FC: Josef Mengele Angel of Death Hall of Shame By, Madeline Jones
1: In 1937, Josef joined the Natzi Party. In 1938, he received his medical degree and joined the SS. Just before he was sent to Auschwitz, he got put to a higher ranking in the SS.
2: During his 1-month stay at the camp, he would frequently show up at the gas chambers. He would search up and down the lines for twins usually. he would make the twins step forward and to come with him.
3: Mengele was very interested in twins. he would take twins during the night to operate on them. In this picture there are perfectly normal twins before Josef worked on them.
4: Mengele placed them on his polished table and put them to sleep. He then injected chloroform into their hearts, killing them instantly. He then began dissecting each piece of the twins' bodies.
5: Josef Mengele became a mad doctor because of all the power he had been given. No one asked questions upon him. They were too scared.
6: Mengele that said, "I personally have not killed, injured or aused bodily harm to anyone." He repeated this many times and told people he was doing injustice.
7: He liked working on twins because he often tired to change a brown eyed twin to a blue eyed one to match its brother or sister. He would use one as a control to compare and contrast them.
8: He would take both children into one room and made the other twin watch its family member get operated on. When Mengele operated he did not use an anesthetic.
9: Josef Mengele died at the age of 68. the "Angel of Death" was never punished for his disturbing actions.
