1: 1.) What caused the Great Depression? | When Woodrow Wilson took office, the democrats passed the Federal Reserve. The interest rate dropped dramatically which made people borrow more and more money, but in 1929 when the interest rate rose, therefore less loans were given and less money flowed through the economy.
2: 2.) How long did the Great Depression last? | The great depression started in 1929 and ended in 1941, therefore it lasted for 12 years.
3: 3.) What was life like during the Great Depression? | Life during the Great Depression was tragic to say the least. People were hungry and jobless, which is never a good combination.
4: 4.) Who was affected by the Great Depression? | Although everyone was not affected by the Great Depression, too many people were. 60% or more suffered some kind of loss, and it's safe to say the middle class suffered the most.
5: 5.) How did the Great Depression End? | World War 2 started, which then provided jobs and a boost to the economy.
