FC: The Student Who Was Asked to Create an Online Storybook
One fine beautiful morning the students in Mr. Gedeborg's College Prep Computer class were all gathered discussing the events of the previous evening. | When suddenly a new project was thrown upon them. They all watched with intent, and interest, (and a little bit of awe at Mr. Gedeborg's awesomeness) as he discussed the topic for them to perform: A online storybook. But not just any book, as this special document would contain the thoughts and ideas that would be put together in the unit dealing with Alice.org.
The students sat there puzzling and puzzling til their puzzlers were sore - how could it be so? | What should their stories contain? Would they be mysteries, horrors or adventures - would it bring them fame or be rather lame?
One such student in particular, Billy-Bob, sat thinking and thinking, then realized that the story/game should follow requirements set by Alice.org.
Alice.org is rather complicated, it can be rather hard. So Billy-Bob discovered that his story should be short and sweet. A quick little treat. Long stories/games can take too much time on a platform like Alice.org, so Billy-Bob did a comic like book like you see in the Sunday paper.
He quickly realized that since he was in school the story/game should be clean, appropriate and nice. No violence, language, or explicit items would be excepted by a teacher looking for PG quality material.
There were a lot of online book sites to choose from, Billy-Bob could create his work in any variety of them. | Mixbook Bookrix Panraven Bookbuilder My Publisher Tabblo Smilebooks Blurb LuLu Snapfish and more . . .
With his outline selected, and a book software chosen, Billy-Bob was ready to let his creative juices create a masterpiece of art and literature that would last through the ages.
When Billy-Bob and the rest of the students turn in their assignments, they were so great they got A's all around. The teacher was pleased with their work, and they all lived happily ever after.
Now they were ready to begin their Alice.org projects with the outlines and story boards all set-up.
