2: marriage with Julius Caesar | Cleopatra met Julius Caesar when Julius was 54 and Cleopatra was 21. they had met when the queen was wrapped inside a rug that was delivered to Julius. Cleopatra is remembered by this because no one has ever done this before and it was very unique. once he unwrapped the rug, they soon fell in love with each other. Caesar saw his marriage to Cleopatra might unite Rome with Egypt. Cleopatra married Julius Caesar under Egyptian law, but he already had a wife in Rome, and Cleo wasn't a roman citizen so the marriage was not legal in Rome. Cleopatra and Julius had one kid together named caesarion. caesarion got killed at the age of 17 by octavianus, Julius's adopted son. Caesar ended up getting stabbed to death.

4: affair with mark Antony | Cleopatra was summoned by mark Antony to the headquarters at Anatolia because there were rumors that she had helped Cassius, one of the assassins of Caesar. Antony however found that both of them were loyal to Caesar. they both had met during the earlier reign of Caesar. when Cleopatra crossed the Mediterranean to see him, they both fell in love. they were just friends at that time however. Later, he accepted her invitation to visit Egypt. the relationship kept growing between both of these powerful people . the romans were wary of the emergence of the Egyptians as a powerful force. they also did not appreciate their love affair, but despite all of the threats Cleopatra and Antony married at Anatolia, Syria where he first summoned her in 36 B.c.

6: Cleopatra ruling as queen | Cleopatra came to power in Egypt at the age of 17. she came to the throne after death of her two elder sisters and after the death of her father whom was much hated by the Egyptians had fled to Rome several years before. she reigned from 51-30 b.c. with her younger brother Ptolemy XIII. as a Ptolemy, Cleopatra was Macedonian, but even though her ancestry was Macedonian, she was still an Egyptian queen and worshiped as a god. she was renowned for her political dealings with ancient Rome. Cleopatra had been the only Ptolemic pharaoh to speak the Egyptian language. she also took on the Egyptian language. she has been the most intelligent queen Egypt has ever had.

8: Cleopatra's death | Cleopatra has died in 30 B.C. she was only 39 years old when she committed suicide. there had been many disasters happening at the battlefield that Cleopatra knew she could not control and she knew that all was lost. so, she went into her tomb along with her two handmaidens and a basket of figs which contained two wasps. the wasps had bit her in the shoulder and she slowly died in a painful death. her death is very wide known and it is such a big deal because when she died Egypt became a roman province. Cleopatra is considered the last person to rule Egypt as an Egyptian pharaoh.
