FC: Jeremy Davis & Chelsea Keenen 2010

"Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6

Our first month together was also the last month of summer. we were trying to soak up every moment of life without school, knowing our time together would only become less and less frequent once school started. We saw each other EVERY single day, enjoyed late summer night talks, and simply couldn't get enough of each other. Jeremy planned our first date all by himself and he wanted every minute of it to be a surprise! He was supposed to pick me up at 6:30, and when 6:40 rolled around my dad and sister were getting a kick out of trying to convince me I was getting stood up - anyone who knows Jeremy knows he is NEVER late. He finally showed up at 6:47, flowers in hand - anyone who knows me knows i HATE flowers. He told me every girl had to get flowers at least once. After a few pictures, we were on our way He had a season of 24 hidden in the glovebox that I found on the way to the restaurant. We ate at Charelstons for dinner, we went and walked around the mall for a little bit, and then drove back to my house to tell my parents all about it.! It was a wonderful first date. This month was simply filled with getting to know each other and spending every possible moment together.

 Summer fun!! | Summer fun!!

We made it one month and celebrated with dinner at Ted's after church! 08-25-10

We both started school at Oklahoma City Community College during our second month together. This was a new season for our relationship and a new opportunity to see each other in a different environment, under different circumstances. Our schedules worked out where Jeremy picked me up for class every morning and then we ate lunch together everyday. This time together was something very special, something i will treasure forever! Most of our nights were filled with homework and studying, but we did find some time for fun things! We also started babysitting a lot together, this was the first time I saw Jeremy be so great with kids! (I'll let you in on a little secret. he likes kids a whole lot more than he will ever admit!) We also celebrated Taylor and Jennifer's engagement during this month. This was a fun time for my family and I was so excited to have someone to share it with. I have always wanted to go on a date at the State Fair of Oklahoma, and this year that dream came true! We had lots of fun experiencing all of these new things together! By this point I was already completely enthralled with him, and many people were beginning to notice that I planned on him sticking around for awhile!

 Congrats Taylor & Jennifer!

Babysitting Gabriel and Naomi was something we loved to do and did quite often!

We made it to our second month! We celebrated with lunch at Chilis, and babysitting Carson and Aden! 09/25/10

During our third month, Jeremy started work at Marble Slab Creamery, and I worked at Westmore Child Development Center. He worked Monday thru Friday 2-4 and I work Monday thru Friday 3-6 so our schedules still stayed pretty close to the same. This month Jeremy joined Graceway, which was a big step for our relationship. It was something that brought us so much closer as we sat under the same teaching and experienced spiritual growth for the first time together. It was during this month that some missionaries came to our church, and through their testimony Jeremy surrendered himself once again to the pastoral ministry. The very same night, I felt a strong calling on my life to work in ministry in some way involving missions. Through these turn of events, God made it very clear that he was beginning to write a story for our lives that we could have never planned ourselves. I told my mom one night through joyous tears that I knew Jeremy was the man I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with, and she whole-heartedly agreed! By the end of the month, Jeremy and I were comfortably talking about a life-long commitment to each other. It was also during this month that Jeremy took me to his hometown of Lubbock, Tx! We went to the OSU/Tech football game, and had a blast!! This was a big month for us, and we loved all the changes taking place!

c | We celebrated our third "monthiversary" at a revival with Bro. Ron Carlson! Another month under our belts!! 10/25/10

Look what I found this month... :)

Our fourth month was incredible! This month we celebrated our first Holiday together: Thanksgiving! We officially kicked off the Holiday season with a super fun costume party at Kyle and Esther’s house! We went as Napoleon Dynamite and Deb. It was so fun just to be silly together! Since I had already picked out my engagement ring, we were constantly talking about when he was going to propose! I was always trying to guess all the different times and places he might try to pop the question. I had mentioned that a Christmas proposal would be so awesome, and he did his best to try and wait until December. But Jeremy hates having to wait to do anything... He is one spontaneous man! He is also terrible at keeping things a secret from me. After two different times of planning a Christmas proposal and spilling the beans, he decided he was going to surprise everyone and ask early!. On November 27, Jeremy picked me up for a quick dinner at Chilis, but we never even made it to the car before he was down on one knee. I made the best decision of my life by saying "yes" to the best man I know! Little did we know just how busy life was fixing to become...

 Happy 4 months! | 11/25/10

Our fifth month was loaded with finals, birthdays, church musicals, and Christmas! We loved going to look at Christmas lights, Christmas shopping, and watching Christmas movies... December is one of our favorite months!! This year for Jeremy's birthday, I took him to see Trans Siberian Orchestra in Tulsa. We had dinner at the cheesecake factory before the concert. It was so much fun! For our Christmas date, we went to dinner at Zio's and then went to look at lights downtown. Jeremy sent me on a scavenger hunt through my house to find all of my presents, one of which was an ESV Bible with my future name on it: Chelsea Davis. It was such a wonderful month.

All I want for Christmas is you! | C
