FC: Spooky pictures from your fans around the world!

We at Support Supernatural, Heather Vitas from Baltimore & Lindsay Warren from Detroit, were so excited to head up another fan campaign. This year when we started spreading the word of our intentions, we received an email from Jennifer Goodwin who asked us to hold off on our plan in order to get some information about the organization that Jared was officially endorsing. After a few months, we heard that A Dog’s Life Rescue was the lucky charity. In March we started our campaign with a goal of raising $10,000.00 by August 14th. As of August 19th, 2009, your fans helped to raise over $12,000 in donations for A Dog's Life Rescue. We present this book to you as a representation of all the donors who sent money for the cause in order to show their support for you and “Supernatural”. Enjoy reading and seeing picture of creepy, spooky and haunted places around the world from your fans. Thank you for all you do to give us a great show week after week, season after season. Good luck in everything you do in your career and your future! Sincerely, Heather Vitas & Lindsay Warren heatherandlindsay@supportsupernatural.com www.supportsupernatural.com

St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Royal Oak, Michigan Established 1875 While most old cemeteries are creepy, this one takes the cake. St. Mary Catholic Cemetery actually spooked out my dog, Pebbles. I was walking her in broad daylight on the opposite of the street (a four lane street) from this cemetery earlier this summer. She immediately got agitated when we neared this cemetery. She was not agitated in an "Oh look it's a squirrel" way. It was truly an "I don't like what is over there" way. She got immediately calm again once we walked away from it. | Jensen and Jared, We are so proud to do our part in promoting your television show and raising money for a very worthy charity. Thank you so much for being an inspiration to us. And thank you for bringing so many dear friends into my life. Much love, Lindsay Warren from Royal Oak, Michigan Co-Founder, www.SupportSupernatural.com | Pictures taken by Lindsay Warren

Baldwin Theatre, Royal Oak, Michigan Located in downtown Royal Oak just south of 4th street on Lafayette, the Baldwin Theatre was built in 1922 and was originally built as a vaudeville playhouse. Recent reports from members of the community theatre now occupying the theatre have reported many props, sets and paint cans that have been moved into strange formations during the night and many shadows dart around the darkened stage at shows end. Also in the old balcony, which is now a second level theatre, there is a very active spirit which plays pranks on theatre members at night working on lights in the lighting booth and the stage lights high above the main auditorium. A face of a child can also be seen in a picture printed in a souvenir program of the new marquee being put up. One worker reports hearing footsteps on the other side of the curtain and behind the set, checking everywhere and no one was there. | Pictures taken by Lindsay Warren | Pictures taken by Lindsay Warren

Black Aggie is a local legend in Baltimore and Pikesville, Maryland. Black Aggie is the folkloric name given a statue placed on the grave of General Felix Agnus in Druid Ridge Cemetery in 1925. The statue was surrounded by many urban legends, principally that someone spending the night in its lap would be haunted by the ghost of those buried there; that the spirits of individuals buried at Druid Ridge would annually convene at the statue; that no grass would grow on the ground where the statue's shadow would lay during the daytime; or that the statue would somehow animate itself during the night, whether by physically moving or by showing glowing red eyes. The Agnus family, disturbed by the sort of attention the statue received, donated it to the Smithsonian in 1967. It sat for many years in storage at the National Museum of American Art (later named the Smithsonian American Art Museum) where an authorized recasting of the original Adams Memorial statue now sits. Black Aggie was moved from her previous home at the museum to a courtyard behind the Dolley Madison House on Lafayette Square in Washington, DC where she currently resides. | All photos on this page, except the one below, taken by Heather Vitas

Since 1949, on the night of Poe's birthday, January 19th, a "Toaster" as they have become known, comes to Poe's grave. He leaves a partial bottle of cognac and 3 roses, believed to represent, the 3 people buried under the monument; Poe, Mary Clemm (Poe's mother-in-law) and Virginia Clemm (Poe's wife and first cousin). | I just wanted to thank you guys for the awesome work you do on Supernatural. I have met so many great friends because of the show and have been able to participate in so many fun campaigns, including this one for A Dog's Life Rescue. We were so happy to be able to collect so many donations for this great organization. I hope you enjoy this book. Lindsay and I wanted to do something a little different and I hope this is. Thank you again for everything you do and good luck with all your future projects! Sincerely, Heather Vitas from Baltimore, Maryland Co-founder of www.supportsupernatural.com heatherandlindsay@supportsupernatural.com | Pictures taken by Heather Vitas (except for the picture of Poe)

