Nothing Like Home With so many cultures alive and here It's important to keep an open mind Many want to share, so lend an ear Embrace new ideas, music, and food How could it hurt to try something new You never know, it can change your mood Travel and sightseeing are important and swell The new sights can change your life But don't forget the diversity at home as well

Cultures Collide When worlds collide over oceans deep Cultures explode and into they seep Come learn new thoughts Have nothing left to keep

Pictures of You Pictures of the past Similes frozen behind glass Captured and silence last Enclosed in silver glass Crystals shine in looking light Smooth and rough combine alas! History shows in black and white A glance, a minute, eternity, today Remembrance proves its mighty bite

Friendship's Voice There are those certain voices, That are music to the ear. Such a verbal warm embrace, The heart has longed to hear. With every word that's spoken, Their face comes to mind. The voice my soul rejoices, The face I look to find.

Gun Shots Bagpipes play the sorrowful tune As six soldiers carry the flag covered tomb A procession of black and mourning folks Tears streaming down faces, hands stroked The pastor stands up and says a few words Three shots are fired which scare the birds The flag taken and folded with care Then sadfully handed to family who sit there Flowers are placed and all walk away Except for the soldier buried that day

Coming Home Butterflies turning stomachs upside down Smiles galore, not a single frown Children waving yellow flags high Happy voices lift toward the sky Buses turn the corner, off they go Stand in formation till the whistle blows Embraces and laughter heard through the crowd Families show soldiers, they are so proud

The Energy Like no place on Earth Everything burns, like in a hearth Sparks fly, illuminate bright People dancing through the night The energy of cities, dull compare To the energy people here share Life never stops, nor takes a break In the race that's life.

No Quiet Ever Stop. Can't breathe With all these people around me Lights never diminished, always bright Stars hard to see, even at a height Gray and black cement is all I see Green, blue that is what should be Streets, buildings, a complicated maze Shops, vendors, selling the newest craze Roaming the beach, feet in the sand A quiet place, to sit or stand A deep breathe and close my eyes Crashing waves, seagulls in the skies.

Always Together My love for you is like a number line Through the positives and negatives We shall always be together My hope for you is like a rainbow Beauty and light through the darkest of times With a surprise at the end My trust in you is like a Willow Large and growing, strong and sturdy Never looking back

Now and Forever You are always on my mind I have never met anybody of your kind You are my eternal sunshine I hope you'll forever be mine With our love combined, everything is in reach Together we can stand any siege The moment I saw you my heart was sold I dream that together we will grow old
