About The Author | Tyler Ventolo was born on August 8th 1998 in Tenafly NJ. At age 3 he moved to Sparta NJ, where he still resides today. He is an only child, has a mom and dad, and a dog named Brownie. Tyler enjoys playing basketball ever since he was little, to this day. He also likes to travel, play soccer, video games, and swim. Tyler loves to spend time with his family and friends. He is a hard worker at sports, school, and everything he puts his mind to.

Being an Only Child (10 minute write) | Being an only child has the pros and cons. It can be fun but at times it can be lonely or boring. There are two sides of fighting this situation, and I am going to fight both. Being an only child can be great, you are the only child in the house so you get more. You get more because your "brothers" and "sisters" don't ask for more things. You also get more privileges. For Example, I got a phone by the age of ten, most of my friends got there phone's at either eleven or twelve. These are the good things about being an only child As an only child there are also cons about it. If none of your friends can hang with you, you don't have a brother or sister to hang with you. If you want something special for dinner but your parents say no, you can convince your siblings of having that for dinner and then majority rules from there. This is why being an only child can be bad. As fighting this both ways, I like being an only child because my parents pay more attention to me than if I had siblings. These are the pros and cons of being an only child.

Childhood Treasure | An important artifact that I treasured from my childhood was a blue teddy bear. I remember when I first got him. I was 3 years old and shopping at a store with my mom. I ran to catch up to her, tripped, and hit my head on the corner of a display case. I had a big gash, that looked like a mouth, on my forehead. Blood was dripping down my face and in front of my eyes. The store called the ambulance to take me to the hospital. I was very scared and afraid. I did not know what was going on and I was screaming. The ambulance people that took me to the hospital came back and gave me a blue teddy bear. After I received 7 stitches I was still upset but I felt that my teddy bear would protect me. I slept with him for the next few years. Today, this teddy bear is still with me but her is safe in my closet.

 Family Tree

"If I Were in Charge of the World" | If I were in charge of the world things would be different If I were in charge of the world I would start by having school all year long with two weeks breaks every season If I were in charge of the world I would make school days longer and have no homework If I were in charge of the world I would make state colleges free for people so more people can get a better education If I were in charge of the world I would want to make it a better place to live in

Where I Want to Go | I envision my future to be wonderful. I will live in a big house in California with my wife, 3 kids, and 4 dogs. I Will make my earnings by being a professional basketball player for the NBA. I will go to collage at UNC and do very well. I will get drafted to the L.A. Lakers and hopefully play with some of my many heroes. This is how I envision my future to be.
