FC: The Life of an Elizabethan | By Sam Mandell

1: Geography | The Elizabethan occured in London England, and Wales. People traveled by horse on land and on water they traveled by boat. | The Writer William Shakespeare lived in London and with no help what so ever he made a name for himself and became famous.

2: Religion | The Elizabethan people believed strongly in the supernatural and witches. The old, poor and unprotected single women were believed to be the witches of the Elizabethan age. The average punishment for being a witch was to be hung. | They would have many trials for accused witches, if guilty she would be hung, if innocent she would be let go. | The First printed books of the Elizabethan Age were Bibles. It was a requirement to attend Church.

4: Achievements | The Renaissance brought many advancements in art,literature, theater, music architecture, and medicine. With the renaissance cam new instruments such as string instruments, wind instruments, and keyboard instruments. | As well as instruments the renaissance in the Elizabethan age brought advancements in the field of medicine. The basic medicine during that time was tobacco, dried toad, lily root, and arsenic. | Entertainment varied from sports, to theater to gambling to even bull battles.

6: Politics | In the Elizabethan age Catholicism was not allowed because the queen was constantly in fear of catholic plots. | In the Theater plays had to be censored, or else the play could not be showed. | Because Queen Elizabeth was an extremely religious person anyone who lived in England at the time was required to attend church. Church attendance was an enforced law.

8: Economy | The Center of trade for england was Antwerp (Netherlands) Trade with other areas of Europe really strengthened England's economy. | Once Queen Elizabeth was brought into office the number of monopolies has largely increased. | The primary food of england was meat, but this was only eaten by the upper class people.

10: Society | Jobs included bottler, chaplain, apothecary, cordwainer and a spinster. Daily life all depended on where you lived, your location would greatly effect how your day went. | The Elizabethan women were subservient to men. | Diseases that were the most deadly were the Bubonic plague, dysentery, and Typhoid.

12: William Shakespeare | William Shakespeare was born in Stratford, England on April 23rd 1564 and lived until April 23rd 1616. and died by an unknown disease. William Shakespeare was and still is the greatest writer to ever live. He wrote 38 plays in total, including Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet and many more. Besides plays he also wrote Sonnets and epic poems. William Shakespeare was one child of 8, he was the third. Later he married Anne Hathaway and had 3 children, susana, Hamnet and Judeth, the last two were twins. Unfortunately she died on August 6h 1623. He soon moved to london and joined a theater group called the Lord Chamberlains Men, later switched to The kings men. William Shakespeare became famous in London through his traveling acting group. He brought his child hood and brought real life into his plays and poems. He started a literate revolution that would change the world forever. He introduced to the world to comedies, and plays with sexual themes.

17: Hello my name is Leonardo and i am an italian Emissary. I am 23 years young. I started when i was 18 so i only experienced 12 years of education. I would say my economic status is just about right for a person my age I have a wife but no kids and every night me and my wife eat a very good meal prepared by her. We live in a very nice house, more than enough for me and my wife. When i am with my friends and family i am a calm, talkative and funny person but when i am doing my job i am as serious as can be and always get the job done and do it exceptionally well. I am a medium height, skinny but strong man and blends in well with the crowd. (which is a good thing for me) I wear light clothing so its easier to move around and its comfortable. I wear bright clothes during the day and dark clothes during the night to blend in. Everyday is a new adventure for me and i am always up for the challenge.
