1: This memory book is dedicated to all the women on this planet who cherish peace, love and community. Special thanks to Mary Scott for her never ending devotion.
2: CANADIAN COMMITTEE FOR UNIFEM WINNIPEG CHAPTER United Nations Development Fund for Women December 2, 2002 1. The name of the organization is: Canadian Committee for UNIFEM Winnipeg Chapter. 2. The objectives of the organization are: to support the work of the Canadian Committee for UNIFEM by: a. building bridges of understanding among women throughout the world by recruiting local membership; b. undertaking mutually supportive activity in order to promote equality, development and peace; c. liaising with Canadian Governments for increased support for UNIFEM; and d. carrying out independent fundraising projects. 3. The organization shall be carried on without purpose of gain for its members, and any profits or other gains to the organization shall be used in promoting the objectives 4. The organization structure of this organization shall be a) an Executive composed of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chairs of Working Committees, from 1 to 3 members at large, with power to add, and b) the general membership. 5. The term of office at the organization's directing officers shall be by majority vote at annual elections held at the annual general meeting of members. The officers may designate a replacement should an officer resign during the year. Terms shall be for a maximum of five consecutive terms with a partial year counting as one year. 6. The active date of this constitution is December 3rd, 2002. 7. Amendment of this Constitution must be submitted in advance to the Chapter President, then to the National Committee for UNIFEM for review and approval, and finally to the Chapter members for approval by 2/3 of those present and voting at an annual general meeting. 8. We certify that this constitution is the governing document for the operation of this organization. PURPOSE To support the work of the Canadian Committee for UNIFEM by: a. building bridges of understanding among women throughout the world by recruiting local membership; b. undertaking mutually supportive activities in order to promote equality, development and peace; c. promoting the work oF UNiFEM to Canadian Governments for increased support; and d. caring out independent fundraising projects. | Total Contributions, 2002-2012, from the Winnipeg Chapter, to support UNIFEM and UN Women programs - $43,012.91

17: Involuntary Dissolution March 2012, directed by the Canadian National Committee for UN Women In 2012 the Winnipeg Chapter submitted its final report. In the months that followed the determination and resolve which they always carried. brought forward a new organization, Women Moving Forward/Institute for International Women's Rights-Manitoba.