It was established in 1888 as the Asylum and Training School for the Feeble Minded. From 1912 to 1961, it was known as the Rosewood State Training School. In 1961, the facility was renamed as the Rosewood State Hospital. After the state departments of health and mental hygiene merged in 1969, the facility was renamed the Rosewood Center. Many have reported hauntings in and around the premises of the Rosewood Center. It is believed that the ghosts of the patients who had suffered while being "treated" in the center in fact still roam the grounds. Inside the building is described to be a perfect resemblance of a Silent Hill video game. Rumors and tales of shadowy figures, whispering voices, and objects moving on their own have all been discussed among a huge wavelength. | The Rosewood Center was an institution for people with developmental disabilities located on Rosewood Lane in Owings Mills, Maryland. | I couldn't resist taking this picture ---> | Pictures taken by Heather Vitas

Pictures taken by Heather Vitas | On the left is a mansion in Ellicott City known as Lilburn in Ellicott City, Lilburn Mansion's ghosts have been made public knowledge since the 1920's, with new stories being added to town lore throughout the years. Housekeepers have seen an apparition of a young girl wearing a chiffon dress, playing in various rooms of the mansion. The sound of heavy footsteps climbing the tower stairs is heard by the living. One family who lived here reported that their dog was afraid to enter a 2nd floor room off the hallway. The aroma and sometimes the actual presence of cigar smoke drifting through the air is noticed in the library. A vase of flowers elevated off its stand and turned itself over, pouring the water and dumping the floral arrangement on the floor. | The Patapsco Female Institute, on the right, is found high above Ellicott City on Church Road. The view from the front lawn of the ruins, once a girl's school, is a commanding one and looks out small town, the hills and the river beyond. Colds and sickness spread among the girls during the wet and cool months and a number of girls even died from influenza and croup. One such girl was said to be Annie Van Derlot, the daughter of a rich southern planter. She died from pneumonia during her first winter at the school and her ghost is said to still linger there, roaming the ruins where her classrooms and dormitory used to be.

On the right, is St. Mary's College, in Ilchester, MD. (Yep, it's a real city.) I'm pretty sure this is the legend used in Lucifer Rising. There are a ton of stories that go along with the place, including rumors of a caretaker that will chase you off the property using a shotgun full of rock salt. The most likely legend is that of a priest that hung five female students, then killed himself, in 1972. | You guys are really awesome :) Keep doing your thing, you're both very talented, and I'll look forward to seeing where your careers lead you! Even if you can't save the world in reality, you're helping to save the world of some very lucky animals. That's a really good thing, and I respect that. Thank you! <3 Megan from Glen Burnie, Maryland | I would just like to say, quite simply, thank you. You are both amazing actors, and a joy to watch. I count it as an honor to be a part of such a great fandom. From Erin McCloud in Pasadena, Maryland | Pictures taken by Erin McCloud | On the left is from Hancock's Resolution, located on the Chesapeake Bay, in Pasadena, MD. It's rumored to be haunted by either a slave from the 1700s or an elderly family member. The building on the left used to have an old rocking chair, that would move itself, and "things" could be seen moving from one building to the other at night. Of course, this is all local legend, since these are neither scary nor gruesome, and it's not a very well known "haunted" house. But it did make for some interesting midnight trips in high school.

From Stacy Adkins in West Virginia | Here are a couple of photos from the "Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum" in Weston, WV. It was built in 1851 and is supposedly the second largest hand-cut stone masonry building in the world, following the Kremlin. There have been numerous reports of supernatural encounters and the Sci-Fi show "Ghost Hunters" just filmed a show there in March.

Here are some pictures from a cemetery in Berlin, courtesy of Birgit Gumprecht. | Pictures taken by Birgit Gumprecht.

