1: The First Day in Roma! We are enjoying the amazing apartment!
2: Day One
3: Our First stop in our Roman adventure was the National Museum only blocks from the apartment.
4: St Maggiore, this was down the street and served as our compass for the trip. We loved the beautiful fountains and sculpture all around the city.

6: The Roman forum. It was amazing to walk down the paths and see where the chariots had gone before.
9: The views from the top were incredible!
10: This is an arch Shawn fell in love with.
12: You can almost feel the ancient Romans hanging out and enjoying life!
15: The seat of the Western world very literally. | The view of the Colosseum from the top of the hill.
16: Some of the many picutres ot the beautiful Colosseo! It was amazing to walk through such an old structure.
18: The Arch of Constantien it was outside the Colosseo and also very impressive
20: Castel Sant'Angelo was a welcome site after our very long walk across the city. Only to find out the Vatican Museum was still a long walk ahead.
21: Our first view of Saint Peter's still one of the most beautiful sites ever.
27: The Sistine Chapel is quite unassuming from the outisde. | TheRaphael Rooms were truly amazing.
28: The most peacful place you can experience. The quite grandness of St. Peter's at night.
29: The Spanish Steps | The incredible Galleria Borghese. Its a tie with the Vatican for the best musem in Rome.
31: Due to the late hour we arrived at St Peter's the evening before we came back the next day to experience the inside. The scale and beauty was beyound anything we could have imagined .

34: The night walk through the oldest part of the city was our favorite part of the day. It winds from the Campo de Fiori, to the Piazza Navona, past the Pantheon, stopping by the Trevi Fountain and ending at the Spanish Steps. | This is a pretty fountain by the house that was on the way to the bus stop by the house.

36: Brenini's Four Rivers Fountain in the Piazza Navona one of the most beautiful pieces of sculpture ever.
37: The Pantheon | Even winding down the streets from piazza to piazza is magical.
38: The Trevi Fountain is most beautiful at night. We went to go see it during the day as well but the night is when it makes you think if you throw in a penny you must return to Rome.
40: This was a little town that we heard of in passing and it was gorgeous! We had a wonderful lunch on the beach, a lovely walk around town and finished with some of the best gelato we have ever had! | Sperlonga
43: Everywhere we looked was another post card view.
45: Some of the best memories of this lovely village were the cab rides to and from town.
47: Shawn took many beautiful pictures on the train ride home.
50: Everywhere we turned we saw the most amazing art from Caravaggio to Bernini.
52: Market day in Campo di Fiori, this was not the only market we went to but it was definitely the prettiest!
55: We made a wonderful dinner that night, from the amazing things that we bought that day.
56: The Piazza del Popolo was so beautiful and full of beautiful surprises. Around one of the corners we found an exhibit of Da Vinci's work.
58: There was a wonderful view of Rome from the Medici Palace.
59: Having a great time in Villa Borghese Park! Beautiful art and amazing gardens!
60: We decided to take the subway out to the aqueducts. We found the directions on the Internet and thought we would try them out. It was a great day and a wonderful adventure. | Aqueduct Park
