1: Cardiovascular Training
2: This training works the heart and vascular system. It involves the larger muscles in order to make your heart and lungs more powerful. The purpose is to increase ones aerobic fitness.
3: Cardio is meant for people who want to lose weight because it burns a lot of calories.People who do cardio training are encouraged to train every day.
4: “Higher levels of cardiovascular fitness are associated with a 50% reduction in CVD risk in men". | "Statistics show that those who are moderately active have a 20% lower risk of stroke while those who are highly active have a 27% lower risk of stroke".
5: Cardiovascular training can reduce the risk of many life threatening diseases. Personal trainers are pressured to emphasize the importance of health and fitness and to motivate people to exercise. | "Physically active men and women have a 30%–40% reduction in relative risk for colon cancer compared with their inactive counterparts".
7: Resistance Training
8: Involves training with weights. A person does this to gain muscle mass.
9: The importance of resistance training is repetitions, sets, frequency, time, muscle balance, flexibility, and intensity.
10: This training requires working out three times a week.Resting your muscles is a big contributor in being successful in this training.
11: Resistance training is much more dangerous than cardiovascular. Trainers have to cautious of all the possible injuries.
13: Training An | Over Weight Client
14: A over weight person is defined when a person's BMI is 25.One is considered obese when their BMI is over 30kg.
15: In order for one to lose weight the person has to burn more calories than taken in. For a person to keep a steady weight they have to balance their energy level.
16: Injuries are much more common for an obese person. They have a higher chance of getting injured during a workout because they are not use to exercising. | Obese people also have a higher chance of getting serious diseases. Obese people who are fit have an extremely lower risk of death then those who are obese and not fit.
17: Before even starting a personal training workout a consultation has to happen. | This is especially important for obese clients because the personal trainer needs to know any medical/ physical conditions, amount of activity, and attitude towards exercising.

20: 1. Always give all your attention to your clients while you are training them. 2. Don't show up late. 3.Always track and write down the workouts. | 4. Keep your relationship with your client on a professional level. 5. Respect your client and their privacy.
21: 6. Never stop educating yourself. 7. Be a good role model for your clients. 8. Never lie to your client. | 9. Always have a smile on. 10. Repeat.
22: The Three Ways People Learn
23: Auditory- learns by listening. | - For an auditory learner the client can listen to the instructions being given and listen to the details being said.
24: Visual Learner- learns by seeing. | -For a visual learner the client needs to be able to watch the personal trainer in order to be able to understand the exercise.
25: Kinesthetic Learner-learns by experiencing and doing things. | -For a kinesthetic learner the client combines both the visual and auditory techniques. Kinesthetic are more of hands on method of learning.
26: Background of Personal Training.
27: -It was developed in the 1980a and from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). -The role of a personal trainer is motivate, set healthy lifestyle choices, be professional, and health and fitness tests.
