As a special gift to you, friends and family from across the country took the time to write you special messages to help you celebrate your day. Enjoy! | August 26, 2011
Lori, Happy 50th Birthday. Wow where has the time gone, it sure seemed to get here quickly. I sure hope you have a great birthday. Glad to see you are still moving around pretty good for a 50 year old hooker. HAHA!! Love ya, Bill | To my wonderful wife and best friend, you make 50 look awesome!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I LOVE YOU | Dear Mom, Thank you for all that you have done for me over the years. The selflessness that you've displayed. The unconditional love and support that you've given. I can only hope and pray that I show my kids the love that you have shown me. Also, thank you for always supporting me, even when you knew I wasn't making the best choice. And letting me learn from my mistakes. You always help me pick up the pieces. Thank you for being such an awesome Grandma, Mother-in-law and Mom to us. We love you more than you could ever know. Love Jen
Mom, You have given me so much to be thankful for. Your love and support throughout the years and the way you and Dad raised us to be such a close, loving family makes me SO grateful for the two of you each and every day. Thank you for always encouraging me to follow my dreams and for letting me know you will be there for me no matter what. Happy 50th birthday. I hope it has been everything you've hoped for, because you absolutely deserve it. Love Always, ~Chels~ | Mom, Thank you for all the support over the years. You have been a rock that has been much needed and will always continue to be needed. I hope the next 50 are even more eventful and wonderful than the first. Here's to a great grandmother, mother, and more importantly..a friend. Love,Benjamin
Dear Mimi- Happy Birthday to you! My favorite thing to do with you is play! I like it when we play games and go outside and play. I love to blow bubbles outside with you. I love you so, so, super duper, super duper, super duper much. Love Makenna Paige | October 1. 2010 Mimi with Makenna and Maddox
Happy 50th my dear sister. Don't worry I think the crows feet around your eyes and the laugh lines at the corners of your mouth give you an air of distinction. We all still love you. ~Phillip~ | I have had a difficult time coming up with just the right thing to say. I mean, how am I supposed to say what you mean to me in a few short sentences? You are not just my sister. You are my friend. I can't say you are my BFF because that title is reserved for Ted but you are pretty darn close. I love you with all my heart. Happy 50th Birthday Sissy!! Love you, Nik
Fifty years ago I was very pregnant, since I was about to deliver a 9 pound 12 ounce baby (in those days they could not tell you what the sex of the child was.) Your dad was away on a trucking run as he was when Phillip was born. So I had with me James and Betty Jo Loague and Mama Wiley. After you were born there was a problem with one of your arms due to your size at birth. Your dad arrived at the hospital about two hours after the birth. As aunt Marie was looking at you in the nursery she saw the nurses checking out your arm and asked what was going on? They then told us that if the problem did not work itself out we would have to take you to Birmingham for therapy. Lucikily it went away on its on. You got paybacks for that when you had Ben also a 9 pounder, Ha! Fifty is not so bad. I was there once and survived! I have always been proud of you, Ted is a great son-in-law, I love the kids and grandkids with all my heart. Happy Birthday and many more! Love you Mom
My dear Lisa (I know, I know, Lori to most of those "northerners" in your life) I don't know where to begin or how to put into words the life experiences we have shared. First of all, just in case you haven't figured it out, on Friday you will be 50 years and 9 months, so see you have already survived turning the big "50" I have always felt that we were more than aunt/niece, that you were like a little sister that I never had. Of course, I could go into many stories about our "adventures" but need I say more than you driving on the interstate when I was teaching you how to drive (before age 16) much to your Mom and Dad's displeasure. Then, of course, need I go to the place of our "wrong" turn going to Nashville by way of Knoxville! Last, but not least, the children you have blessed me with are priceless and thank you for all the times I have been included in their special celebrations. Love you very much! Aunt Cindy
Happy Birthday Aunt Lisa! 12: Lori, You are my Supastaaar! From the moment we met, I knew you were something unique. You (and of course, your sidekick Theo) have been there for us in the worst, and best, of times. It's hard to put into words what that means--God truly blessed my life when he decided we should become friends. Your heart is so big--you've embraced our family as your own; your beauty so radiating--you give to others all that you have; and your friendship so special--you've always been there. Enjoy this day and rememeber, you will always have a special place in my heart and you will always be older than me (can't let that one get by). Love you more than words can say... "Betsy"

Happy Birthday to a dear friend. Life starts at 50...well a different kind of life...but you will do just great in the next 50...LOL ~ Von Bailey~ | Dear Lori Just remember it's just a number, it could mean 50 cents, $50.00, 50 bales of hay, 50 laps around the track! So have a wonderful fun filled day, enjoy all the fuss and know that we all love you very much. You are the best! HAPPY "50TH" BIRTHDAY!!!!! STEVA
I was 50 once and it "was a very good year"... I hope you have a blessed day and please know that a whole lot of people love you and wish you many happy years of special days. The Knisel's .
