5: Look in the backyard! The whole family is here.
6: I photographed this Egret by the pond just down the street from the house. | We waited for the geese to cross the road to go from one pond to another. It's amazing to see how the mama and the daddy get the babies in a line while the mother is at one end of the line and the daddy at the other.
7: For about five years, these two mallards have been coming to visit. They arrive in early spring and stay until fall. They initially came to the bird feeder but now they make the whole yard their home. | After having food in the back yard, they waddle to the front for a swim in our little pond. After a swim, they sun on the edge of the pond. We named these beautiful mallards Jeremy and Jemimah and look forward to their visit each spring.
9: Our backyard is like a wildlife sanctuary. We have many frequent visitors which include deer, many species of birds, the mallards, raccoons, and squirrels. One summer we watched this beautiful spider and others like it, spin webs from our house to our neighbor Jim's house.
