Pg 2+3-I am poem pg 4+5-Self Respect Poem pg 6+7-My Mother's Kitchen pg 8+9-
I Am From Poem I am from Guitar, from Fender and Jackson. I am from the green backyard, the cool pool, and the comfortable bed. I am from the oak tree, and the grape vines. I am from Christmas and brown hair, from Alexander and Martin and Teodora.
I am from the road trips and the flights to Europe. From Santa and the Tooth Fairy. I am from the Bible, the Cross, and Easter, I'm from Sofia, lasagna and salad. From the first visit to the black sea, the trip to America, and my dad’s accordion gigs. I am from Bulgaria.
Self Respect Poem Sometimes I play guitar, sometimes I don’t, Sometimes I sing, sometimes I won’t. Depend on my mood, I might even dance. It really just depends on the day. I’m not (the average) teen. And I ain’t wearing your fake disguise
But I learned to be myself, Because I am unique, I’m not what you think, My worth is not up to you, No matter what I do for you, I will always be me, myself, and I, Nikolay.
One day her aunt walked in, Was it mentioned, she was vegetarian?, She started speaking like mother had done a sin, Because of the food in the recycle bin | My Mothers Kitchen: Mother’s kitchen is a mad place, There’s havoc and disgrace, There are more memories than mom can trace, Some of them, she's afraid to face
Always, the salad was first, With the meat soon to follow, With water to quench the thirst, 'Cuz you have to think of what you swallow. | Such were times in this kitchen, Like when the oven started twitching, The flames were so bizarre, They could be seen from quite afar
Language Arts Poem Let Shakespeare write his essays, But just don’t make us read them, The vocab in there is astray, And that just pushes us away. | Language Arts is going swell, I’m even learning how to spell, We get grammar to the max, We beat the best of English’s attacks,
Now let the seriousness come back, Shakespeare’s poems are the opposite of whack, Some are hopeful, others are ivory black, Each is a different heart attack.
From the outside looking in they'd never understand, from the inside looking out we could never explain. | Greeks do it better...
BROTHERHOOD - LEARN IT, LIVE IT, LOVE IT.
Men's best friends last you only 20 years, but men's best brothers will last you for the rest of your life.
Brotherhood is not a destination, but a journey.
Don't walk in front of me and be my leader, don't walk behind me and be my follower, but walk beside me and be my Brother.
Pain is passing.. Brotherhood is everlasting!
You can take the Brothers out of the Fraternity...
...but you can't take the Brotherhood out of the Brothers.
Not four years, but for life.
 Letters today, Leaders tomorrow.
Brotherhood is not letting petty differences get in the way of anything. It is about being true to yourself. It is about experiencing new adventures by entering the realm of others.
Whatever the Letter, Greeks do it better!
