10: Writing | Writing is the representation of language and communication in a textual medium. Similarly, writing is one of the platforms to communicate our ideas and strategies effectively to our business partners in a persuasive accost. As a literature student and student writer, writing is my one of my passionate interest. Through the module I am studying in Elective Literature currently, it is definitely essential to possess good writing skills in order to pen down our analytical thoughts logically and concisely. The power of writing and words could not be underestimated as it does not only convey our ideas but also our attitude and personal qualities. Whereas, in business industry, writing skills are needed

32: 4.0.1 Introduction of Entrepreneur Club - Rector Theme 'Rector' translation of Leader from Spanish. From year 2008 to 2011,the theme 'Rector' was chosen. Entrepreneur Club aims to instill leadership qualities in every member. In addition, the club aims to promote entrepreneurial management and student leadership through its activities and events; so as to train the members to be future leaders of business industries of the next generation. Vision To promote and instill innovation and entrepreneurial culture in our students. Mission To be the leading group for promoting entrepreneurship through partnership with higher learning organizations, skills development, mentoring and resource support. In Entrepreneur Club, we do not only emphasize on learning entrepreneurial skills and efficiency, but bonding between club members as well. Other than theories and hands-on activities, the Executive Committee members organizes occasional bonding sessions, camps and field trips to not only strengthen the bond between the members but also allow them to develop leadership through their participation in these fun-filled and enjoyable events. Also, the club enrolls its members to at least two business-related courses or workshops each year which will equip us with entrepreneurial knowledge, and we had chances for social interaction with companies due to platforms such as projects and competitions. If we have some creative ideas in mind or we had discovered any business opportunities in school, the club encourages all members to embark on a sales project if the teachers and Executive Committee find our ideas to be profitable. From organizing till executing, facing challenges and finding solutions, and finally have a great sense of satisfaction. Entrepreneur Club provides ample opportunities for its members to discover their entrepreneurial and leadership talents through the execution of sales projects with club funds.
33: 4.0.2 Leadership Roles Events and Well-being Manager (2009 to 2010) As an Events and Well-being Manager, I am required to introduce and propose new events and activities to the club so as to allow them to learn and develop entrepreneurial skills in a fun and interactive way. After planning, I need to facilitate my proposed activity or event and ensure that all club members benefited from it. In my period of serving the club as an Events and Well-being Manager, I enhanced my events planning and management skills, self-confidence and leadership through the platform of planning and facilitation. Vice-President (2010 to 2011) I was appointed as the Vice-President of Entrepreneur Club in April 2010. Being a Vice-President, I am always placed as the deputy in-charge or overall in-charge in projects and events so as to ensure that responsibilities were evenly distributed within the Organizing Team. In addition, I am responsible of the management of the club; and I am to facilitate every meeting and project discussions with the President. As the Vice-President of Entrepreneur Club, I learned the importance of balancing myself between school work and activities due to the heavy responsibility and pressure; and definitely my leadership position further enhanced my leadership qualities and related areas of management and entrepreneurial skills. Last but not least, my self-confidence level boosted as I am constantly exposed to facilitation and public-speaking.

35: 4.1.1 CSC Young Entrepreneur Competition 2009 CSC Young Entrepreneur Competition is organized by Civil Service Club in year 2009. The competition aims to instill entrepreneurship and innovation in the participants. This competition is judged mainly based on profit and promotional strategies. Our team, Sweet Desires emerged as one of the consolation winners by selling food and beverages.

37: 4.1.2 Young EntrepreneurShip COMpetition (YESCOM!) Young EntrepreneurShip COMpetition (YESCOM!) 2009 is organized by Singapore Polytechnic. The competition began with a series of workshops on business ideas generation, marketing and business plan writing. From there, students went on to develop their business ideas and refine their business plans. From which, our team ECOLISTIC came up with a business plan which focuses on introducing a new eco-friendly product- Potain. ECOLISTIC emerged as one of the Top 24 Semi-finalist.
38: 4.1.3 National Pushcart Challenge Organized by the Centre for Innovation & Enterprise, Republic Polytechnic. National Pushcart Challenge was initiated as a platform for all secondary schools who have participated in the Entrepreneurship Education Program (EEP). Through this competition, participating schools will be given the opportunity to pit their entrepreneurial skills with each other in this two days nationwide competition. Held annually, this competition seeks to raise the profile of the EEP as well as to bring together schools on a common entrepreneurial platform to enhance students’ learning.
