S: January - August 2011

FC: one great year!! | 2011 | January - August

1: We started the year off with our 3rd annual Valentine's Day Fondue Party! | February 2011

2: Love is in the air!!

3: We played a game, in between courses...lots of fun!!

4: See what a little wine does...

5: Give Kevin a little wine...and he gets an attitude

6: Braden had a great time on his first snowmobiling trip.....and making snow angels with Grandma!!! | Darien was an animal on the machines!! He had a blast!!

7: March 2011 | Instead of a lot gifts for Christmas...mom & dad took us all to Laramie, WY for a snowmobiling trip!! What a great time!! Who needs more 'stuff' when we can spend time with each other making some great memories!!

8: is in the air... | March 30-April 3 In April we trailered the chopper to Phoenix for Arizona Bike Week...Morgan was for her Spring Break...it was fun to hang out with everyone!

9: The more you laugh the longer you live | We celebrated Grandma's 95th Birthday | It's your birthday!! | I made her a bracelet with the initials of her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren

10: ...an amazing adventure for Dan!! | First in his class...voted by the public & Best of Show voted for by the Editor of American Cycle magazine | ARIZONA BIKE WEEK

11: This was the centerfold of the American Cycle magazine Aug/Sept 2011. There was a nice article as well. | With the Best in Show award...Dan also won a photo shoot to be featured in American Cycle magazine! He's wanted to have the chopper in a publication! | Pride and Joy!!!

12: The trip home wasn't so fun...we ended up leaving late morning on Sunday because of the photo shoot...everything was good until we hit Raton Pass...and that's when the blizzard started!! It took hours to drive just a short distance...once we finally made it to Pueblo, the snow stopped! The amount of snow on the tongue of the trailer was amazing!! Then, just as we thought we were out of it...the storm started up again as we went through Colorado Springs!! That was one long night!!! Home around 4am...crazy!! | One long day!!!

13: Napa, Sonoma, Wine & Friends... What more could you ask for? | April 14-17, 2011 | In April we all made a trip to CA for a little fun in wine country! We rented a huge house big enough for all of us. We had a great time visiting wineries in both Napa and Sonoma!! Can't wait to go back!

14: May 2011 | Dan entered the chopper in another show...this one is held every year in memory of Uncle Ron's girlfriend's late husband. | Rich Barton Memorial Car Show

15: M o r g a n 's G r a d u a t i o n | Proud Mom...she only shed a few tears!! | So proud of you Morgan!!! | Mary, Jamie & Avers joined us for lunch afterwards!! | I made Morgan a "Welcome to the real world" basket...directions and materials for "How to boil water", "How to do your own laundry" & "How to clean"!!

16: Happy 40th Birthday Dan | In June Dan turned the big 4-0!! I was finally able to have the surprise party for him that I've had planned for years!! Surprising him with a new bike...icing on the cake!!

18: Lasting Memories... | Girls Weekend in Steamboat, CO We had such a good time!! June 10-12 | A weekend of a little girl talk, time at the spa for a massage, spent an afternoon at the Farmer's Market and shopping around town and then to Rios for margaritas!! Good times!!

19: A couple drinks and she thinks she's a big shot!! | We made a last minute trip to make a few purchases! | A little roady to start the night off!! | First night, drinks and dinner!

20: Dan and I took the kids to Devils Tower...great time!!!

22: Spending the Fourth of July at Mount Rushmore was very patriotic!! We really enjoyed it!! They had a military band playing through the night and they inducted several new kids into all the different branches of the military! Being at Mount Rushmore after dark was something neither of us had seen before...really neat!! | We went for a late dinner...and even had s'mores for dessert!!