Government House, Regina, Saskatchewan Saskatchewan's Government House was built in 1891 when the province was still part of the Northwest Territories and was the official residence of the lieutenant governor until 1945. Since then it has been used as a convalescent home for World War II veterans and an adult education centre. It was saved from demolition in the 1970s and turned into a museum; the lieutenant governor still has his office in the building but no longer lives there. | Over the years, several staff and former students have observed strange occurrences at Government House. Doors have been said to open and close repeatedly with no one near, the sound of crying babies and laughing children have been heard late at night with no one around, and others have claimed to see eerie faces next to theirs when looking into mirrors. One particular ghost of note is "Howie," believed to be the former cook of Lieutenant-Governor Archibald McNab. Many believe that his spirit roams the house; his footsteps often heard shuffling through the halls. He even has a say in the interior decorating -- witnesses have inexplicably found objects shifted or moved. | From Rhonda Stewart in Canada | Hello fellas! Thanks for all you do for the best show out there and all of us fans! Since I am Canadian, this is a quote from a famous Canadian (a hockey player - of course) named Paul Coffey. "Nobody's a natural. You work hard to get good and then work hard to get better". This seems to express exactly what you guys strive for each episode. As I am sure you guys know - hard work really does pay off! Thanks again. Love, Rhonda

From DeeDee in Texas | These are pictures of the Goodnight House, which was built by Charles Goodnight in 1887. | Charles Goodnight was co-founder of the Goodnight-Loving Trail, the first rancher in the Texas Panhandle. Along the way, he founded Goodnight College and he made peace with the local Indians - even made friends with Quanah Parker. He hosted buffalo hunts for them on his land. He and his wife were credited with preserving a herd of buffalo, the descendants of which still exists today. | Thanks, guys, for all your hard work and for giving so much to your fans. As someone who takes in and rehabs strays on a regular basis, I'm honored to be able to help out A Dog's Life Rescue in their work. There are so many helpless critters out there that need our help! Thanks again, Jared and Jensen for all you do! | Pictures taken by DeeDee Box

As we were sitting at tables in the master bedroom - the square section you see in the picture on the left - and I looked up to see a ghostly form, a man in a white shirt, walking from the room through that door. I had a clear view and recognized him right away from pictures I'd seen. There was another entity in there, too. Not sure who or what, but that one was not nice. This is just a personal experience I had there. I haven't had time yet to check out other stories about the place. | Goodnight House is currently being restored and is located about 35 miles from Amarillo. It seems that Colonel Goodnight still hangs around the place. He has been seen walking through the back door. That door originally opened into what was then the master bedroom of the house. The house is not currently open to the public, however, I was privileged to be a part of a group invited out for a tour in regards to the current renovations.

From Holly Collins in Bunbury, Australia Dear Jared & Jensen I just want to say you two are incredible actors. I love watching your work (especially Supernatural...it is my favourite show!). You guys are the inspirations for a lot of my work as an aspiring actress. You also encapture the bond of family perfectly, it reminds me so much of me and my brother, Kristian (who is also a die hard Supernatural fan). It is a joy to watch you both in Supernatural. And thank you so much for supporting A Dog's Life Rescue. I have owned rescued dogs all my life. It is great to know that other dogs will have the chance to find happy homes. I wish you both the best for your future careers. I am really looking forward to future Supernatural episodes and watching other projects (maybe one day I will be lucky enough to star along side you [both]). Peace & Love Holz

Karen Miller from Sydney Australia Love the show. Jared, thanks for putting a spotlight on the plight of homeless/abused animals, especially dogs. I rescued my dog, McDuff, when I was teaching college. He's nearly 20 now, doing it tough but hanging in there. God bless you both, guys, for your generosity of spirit. | From Petra Cooke in Queensland, Australia Helping animals in need of tender loving care is close to my heart, and I'm happy to help with this worthwhile project. Thank you Jared for endorsing this campaign, your love for your own dogs is inspirational. Kind regards, Petra | The Capitol - a demonic cat is said to run loose in the basement and appears just before significant negative events such as assassinations | The U.S. Capitol - many reports from the Capitol Police of unexplained activity.

