16: First Haircut | Jacob, you had your first haircut when you were almost two. We still haven't quite figured out how you felt about it. Were you scared? Resigned? Annoyed? You had your thumb firmly planted in your mouth throughout the whole experience.

17: We know who took those cookies | Jacob, you were a pretty well-behaved toddler. It seemed that the biggest issues we had with you involved food! Either you would refuse what we wanted you to eat (veggies, fruit and other good stuff) or you would go nutty for stuff that really wasn't so good for you. Here, you had helped yourself to a few freshly baked cookies. While you showed great skill in sneakily getting ahold of them, you neglected to wipe the evidence off of your smug little face!

38: Dad found a wounded bird in the backyard. He brought it indoors to show you and Malia. Jacob, you gently cradled the little bird, bending down to show Malia.

39: To whom it may concern. This morning I had a nasty surprise. When I put my foot in my boot, I there was a frog in there. I'm very mad at the frog for scaring me. I tried to get rid of the frog by scooping a pile of leaves over it. If you find this frog, please take it far away from here. I don't like it! Sincerely, Jake | Just say NO to frogs.
