12: Jo, Happy 18th Birthday lil bro! Man does time fly I cant believe you're 18 already it feels just like yesterday I was celebrating my 18th birthday we were all out at Aaron's house I know you remember that ha ha. I just wanted to tell you that you're the best brother that I could have ever asked for I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Just thinking back of us growing up together it was a blast especially when we lived over there on Shop Springs. The nights where we would stay outside playing basketball and we would get so mad when one of us would win, and all the wrecks we had on that dirt bike man that was crazy. I would get so mad when we would be playing play station and you would beat me and make fun of me for losing. We got into so many fights about that. I could sit here and go on and on telling stories about us growing up together but you know all of them, you were there. We wont always be living together but we will still grow up together and have a lot more stories to tell as life goes on and we get older. I hope I'm the big brother that you're happy with.

13: I always wanted to lead by example and be someone you always looked up to growing up and even now today. We have had our battles in the past and disagreements but what what brothers don't! After it was all said and done we still loved each other. People make mistakes and learn from them it's a part of life. Just never ever be a follower, always be a leader nobody can ever make you do anything, you know what's right and whats wrong. You know whats good for you and what isn't. I'm not going to sit here and preach to you though you're old enough to know all of this. You have a good head on your shoulders and coming from from me I'm proud of you! I will always be here for you no matter what you can always call me I will be here through thick and thin and if you ever need advice or someone to talk to I'm here for that as well. I'm your big brother and always will be I don't care if you are taller than me and you're 18 or 50 years old I will always be your big brother. Happy Birthday! Love your brother,, Ben Ben

14: Romans 15:13- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

18: Kelly Faye

19: Josiah, My it is amazing how fast eighteen years can fly by. Although, there is eight years between us we have always been close. I will never forget how much you loved me when you were little; you would hug me and tell me that you love me everyday. You also always loved the fact that we looked so much alike ( I mean who couldn't love that fact) lol, but who knew that look was a permanent one. Jojo and Benny: you two would do anything for me. I know you probably don't remember all the wonderful things I do of you being small and precious , but you are one of the best little brothers a girl could ask for. You have accomplished so much and have so many goals I know you will achieve in you life. I just want to wish you the Happiest 18th Birthday in the world with at least 80 more to follow. I love you so much, and want you to know I will always be your proud sister. Love always, Kelly Faye

24: Josiah, Happy 18th Birthday!!!!!! I remember when you were born, I was only 13 but a very proud Big Sister. As you grew you were one tough lil man and boy did you like to aggravate and be sneaky. I remember watching you and Ben run around the living room acting like yall were pro baseball players, Sand Lot was the movie we watched 5 times a day 7 days a week. LOL. Mom did very well with us as a family, we are still close and love each other. When we talk on the phone before we hang up we always say I Love You. Kiaya is lucky to have you as a God Father she loves to see you in church so she can run back there and you can hold her. One day when you have kids of your own you will be a Great Daddy.

25: You have a wonderful big smile. I loved going on vacation with just us kids oh the hotel experience was so much fun and the plane ride with Jessica. I have enjoyed watching you grow and play football and basketball . I have tried to come to as many games as I possibly can. Our family is tight and I pray that it will continue to stay that way. We are very blessed. You are a very intelligent and handsome young man, and I am still very proud of you 18 years later. May God Bless you and Keep you and stay with you through that you do. I love you, Your Big Sister, Jamie

30: Well Jo I can't believe you are already 18, what I really mean is I can't believe I'm already 29, lol. I am so grateful that mom and dad chose aunt Denise and uncle Terry to be my god parents they are not my blood parents but they are more than just an aunt and uncle and you, Ben, Jamie, and Kelly are more than just my cousins you all are really like my brothers and sisters. You all have always treated me like one of y'all in the good times and bad, and for that I am truly grateful. I love you all so much. I have so many memories of us growing up. One memory inparticular comes to mind, yeap I'm sure you are thinking of it too, lol. I don't really recall how old you were maybe 2, but it was your birthday and we were all going to sing to you and when you seen my big head of hair oh how you screamed. You were so scared well I don't blame you I might have been scared myself. If you only knew then how close we would be now. I remember all the wrestling matches you and Ben would have and how you would get red faced like you were about to explode, now when I see Brayden and Dylan and they do that its like it was yesterday it was you and Ben. I have enjoyed supporting you through your years of high school and will continue to support you. You have really grown up to be a wonderful young man. You are an awesome rolemodel and my kids love you as much as I do. They can't wait to get in a high school and be as good as their cousin Jo. I am so proud of you. Happy Birthday Jo I love you. Love Always Your Sis, Jess

31: Josiah, You are one of a kind. When you were little you were kind of in your own shell, but you broke out and became an awesome brother. Keep it up little brother and just know that life will throw a lot at you but you can take it, and overcome all of life's challenges. I'm so proud to be your brother. Love, Terry Jr.