Lisa, always remember to love life no matter what your age. Each day is a journey to enjoy. I was pretty little, but I remember the day you were born and have loved you ever since. A little story I am sure you do not know. When your mom was pregnant with you, I asked Mother if Aunt Mary Nell was going to have a baby. She took Deb and I into the bathroom (thats where we had all our talks) and explained where babies came from. When she finished she asked how we knew Aunt Mary Nell was going to have a baby. I said, it was because she was wearing the same clothes she wore when she had Phillip so I figured she must be having a baby. LOL. My life has been made better because you are my cousin. Happy 50th. Love you, Kathy
Happy Happy Birthday Lisa!! Don't concern yourself with what number it is, it's not that important. I truly wish we lived closer and could spend more Family time together. I have so many Great Memories from when we were Kids and you guys lived in Alabama!! Wouldn't trade them for anything on Earth!! Still laugh about Paul getting shot in the Toe with the BB Gun under that Bedroom Door, your Dad really ripped into me and Phillip that day!! lol..... 21: Lisa, Happy Birthday! You are a beautiful person both inside and out and that has not changed in the 25 plus years that I have known you. Thank you for trusting me with your children and for showing me what it takes to be a good mother. I always admired the way you were with your children even as a little girl myself. Thanks for sharing your family with me! I would not be who I am today without the love and affection I received from the Wiley clan. You are loved! Sheila (Robison) Jacobson . | Lisa, my sister from another mother HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Cheers to a fantastic 50th year! XOXO, Kelli

Happy 50th Birthday Lisa How about that, we are now the same age *wink wink*. It's really not to bad. Now when momma turned fifty that was old!!!! I think I like this number so I'm staying here. I just have to color my hair alittle more often and use more bondo but what ever. I'm thinking we have it all, great husbands, great kids, great parents and siblings, friends, and of course cousins (smile) what more could we ask for??? Enjoy your special day and remember 50 isn't so bad after all. Love you always Your 50ish cuz Debbie
Happy 50th Lori! 2 months ago I joined this elite group of 50 and I have to say I am really enjoying it! At the time I turned fifty I also became an empty nester. I keep waiting for a total melt down or just pondering over the last 50 years but you know what I haven't done any of that. I have so much to look forward to in a different kind of way. Although I am a newbie to this age I feel the glass is half full and God willing you and I are going to love this next stage. We go back several decades and they have been memorable. I think the most important one was Tommy and I introducing you to his blonde haired cousin from Addison named Ted. Working sidewalk sales at Klines we then had to get ready for this blind/double date, still just recently giggled over that great night! The boys didn't have much to take us out on but we always had a ton of laughs! We are both getting ready to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary and I feel the 4 of us have been so blessed to have each other and the best is yet to come. So here's to the new 50 girl and just embrace the moments and cheers to us!! Love ya, Dawn Taylor
Happy 50th Birthday!!! You know it's the new 40. You look awesome! I wish you lots more love and happiness the next 50!! I love you, Traci Chandler | Happy Birthday from another 50ish Cuz.I will hang onto that as long as possible. Hope you have the best birthday ever. Lisa I have always thought you were a very pretty young lady and you don't look your age, so don't tell anyone how old you are, hehehehe and they will think you are 40.You have good genes like your mom, she still looks so young. Love you, Deborah Campbell
I remember when your mom and I worked at the Old North Building, we had lunch together because we were moving to our new Office. Well, we love Grasshopper, but grasshopper does not like 48 year old woman. I have to Laugh, no more when we got in to the car, we needed to hurry back. Yea, Fighting for the restroom, not good! Lori and I have had some Laughs, cries and some heart to heart conversation. Lori is a wonderful, giving person. (Don't let her know I said that) I know her and I will still be going through some crazy things in the years to come and I feel so fortunate to know she is on my side. Lori is all - A great Wife, Mother, Sister, daughter and coworker. Most of all My best friend!!! ~Dee Garcia~ | One of my favorite & funniest memories is when she had another monumental birthday while working @ Beecher in the mortgage dept. Some of us co-workers went out & purchased a fake lottery ticket to put inside her birthday card. The excitement on her face & in her voice while she was calling Ted to tell him she'd won $5000.00 was priceless! Of course the moment she realized it was a joke was almost as good. Since that point I have always been a little leery of any "gifts" she wants to give me. Happy 50th! I'll wait for you to catch up with me, Pat Filiere
Lisa, I can't believe it has been 50 years since you came into our lives. I want to tell you how much it has meant to me to have such a pretty young lady as my first and very special granddaughter. I have tried to think of some funny story, you getting into trouble at Moma and Popa's house, or at my house, and just can't come up with anything but good memories. It was such a gift to be a part of the five generation pictures, and lots of fun too. You always make us laugh. I love you. Grandma Gordon (or go-go-Gordon as my part of the GGW girls) :) | Lisa, I would like to tell you how happy I was to have met you and I was so glad that you accepted me into the family. I know that you have made your mother so very, very proud, being a good Christian girl and raising your children as you have. I hope you have 50 more happy birthdays! Rachel K.
Happy birthday Lisa! I can't believe you are 50! To me, you look just as beautiful as did 25 years ago! You know I know you and your family so much! I have always looked up to you. I miss our family holidays and get-togethers! Those were some of the best times in my life! I hope you a blessed birthday! You are absolutley gorgeous! I love you and miss you so much!! Happy 50!! ~Lisa Halcomb~ | Happy Birthday Lisa -- You make 50 look fabulous! I hope your special day is filled with all the things you love. I'm so glad God made you. Be blessed! Alicia Cochran
Dear Lisa, A very special Happy 50th Birthday wish to you and may you be blessed with many more happy and healthy ones. It seems like it was only yesterday when our families spent holidays, Sunday afternoons, and almost all the time together. We had so much fun playing Spoons and Uno, eating and just having a good time. So many good memories. You and your family are so special to us and you all seem like more like family than friends! We wish we could be with you on your special day. We miss you all so much. May God bless you!! Love you, Clint and Annette.