23: We found a spot in a campground to pitch the tent. The next morning we were up bright and early, packed the car up and were on our way...first stop...all you can eat pancakes at a large RV Park! Then we were off to Crazy Horse!! We took a bus ride up closer to the base of the statue. It was pretty impressive to see!! | CRAZY HORSE

25: We made a special trip to the Flintstones Village...we were the only adults in the park without kids!! Dan wanted to reenact the picture of he and his sister when they were younger...we were pretty disappointed when the same Pluto wasn't in the park anymore!! So we did the best we could!

26: It wouldn't be a good trip to the Black Hills if you didn't get to see the buffalo and wild donkeys!!

27: On our road trip we came upon a guy who had ridden his motorcycle right off the side of the road. Lucky for him, he didn't roll the bike or cause any damage...and the only thing he hurt...was his pride!!

28: We drove the whole loop through the Black Hills!! (the road in red) So much to see!!

29: The drive through Needles Hwy was really something to see!! This bus was a tight fit through the one car canyon!!! Whoa!!!

31: I was able to watch Sophie's dance recital this year...she was a caterpillar in the performance of Alice in Wonderland...super cute!! Then we went to dinner to have a little girl time...Sophie opened her birthday present...matching quilts I made for her doll's bunkbeds. | Proud of my garden this year!! It's really starting to take off...and healing after last years hails storm!!

34: This summer we finally purchased our first pop-up camper!! 2001 Coleman Bayside! We were pretty excited...and we got it just in time for our annual camping trip with the Schwartz's and Lepke's!! | 3rd Annual Camping Trip Taylor Park July 29 - August 2 | Every year we find a camping spot that we love, every year we say its the best spot...this one might be hard to beat!!

35: The boys of course went on a ride the first morning we were there! | After a long day on the trail...the boys were ready to hang out and relax!!

37: We finally got to go fly fishing...we didn't catch a thing, not even a bit!! But we were able to practice our casting...at least it wasn't a total waste of a trip!!

38: Dan helped Kyle and Justin with a hunting trip...the boys were determined to kill a moose.! They even set up a trap and used a chip bag as bait.! Can't believe it didn't work.!! | The boys were really into their weapons all week....Kyle whittled on this stick the whole time. | Perhaps someone needs to tell Justin this is not a belt.!

39: Dan and I stayed with the kiddos while the parents went for a ride.! | The kids helped with dinner and with getting firewood ready for the night.!!

40: Everyone pitches in to make the meals!! | We certainly eat well when we're camping, maybe even better than at home!!

41: cleaning up!!! | Every night, while sitting by the fire, we'd shine the flashlight into the woods around the camp.......several nights this little deer would be hanging out.....pretty sure he wanted a s'more!!! | hanging out!!! | good times!!!

42: Once the sun goes down, we all sit around the campfire, eat a yummy desert and/or s'mores, and enjoy the peaceful night!

43: One night after the kids went to bed, the adults danced in the moonlight! It was a great night!!!

44: Just goes to show...doesn't matter how old they are...boys will be boys!! | One afternoon Dan & Kevin went for a ride, Trudy and the girls went for a hike, the younger boys were either riding their bikes or on a big hunt....Nickie, Todd & I stayed at the camp and RELAXED!! Finally got to do what I had been wanting to...sit on the top of the hill, enjoy the view and read magazines! It was so nice!! So peaceful!!

46: AUGUST | One afternoon Gretch and the kids came out...we took advantage of the field of sunflowers...for a little photo session!! | Mom came down to see Kay who was in town to see her new grandbaby!! It was a fun afternoon of wine and shopping!!

47: American Cycle Magazine Aug/Sept 2011 Finally, the chopper is a centerfold in its largest publication yet. So excited for Dan!!

48: In August, we went on our first camping trip, just the 2 of us in our new camper! We enjoyed a weekend near Mt. Princeton & St. Elmo. This is one of Dan's favorite areas to ride! St. Elmo is an old mining town. They are trying to reclaim several of the buildings!

49: After we took a drive to St. Elmo we drove through the campground at Iron City, Dan cooled off, then we went through the cabins on the creek. What a charming area!