Jared and Jensen you make a great Job, thank you. I like to watch you on the show. I wait patiently until Season 3 starts on German TV. Greetings from Switzerland, Sabine | From Stephanie (Willow) in Mechernich, Germany The picture to the right is a pictures of the "holy“ place with an actual legend surrounding it from the area. This cross can be found at the death maar (nickname for the Weinfelder Maar) in the volcanic Eifel region. It belonged to a village that had vanished suddenly. Nobody knows why, just like the Anazazi in Mesa Verde in Colorado, the people also vanished. The Death Maar is actually a crater lake and the small chapel along with the cross is centuries old. | Picture taken and made creepy by Sabine | Picture taken by Stephanie

Beth sent this picture of a tombstone, which is from a cemetery in a neighboring town. The building is the old jail in her town of Colwyn, Pennsylvania, about 2.5 miles outside of Philadelphia. | From Beth Zimmerman in Pennsylvania Thank you guys for giving my family a great show to watch together every Thursday night (it's the only time my family watches TV together). | From Melissa Zimmerman in Philadelphia, PA Jared and Jensen: Thanks for the charities that you support and raise awareness for. Also, thanks for your hard work on Supernatural. You both do such a wonderful job, and I really appreciate it. | Pictures taken by Beth Zimmerman

This is Waverley Abbey and it's in a town near me called Farnham in Surrey, England. Built in 1128, Waverley Abbey is England's first Cistercian Abbey. It is said to be haunted and my husband and I have done an overnight paranormal investigation there (sadly we didn't see any ghosts but the place is set some distance off the beaten track quite a way from any built up areas or street lights and gets VERY misty, dark and spooky at night!). | From Jo Matthews in England | Picture taken by Jo Matthews

The town I live in here in Louisville is a really small town. We don't have a lot of spooky places, but I did manage to capture a picture of an old house that is close to where my Grandmother's house is out in the country. I can't really explain why, but every time I have passed this place I get a creepy vibe. I know it isn't just the looks of the place. I just don't know anything about its history or how long it has been there. It does have its own creepy-esque aura, don't you think? | From Terry Woodson in Louisville Jensen and Jared, I am proud to have helped with your charity of choice. You guys give so much of yourself to us, your fans, so I am proud to be able to give something good back to the world dedicated to you. You guys are awesome. | Picture taken by Terry Woodson

From Anne Garcia In Orange County, California The Holy Sepulcher Cemetery is said to be haunted by a woman in white roaming the cemetery and people have witnessed a candle burning at all hours of the night, even when the wind picks up. Maybe it's one of the nuns from the sisters of Saint Joseph (their sculpture in the attached photo). I've enclosed a couple other photos in the cemetery. | Pictures taken by Anne Garcia

From Lynne Brightman in Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada Bowmanton Cemetery | Pictures taken by Lynne Brightman

From Kaye Bauer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Thank you Jared & Jensen for doing what you both do to bring us such a wonderful show as Supernatural. You both are very talent actors and your hard work does not go unnoticed. Us fans appreciate all you do for us! I hope to continue to see your works for a very long time to come! You guys rock! Also thank you for the wonderful work you do for all the charities you work with. They are very lucky to have you in their corners. | The Lion's Bridge is in a park along Milwaukee's lakefront. There have been several reports including hearing and seeing children, hearing laughter, and an overall feeling of not being welcomed. Several witnesses have seen children standing by the lions, behaving almost as sentinels or guards.

The North Point Lighthouse is located in one of Milwaukee’s oldest public parks, Lake Park on the eastside. The original North Point Lighthouse and Keeper’s Quarters were built of cream city brick and officially opened November 22, 1855. Reports of activity include hearing and seeing children, hearing laughter (and not the nice friendly type), cold spots, and an overall feeling of not being welcomed. Located near the south end of the park. | Pictures taken by Kaye Bauer

While in Scotland, Karen Loberg took these pictures. The first is of Black Castle on the way from Edinburgh to Sterling Castle on a little back road. | From Karen Loberg in Alberta Canada An awesome Idea..love that you love the dogs!! The show is exceptional and you should all be proud of the work you do! Can't wait till next season. Thanks so much. | The cemetery below was on the way through to the Isle of Skye. | Pictures taken by Karen Loberg

