BC: February 5, 2015 | Living Life Life is not a race - but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy.Say "thank you", "I love you", and "great job" to someone each day. Go to church, take time for prayer, The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh, Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper, Love your life and what you've been given, it is not accidental - search for your purpose and do it as best you can. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to be. Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming. Forgive, it frees the soul. Take time for yourself - plan for longevity. Recognize the special people you've been blessed to know. Live for today, enjoy the moment. Bonnie L. Moher

Turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones. Find balance not only by standing still, but by moving with integrity and regard for yourself and others. Know that you can always get to the next step from wherever you are. Make an occasional leap of faith – and if you have short legs, borrow some wings! Know that in the sky of your heart all destinations are reachable. While you’re busy getting wherever you’re going, turn around every so often to give whoever’s behind you a hand. Expect nothing, be ready for anything, and everything will be possible.

16: Children They are your children, given to you by some miracle that you cannot comprehend you were worthy of. They've come and blessed your life. They are your world. Whatever you've known as your own now shared willingly and freely with them. They've come and opened your heart. They are your hope, in a world that's so unforgiving; in their eyes you see promise of better things yet to come. They've come and filled you with joy. They are your happiness personified, yet lit even brighter and with unimaginable beauty created in God's light. They've come and saved your soul. They are your love, unconditional whether it is given or received and have given you complete and utter trust in your life. They've come and given you ambition. For all these things they have given you, You have become a better soul. For this they do promise you their love forever, and ever to become more like you. | Your

Love, Gayle | My favorite thing about Mom is: Her unconditional love, devotion and limitless time she so freely gives. | The funniest thing I ever saw Mom do was: There are so many precious memories, it's hard to choose just one, but here goes. When Mark and I were young and living in Punkin Center in the old Turner house, we were outside playing church. We had been fussing over who would be the preacher and who would lead music. After tiring of that, I had this bright idea of poisoning the devil. So, I went to the back door and told Mom I needed some poison. Of course, she wasn't giving me real poison. She went to the cabinet and got some flour and gave it to me as poison. I told here I knew she was tricking us with flour. She said to get back outside and use what she gave me or I might get to meet the devil personally. (Surely, she meant herself!) | The most important lesson Mom taught me: Perseverance | The happiest I ever saw Mom was: Watching her children and grandchildren experience true happiness. | My most memorable moment with Mom was: Life is so hectic and going in so many directions. She never told me she did not like them until just a few short years ago. | The funniest thing I ever sawMom do was: When we were all piled up on her bed in Jonesboro watching a “chick flick” movie on television and she made the funniest and loudest sound when the sad part of the movie came. She was trying not to cry in front of me, but let out a loud tearful blubber amidst the quiet room. We all started laughing. | The most important lesson Mom taught me: To always stick by your family. Your family will always be the ones who will be there for you when times are tough. And to always try to be the best man I could be – work hard – always be honest – always put family first. | The happiest I ever saw Mom was: Anytime she can have all of her family around her – especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. When she gets to go eat fish, and anytime we talk about Papaw Tyler and how we can still hear him laughing. | My most memorable moment with Mom was: When Gayle and I were little she used to tell us that we were going to drive her crazy if we didn’t stop whatever! Moments before we had to leave, Aunt Nita decided that it was imperative to make use of the outhouse. So as the Tyler ladies always do, we all had to accompany her if nothing else but to witness the moment. Everything was going well until the redressing phase of the nature break. There was some adverse reaction between Aunt Nita's stockings and the humidity of Readhimer in the summer. There was enough tugging and pulling involved to rescue a stranded survivor of the Titanic back to the shores of Europe. After a few moments of her exhaustive efforts, the laughter became so loud and boisterous that we all became blinded by all of the tears of laughter that we were crying. 223: Live a Life that Matters Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten will pass to someone else. Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed Your grudges, resentments, frustrations and jealousies will finally disappear So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists will expire The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away It won’t matter where you came from It won’t matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant So what will matter? What will matter is not your success, but your significance What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example What will matter is not your competence, but your character What will matter is not how many people you knew but how many will feel a lasting loss when you’re gone What will matter is not your memories but the memories that live on in those who loved you What will matter is how long you will be remembered and for what Living a life that matters doesn’t happen by accident It happens by choice ---
