FC: The Last Ten Years
2001 | First home 206 N. Anderson St. I moved in first with Jen Rydman in the summer of 2000. You joined me when we got back from our honeymoon. I was so excited to live with you...finally! | Trip to Tahiti Our first trip overseas, what a blast! Daily itinerary: wake up and eat chocolate with our coffee, lay in the sun and swim, hut time, more swimming, hamburger lunch, more hut time, dinner with entertainment and then...more hut time. Like I said, what a blast! | Christmas Our second Christmas in our home. We were so excited to get our first Christmas tree together. | Deb goes to school You drove me my first day and I remember being so thankful that you supported me and my going to school there. I didn't enjoy many of those days of learning but am so grateful that I did go and could not have gotten through without the love and support of my best friend. | First anniversary Our first time back to Pine River Ranch...delicious!
Peanut We got her for your 27th birthday in September..."the best dog ever" and the only one who hates babies to the core. | Its hard to remember this far back but it looks like we started the year with a trip to SanFrancisco to visit Grandpa Delore, other highlights include getting our precious Peanut for your birthday, buying our first home and of course our most exciting trip to Italy. What a blast! We understood early that we were blessed to have each other and to make the memories we were making. | 2002 | 108 S Sampson St.
Italy I wiill never forget being at El Caporal and you saying "just think this time next week we will be in Italy..." BIGGEST surprise of my life! This kicked off my love of traveling with you.
The Lampley family found out they had another member, we visited your grandpa again and attended your aunts wedding. We started our first major remodel, our garage. You surprised me but couldn't quite finish your "While You Were Out" attempt. I lost my two sharp teeth and started my long road to nicer ones. Our Trip to Port St. Joe Lots of sun, beaches, crab and loud noises in the night...from the air conditioner. | 2003
2004 | Hmmm...2004. We were both working and staying busy with that. Our precious Peanut was forced to be impregnated by Chandler, she was glad for it in the end because Cricket became her best friend. We worked our jobs, helped with youth group and I got a postion at Carenet as the program director of Achieve. Toward the end of the year we started thinking about moving to a bigger place, we looked into a few houses and then looked at lots to build on. Building a house was a good growing experience for us, I will never forget the argument we had about the master bathtub...I wanted a clawfoot tub! Glad we worked out our style differences, made the next five years doable.
2005 | To sum up 2005: building a house, trip to New Orleans and the Caribbean, moving into our finished house, appendicitis and emergency surgery, trip to Europe, settle in house and get pregnant with our Jack, I leave you to see New York City. What an eventful year and what a blast. Our fifth year married was awesome but I look back now and think the best was yet to come. | 1810 E. 14th St.
I think this was my favorite trip. We froze in England and got lost, made friends in Scotland and saw psychics, laid on the beach in Spain, showed everyone around Italy, rode bikes in Germany and finished there with "the romantic road." You carried my pack and yours most the trip and I loved you for it.
2006 | It appears we didn't take any pictures in 2006 until we were pregnant with Jack. Even then we only took pictures of him. I think we stayed home that year a lot and prepared our house, our minds and our hearts for our boy.
Jack Monroe | "...boy parts!!!" This kid is full of energy, smarts, sport and sweetness. We were so blessed with our boy Jack, he has brought us more joy then we ever imagined we could experience. | July 18 2006 10:34pm 8lbs, 7oz, 19"
January 2007 we bought our final (hopefully) home. 1107 E. Franklin St The first day we got the key you started ripping it apart. You worked all year tearing out the upstairs and remodeling the basement so we could move in. Little did we know Franklin would turn out to be a five year project. The same year we went to Mexico to see Dara's wedding and also had the dream trip of a lifetime, cruising the Mediterranean with your family. That would have been plenty for the year but in September we got pregnant with our precious Jules. | 2007
 Mexico | Greece | Rome | Rhodes
2008 | Mexico | Disney Land | Halloween | Hawaii | Friends | A big year for us. We went back to Mexico to celebrate Dara's Anniversary, did Disneyland with your parents, took out a major load-bearing wall in our living room (good call you) and then had our baby girl. Toward the end of the year we got our first round of flooring in upstairs, and put in our cabinets...which all ended up coming out and going back in at a later date. A little stressful but still a great year. Ended the year with a fabulous trip to Hawaii!
Julia Afton | Although she was a difficult newborn Jules turn into sugar and spice, and everything nice. She is kind, sweet, adventurous and adorable. We could not feel more blessed then we do to be her parents. | July 10th 2006 5:46am 6lbs 9oz, 19" | ". . . hi Jules!!!"
2009 was a busy year. In March you had to leave us for two weeks, in May we picked out our new floors and took out the giant bay window. That summer: new floors in, sheetrock, birthdays, counter tops, Disneyland, dishwasher and cook-top. We left again in October for NY...that city is way more fun when you are there. | 2009
 October | December | July | September | August | October | May | May
2010 | 2010: Alente began and that was great but tough, kids got older and even more awesome, house was at a stand still for most the year, game night started, we went to Washington DC, Jack started school, Ang moved back. The year was busy but awesome, we are ending it with the "final" touches on our home and we couldn't feel more blessed.
The last ten years have been amazing. Looking back it was fun, hard, crazy, beautiful, exciting, exhausting, hilarious, stressful and wonderful. In the words of our son, "You are my best" Jon and I love you completely. Happy Anniversary!