The stone walls on the left were on the way to Balmoral Castle in the Highlands. In the center of them is The Royal Get Away Castle. | My nephew has been seriously ill since he was born and spends a great deal of time in the hospital. I record TV shows for him, and Supernatural is one of his favourites. We watch it together, it's our thing, and it gives him some much needed happiness one hour at a time, and something to look forward to at the end of a long day of horrible tests and treatments. So next time you're working in the cold rain in the wee hours in the morning wondering why you're doing this, there's a reason for you. By the way, he wanted to direct a TV show until he saw how much fun you guys were having on the gag reel. Now he wants to be an actor on a TV show! So I have prepared acting workshops for him, using your work from Supernatural. He loved it! This donation is my way of saying thank you, and I adore dogs so it's perfect! From Michele Sheaff in Quebec City, Canada | Pictures taken by Karen Loberg

On the right is Queens Park Provincial Legislative Building - Toronto, Ontario This night shot of the Legislative Building gives it that wonderful 'haunted house' quality. | Algonquin Provincial Park - Ontario (below) Look closely at this overturned tree stump in Algonquin and it seems as if there is an opening to an underground passageway - perhaps a Wendigo's lair. | When I came across this painting by Francis Patella (below), who is a visual artist working in Toronto, I right away thought of the aftermath of the Apocalypse even though that wasn't the artist's intent as evidenced by the painting's title. | Pictures taken by Alessandra Baker

Even with the great SN writers, directors, set designers, lightening/FX teams and guest stars, I know if it was anyone but the two of you portraying Dean and Sam I wouldn't enjoy SN half as much. The effortless way in which you play off each other turns Dean & Sam the characters into Dean & Sam real life brothers on a mission. If this thrill ride ends with Season 5, I won't mourn, I'll be grateful to have been wonderfully entertained by 2 fantastic actors. I wish you both continued professional success and personal happiness. Alessandra Baker from Toronto, Canada | <-- U-Tree, Mount Pleasant Cemetery - Toronto, Ontario This picture makes me think of Satan's horns and he got stuck trying to raise himself out of Hell. | Apart from the beautiful composition of the photograph, the marking on the Angel's face makes it seem to me as if she is crying.

Angela Leslie sent information about the Ghosts of the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada Many guests have seen figures of ghosts at the foot of the bed. Sometimes it’s a man and other times, it’s a woman dressed in a ball gown representative of the hotel’s early years. Room 202 is supposedly haunted by the ghost of a woman who hung herself in the closet after she found out her husband was killed in a car accident. Guests have seen a woman dressed in a cloak or robe hovering at the end of the bed. Hotel maids have claimed to see blood seeping through the walls of the room. A woman politician attended a retreat at the Fort Garry Hotel and requested to stay in room 202 because she had heard about the room being haunted. During the night, she felt someone getting into bed beside her. The ghost of the same women has been seen crying in the corner of the hotel lounge after asking an employee for a glass of water. | There is an account of two employees who had a ghostly encounter in 1989. They were in the main kitchen doing their overnight cleanup. One worker had gone up the back stairway at 4:00am and heard sounds from the locked dining room. The worker went back to the main kitchen in order to access the dining room. He saw the ghost of a man eating dinner at one of the tables. By the time the worker brought back the front desk staff to witness the male diner, he had disappeared even though the dining room door remained locked. 29: From Karla Kampers in Windsor, ON Canada Thanks for working so hard every week for us! I've watched you guys grow as actors and it makes me oddly proud. You make a show that I'm proud to say I'm a fan of, and that's something. | From Julie Harper in Ontario, Canada Jared-I think you are an awesome and very talented actor. I enjoyed your work as Dean Forrester on Gilmore Girls and really enjoy you on Supernatural. Your show, Supernatural, has brought me and the kids closer together, thank you for the entertainment and love your smile, keep up the good work! Julie xoxo | Karla sent this picture of Ye Olde Walkerville Bed & Breakfast, which is rumored to have a haunted guest room. | From Patricia Prior in Victoria, B.C. Canada I just wanted to say that I am very glad that both of you have gone on from Days of Our Lives and the Gilmore Girls to have a lucrative prime time series, and on top of that your helping the homeless animals is awesome. Way to go guys!!!!

