1: Habitat The rattlesnake lives in the heat. They also live in the desert. They use holes in the ground that other animals made for shelter. They are found all over Texas.

2: Food Rattlesnake eats small animals. They hunt rodents, and lizards. Little ones get eaten by crows, ravens, raccoons, and coyotes. Adults are eaten by eagles, hawks, badgers, and king snakes.

3: Characteristics The rattlesnake can grow to be 8feet long. They can be brown, gray, or white, green. They have a rattle at the end of their tail. Their heads are shaped like a triangle.

4: Adaptations (Camouflage) The rattlesnakes hides under a plant then strikes.They are docile most of the time. They hide from their predators by staying in their under ground nest. They will rattle their rattle to warn you to stay away.

5: Life Cycle The rattlesnake gives live birth to its babies. They live in almost any environment from 9,000 feet in elevation down to sea level.They will rattle their rattle to warn the enemy.They have to shed off their skin.

6: Interesting Facts Rattlesnakes have a place for their though to go on the roof of their mouth to smell. 10% of the rattlesnakes are venomous in the U.S. Onedrop of their poison and a mouse is dead. A rattlesnake is a viperidae.
