My House My house. A big red and green building on a busy street. I can smell my moms cooking as soon as i walk in the door. Its loud and I can hear the neighbors around me, watching TV or loudly talking. As it gets dark out it gets quieter. All i can hear are the cars driving by. I like my house. Its small and cozy. As I wake up the day repeats. I hear the kids outside and the neighbors talking. I walk out and look down from the second floor. Its cozy, warm, and makes me comfortable and glad to be in it. | 2

Pointless Arguments... In sixth grade I got into a argument with my best friend. A pointless argument that separated me from her for a year. Rumors spread and people changed. We spent more time arguing about it then trying to sort it out. For one year we thought badly of each other. Today we are close even though we don't see each other much. We forgot about our bad past and are thankful for each other. I now know what I missed out on for a year. I love my best friend. | 3

Mind of a Child I have a couple of family members who act like children. My favorite one of them is the aunt I grew up around. My aunt Liliana. She has two children. Matthew is five and Victoria is three. I think my aunt gets her childish ways from her six brothers and her kids. She is never boring and is fun to be around. Hands down my aunt Liliana is my favorite aunt and is like a child. I have had many fun times with her in which became great memories. | 4

No Speak English Throughout my life, I have met many people who don't speak english. In fourth grade there was a Mexican boy in my class. He struggled a lot.He was an outsider and couldn't talk to anyone or make any friends. Throughout 4th grade i slowly started talking to him and he started to learn english. He made new friends and was social. He went from not knowing anyone and not being able to talk to being one of the friendliest and funniest kid in the class. Not only did we teach him new stuff but he also taught us. | 5

A House of My Own Sandra Cisneros was like any other girl. She wanted a house of her own , a place to call hers and that she can do as she pleases. She grew up in a house she didn't like much. Throughout her life living there she learned a lot about the people around her, her cultures and life styles. She didn't like it much but to her it was interesting. Like a child, Sandra wants a pace to call home. Where she enjoys to live and forget her past. | 6
