2: Merilee, Sharing these last years with you has been a blessing. I really appreciate the strength of your spiritual walk and your ability to share it with a very difficult age group. I pray the Lord continues to lead you in a direction where you can keep making an impact on youth for Jesus. Blessings, Susan | Merilee: Thank you for caring so much for the students. You have a gift and special place in your heart for atypical learners and students who have challenging family situations. Thank you especially for caring for my own two daughters Esther and Kaley. You have invested a great deal of your time, energy, and prayers on behalf of our students. I pray God will bless you as you continue to serve Him. The adventure of service includes unexpected turns and twists that sometimes lead us to question motives and tempt us to lose courage and trust in others. My study and personal experience leads me to believe that even if people intend things for evil (probably not as often as I suspect), God intends good, and can make continued trust in His guidance well worthwhile. May He grant you courage to face the future, peace of mind, and excitement as He reveals His future plans for you. Continue to know that "you can throw the whole weight of you anxieties upon Him for you are His personal concern." 1Peter 5:7 (Phillips) Delmar | Art Work by YACS Kindergarten Class of 2011 (Aaron, Abbie, Estephany, Ethan, Carmelita, Hunter, & Obed) | Merilee, Thank you so much for everything you have done for all of our kids and their families. You have incredible energy and are able to accomplish so much - it is exhausting to watch! I truly do not know how you fit it all in. You have a bigger heart that anyone I know. Your constant willingness to give ALL to anyone and everyone around you is an amazing inspiration to the rest of us. I will forever miss your constant positive outlook on life and the joy you bring to all of us around you. ~Denise | Dear Merilee, I know we haven't gotten to know each other very well since our two classes don't have much interaction. Having said that, this year I have appreciated your positive attitude in regards to the many challenges you have faced. Last year when I was subbing at various schools, seventh and eighth grades were my least favorite grades for which to sub. I believe that anyone who teaches those grades must love those kids a lot (and put up with a lot, too). I don't think I could do it. I believe God has given you a talent that He will continue to use for His glory. I pray that the Lord will bless and guide you wherever He leads you now! Tiffany Stratte.
3: Merilee - I have learned so much in these past few years working with you, especially in the areas of dealing with at-risk students. You have such a big heart and are so good at understanding students who are sometimes pretty hard to be around!! Your willingness to help in any and all situations has been wonderful. It is my hope and prayer that the Lord will find a place where you can continue to be a blessing to the students you teach and to your fellow teachers who have the privilege of teaching with you. May God bless you, Shirlie White | Dear Merilee, I have enjoyed working with you at YACS. Thank you for helping me with my PE class, giving me ideas, and setting up the equipment. I have been especially blessed by your steadfast faith and deep commitment to Jesus. You are a woman of many talents, and I know God has a plan for your future (Jeremiah 29:11-13). God bless, Karen Wasiczko | Merilee, We haven't worked together very closely since I've been at YACS, but I distinctly remember the first couple time we talked. Once, when I first visited the school and Mr. Frey was giving me a tour, I was floored at the fact that you taught 7th & 8th, P.E., Home Ec., and Auto; and enjoyed teaching them! You go for taking that on! When I was moving into the 1st/2nd classroom in August before my first year at YACS I was feeling lost and you were one of the first people who stopped by 'my' room and welcomed me to the team. That is something that I will never forget. It meant, and still means a lot to me. I wish you all the best! Tiffany Mershon | Hi Merilee. I just wanted to let you know how much I will miss seeing you each day at school. You've been a real help and a very caring person. Thank you for giving me a chance to clean you room while you have your class out for P.E. Thank you for going out of your way to pick up the karaoke machine for me in Ellensburg. That's been a real help to the KING'S STRINGS. May God bless you as you bless others, Mel | Merilee, Thank you for being my partner in crime...I mean travel over the years. The students have tolerated my talks but loved your wonderful meals. Thanks for putting up with me. I know that God will bless you in the next phase of your life. You and your family will be in my prayers. Patrick

Philippians 4:13-14 | I remember the first day in your class thinking that I had never had or never would have, a teacher like you. What was there not to like?! From half hour study breaks throughout the day to arm wrestling contests (girls will always win...) to the discussions about God, there was certainly never a dull moment in your class. Being in your class was such a blessing for me; I remember a conversation you and I had about how if we were the same age and you weren't the teacher, we'd never leave the principal's office...Good times... :) Thank you for truly taking an interest in your student's lives and for bringing a fresh spin to the ordinary classroom experience. You have been such a blessing to us all and I'm sorry for all the students that won't get you as a teacher. 38: Dear Mrs. Redbeg, Thank you so much for the amazing year and a half I got to enjoy with you at YACS. You were the best ELS teacher I could have asked for, and I still think of you every time I sew a whip stitch or change a tire! I had a blast working with you on the yearbook and spending time with you on those early mornings before school. You made P.E. enjoyable, and for that I am grateful. I'm sad that you're leaving YACS, but I'm sure God has bigger and better plans for you up His sleeves. God Bless, Mrs. Redberg! Love, Cheree Hill | Hey Mrs. Redberg, I still have the stuffed horse I made in your class! Aaron Kunkler | Mrs. Redberg, You should really be called Mrs. Cook because those meals that you always prepare for us on the trips with lots of love were delicious. I will truly miss you and your laughs and talks in ELS 101 : } You are a very lovable person and I will never forget you. Helen M.
39: Thanks for making the 2nd half of ELS so much fun and memorable. I still have the stick horse I made for your class! Brandon Calhoun | Mrs. Redberg, I will miss you! You always want the best for the students. The food that you would make on trips was amazing! I really liked the movies you would show us. Anyways, I wish you the best in whatever you do. Hebrews 12:1-3 ---Kaley Wolfkill | Dear Mrs. Redberg, Thank you so much for being willing to work with me and find what worked best for my personality. I know that God had it planned out for you to be my teacher, and just when I needed your flexibility. Keep gardening and so will I. I will pray for you as you move into the next part of God's plan for you. I'm serious! Your student Andrew Sharley
