patent leather heels | Kodi's 21st Birthday!
2: Nursing 291 Med-Surg Fort Saskatchewan Health Center | This clinical was packed full of A.S.M.s... Awkward Sharon Moments! | Wilson, Nathan, Me, Quinn Natalie, Caitlin, Shannon
3: Screw NANDA, here's a real nursing diagnosis... "ineffective coping r/t unreasonable demands of nursing school and faculty bullshit a.e.b. mental breakdowns, crying, excessive venting and a strong desire to drink excessively" | Brenda, Jolene, Jen Quinn, Carling, Me Jessica, Lormirra | Nursing 491 - Pediatric Medicine | Last day! N291 was more like 'Survivor' than school
4: During my N491 clinical Alberta Health Services instituted a total hiring freeze and put out an employee Code of Conduct that effectively muzzled staff from speaking out about increasingly unsafe working conditions and detiorating patient care. In an effort to inform the public about these issues I and a few classmates began a nursing student campaign. We met with our local MLAs, gave print and live interviews to both local and national news agencies, started letter writing campaigns and engaged nursing programs across the province. We then held a hugely successful news conference and followed that up with a rally for students of all health professions. It was such an empowering experience! | Political Action
5: News conference speakers: Quinn, Shannon, Jen, Melissa, & I. Rally guest speakers: UNA president Heather Smith, Opposition Health Critic Kevin Taft, NDP MLA Rachel Notley, Friends of Medicare president David Eggen
6: Teddy Bear Project for the Sexual Assault Center of Edmonton | During my mental health rotation at S.A.C.E I created a program designed to engage the community in supporting the children receiving abuse counselling. Each child entering the program chose a cuddly friend to help them through their sessions, while knowing someone nearby had made it just for them. Groups and individuals either built or sponsored the building of a custom Build-A-Bear teddy bear and donated it to S.A.C.E. By the end of my rotation over 100 bears were collected, a value of several thousand dollars. My hope is that each bear has made therapy a little less scary for some very special kids.
7: Jackson donated by Alberta Parks Division | Elisha donated by Mom and Dad & Wally Bear Donated by Uncle Wally | Carson donated byAlberta Parks Division | Vanessa donated by Bill and Noella

My tickets lived on my fridge for 2 years until finally I got to see one of my all time favorite bands play live on June 1st 2011. It was an AMAZING show!!
