S: My Lacrosse Story

1: Lacrosse la.crosse spelled (luh-kraws, -kros) noun a game, originated by Indians of North America, in which two 10-member teams attempt to send a small ball into each other's netted goal, each player being equipped with a crosse or stick at the end of which is a netted pocket for catching, carrying, or throwing the ball OR LA-CROSSE: a team game played outdoors in which players using heavy sticks with webbing at the end try to throw a hard rubber ball into an opponents' net: can result in blood loss OR LAX Legally beating people with sticks

2: 2006- 2008 | A little like hockey, but played with balls.

4: Attack: the player position in the game that is located in the offensive side and primarily to score goals.

5: Renegades | Ball Hunt: searching for balls at the end of practice usually in heavily wooded areas. | Ward: cradling one handed the attacher pushes off the defender with his free hand causing this penalty.

7: Hack: swinging widely or hacking | Assist: a pass to another player for a shoot. These are counted along with goals & groundballs for stats.

9: 2009 | If you can't play nice, play lacrosse

11: 2010 | Yard Sale: knocking an opposing players stick out of his hand, usually followed by laughter or cheers.

12: 2011 | Hole: area in front of goal, coaches generally tell oncoming defenders to "run to the hole" so they can gain their bearings in the center of the field.


14: Back Door: an offensive player without the ball creeps in, near the goal behind the defender, where the ball carrier throws a pass to him for a simple goal

15: Ripper: extremely fast shot

17: Goal! | Goal! | Goal! | Goal! | Goal! | Konner ties the school record for most goals scored in one game!

18: Ankle breakers: Terms for a fast turn or dodge making the defender lose their balance.

19: Lumberjack: player who "chops wood" or continually slashes the attacker in order to knock the ball out or frustrate the opposing player. | Cradle: motion from shoulder to waist up and down used to keep the ball in the players stick; every player cradles differently, looks a lot harder than it is.

22: X: area behind the goal in lacrosse

23: My Team Friendships Built Memories Made

24: 2012 Morris Knolls finishes: 3rd place Klank Division (best finish ever) with an undefeated 7-0 home record.