36: My Dear Josiah, It is hard to believe your 18th birthday is here. The years pass by so fast. I thank God for His blessings on our family. I thank Him for all the memories. You know you're the baby, the youngest always seems to get more because the money is a little more abundant. You were named after a King and when you were young you thought you were that king. Now, you act like royalty... just kidding. King Josiah came from the tribe of Benjamin. When I was 5 months pregnant with Ben your name was given to God for my other son to come. your angel Sarah he chose to come home because like you've said before, if she was born you might not have been. The most exciting ultrasound was yours. Jamie, Kelly, and I could see your whole hand pushing back. I remember how excited I was just knowing you were a boy and saying to God, well you know his name and your plans for him. Then on Sunday evening November 27th I was in labor laying in bed and my water broke, that was the first time I experienced that feeling, it never happened with the other 3. So off we went to the hospital. I always thanked God for the two nurses that delivered you. A young women and a young man prepped me at 8:00 and they delivered you at 8:31. I remember the nurse looking at the clock and saying well just say 8:30 but, I knew God was showing me his revelation. He is in control and He has a master plan. He was showing me the clock at 8:31 to let me know what he revealed 3 years earlier. It was an enjoyable first 3 to 4 years having all five kids in the house together. Such age differences but, everyone helped out with each other. You and Ben were like peas in a pot, always rolling, running, laughing and playing. I can't really remember you fighting. When you broke your femur you were aggravating Ben, and he just reacted like a 6 year old. He felt so bad and was so scared when he came into the emergency room. I everyone came to see you and you stayed that one night until they could cast you up the next morning. That adventure was the most tragic and hardest 5 weeks to work through, I'm not complaining, just thinking how blessed we have been. Your crib was in our room for about three years until we made Terry's room downstairs, then you and Ben shared a room but you always wanted to sleep with Daddy and I you were so used to it. You acted like you were in heaven.

37: I can still see the smile on your face and I remember all the noises you would make.I remember in Kindergarten you practiced the tootie tot for your graduation. We all did it. You really got loud and into it. I couldn't wait to see you wit the other kids on that day, but you just froze. I couldn't believe it. I remember you and Ben having a sleep over in the tent outside and i woke up at about 5:00 and all you boys were up running around. About the rime we were suppose to go swimming everyone was sleeping. You got hurt more than anyone else, like the time you were batting and the ball hit your helmet and knocked you down. Remember when Ben passed you on 2nd base because you wouldn't run, he tried to push you to go but you wouldn't so he did. You reminded me about Mother Mary having a pumpkin on her head standing over the moon. I wish I always kept a journal because we do forget so much. I remember going through the drive through at Wendy's and you saying "you know what Mom" and I said "what Jo?" and you said to me, " Someday, I'm going somewhere..." I know whatever you do in life you will succeed, you have many gifts. You're creative, your projects for school always amaze me and your creativity with pictures of Ashlee and cards you made. You have so much athletic ability at playing sports, I love watching you encourage and pat your teammates, you have great sportsmanship. Dad and I enjoyed you putting on your armor and reading your story. You put a lot of work into your achievements. I know Gods spirit in you will shine. I am proud of you ushering at church and teaching Sunday School. Your Birthday fell on Thanksgiving I think on your 7th birthday and you have probably thanked us for everything that we ever did. You never forget. You always say I love you and you have never been too proud to come and kiss me or hug me in front of anyone, even the whole crowded gym of Watertown. That makes me feel special and important. I believe it is a Gift from God. Thanks for tunning me into 88.7 and 101.1 Steve Harvey in the morning inspirational. Thank you for my Daily Devotional this year, I love it. Remember to live like there's no tomorrow Love like you're on borrowed time, and to always be thankful because you are truly blessed. You are dearly loved, Mama

42: Son, I love you. I am glad we have had 18 years with each other and I hope to have 18 more. When you broke your femur that was the toughest challenge we had to deal with especially watching you lay on the couch in pain. I remember buying you and Ben cowboy holsters and guns. You had your badge on and cowboy hat and I heard you say to Ben and Jason, "stop, this is the BIF." Then the time AJ

43: brought that mini bike over and you wrecked in the driveway and tore your arm to pieces. I remember when you couldn't get into bed with us at night you would sleep on the floor beside our bed. I am so proud of how great you do in sports and how smart you are in your classes at school. I hope you go far in life. Don't worry about mowing the yard. Dad will get it. Just get a job... I love you, Your Dad

45: "I thank my God every time I think of you" Philippians 1:3

46: Josiah William Smith, Even though I have not known you your whole life, and I didn't get to see you grow up, in a way I feel like I have always known you. When I met you, you were just 14, it's hard to believe here we are on your 18th birthday. We always talk about how fast time goes, and how our life together will only go faster and faster. But you always remind me to never take one second in life for granted. When I see you, I see my best friend. The person who I look to for advice, comfort and much more and that shows me how God has blessed you with wisdom to be a light to not just me but to many. Seeing you grow up the past few years I can't help but notice the positive impact you have on others, the leadership you take on with your friends, and the roles you play in many lives. Josiah you are truly a reflection ofGods love. I believe God put you in my life for me to treasure, to love, and to look up to. You are always showing me things in life that I sometimes overlook. I see so many things in you that I hope one day our kids will inherit and learn from you. One thing that makes a huge impact in my life is your gentle spirit and caring heart.

47: You never want to upset or hurt anyone, and you always keep calm. I want you to know how blessed I feel that God chose to put you in my life. I thank him for that everyday. We have grown so close the past few years and I love you more everyday. To be honest it is hard to see you growing up and becoming a man, but I am so glad to be a part of it. We have come so far since we first started dating, but we have so much more to come. There is no one else I would rather go through life with other than you and I am so excited to see the plansGod has for your life. Whatever you choose to do in life I promise to support you in every way i can. Life is passing us by too quickly, and there is no stopping it. I promise to enjoy every minute with you. I know that you will touch many people in your lifetime, and God is going to use you to further his Kingdom. There is something special about you that no words can describe. No matter where you go in life, always remember where you came from, and stay true to yourself. I always tell you that no one loves anyone like I love you, and I will spend the rest of my life proving that to you. Forever, Ashlee