From Gloria "Erin" Atwater in Douglas County, NV Thank you, Jared, for your compassion and caring for homeless and abused animals. As someone who's been owned by numerous dogs over the years, several rescues, I bless you and salute you. Thanks also to you and Jensen for all your hard work in giving us "Supernatural." You guys so completely inhabit your roles, that you make that show come alive. SPN and "Deadwood" are the only shows on TV that I watch, and I appreciate everything you guys do. God bless you, much love from northern Nevada! :-) | From Geraldine Trimble in Ireland Jared. This is amazing work you are doing. It is really nice to see you using your status as a celebrity to help such a worthy cause. | From May Rosenlund in Sutton, MA To Jensen & Jared (if you're reading), thank you for all your hard work in creating something so awesome. I love being a fan. I love Supernatural. I hope you guys have fun this season. We all look forward to seeing more Supernatural!

From Jessica McEachern in New York, Hey, guys. First and foremost, thank you so much for all the hard work you do in bringing this show to us. Second, thank you for supporting this charity. I'm a huge dog lover (I've only got one at the moment but she's my baby), and it makes me happy to know that we share this in common. Finally ... Happy Belated Birthday, Jared! :) | From Becky Gilreath, Whitley City, Kentucky Jared and Jensen, I am so proud to be a fan of you guys and of Supernatural. You have brought people from all over the world together and these people have done wonderful things to help make the world a better place. It would not have happened if Supernatural didn't exist and if you two weren't such amazing people. Thank you so much for everything!! Lots of love, Becky

The Boulder Dam Hotel (on the left) has activity that occurs throughout the hotel. Employees hear muffled conversations when no one is around and sounds of laughter are frequently heard in the lobby. The lobby is supposed to be the realm of a friendly ghost named Tommy Thompson who worked from almost 30 years as the hotel's night clerk. There have been many stories of people being approached in the basement, a hand on the shoulder or thrust up from the floor grabbing someone by the ankle. | The Boulder City Pet Cemetery (on the right) was built over 50 years ago, and it is said that if you go to it at night a white cat will follow you through out the cemetery if it likes you. | From Jessica McQuillan in Boulder City, NV Thank you for the super work you bring to the best show on TV and also for backing great charities like A Dog's Life! It's refreshing to see celebrities that care about more than the superficial. You guys are great role models to share with my second graders. Keep doing what you're doing! Much love & success! | Pictures provided by Jessica McQuillan

Hi Jared and Jensen, Just wanted to take a minute to thank you guys for all the hard work you do on the show. It doesn't go unnoticed. I know you guys put in many, many hours everyday to give us a show that's truly one of a kind right now. I also wanted to thank you for doing all the cons and being willing to meet each and every one of us. It's nice to know how much you guys care about the fans and are so appreciative of us. Please don't ever change! You guys are truly some of the nicest celebs I've ever met. Thank you for those memories I'll keep for a long time. It means so much and I'll continue to support you both in your future careers. You guys rock!! All My Best, From Liz in Saint Petersburg, FL | Hey guys first off I would like to thank your for the totally awesome job that you both do on Supernatural. You have created 2 fantastic and memorable characters that will live on in our hearts long after the show has come to an end! You both are extremely talented young men and I sincerely hope that one day you both get all the credit and respect from Hollywood that you so rightfully deserve! Second of all, being a big time animal lover as well as someone who has rescued a cat, dog, and a horse I would like to thank you for the awesome job that you do in calling attention to such a worthy charity as A Dog's Life Rescue. Keep up the great work! I am really looking forward to season 5!! Supernatural totally rocks and so do you Jared and Jensen! :) From Katie in Cleveland, Ohio | From Alice Jester in Ohio Fans, friends, and loyal followers of The Winchester Family Business website for the last several months placed their orders for Amazon.com through our site's Amazon Associates link. All proceeds were donated for A Dog's Life Rescue, which ended up being 6% of total order revenue made through the site. The most popular item ordered was Jim Beaver's book, "Life's That Way." Given the tough times, this ended up being a perfect way for those short on cash to contribute. Julene (Tigershire) even offered her Associates link for Canadian folks who wanted to order but couldn't, so there was plenty of fan support coming from everywhere for the animals. Supernatural fans have the biggest hearts in the world. Thank you for your inspiration for us to do better things.

From Kaitlin in Tulsa Oklahoma It reminds me so much of the Constance bridge from the pilot... The only thing I altered was to try and remove someone's tail light because I couldn't wait for him to leave frame since traffic was coming up behind me and I was stopped in the middle of the bridge, LOL. :) | From Liz Walls in Chicago The picture to the left is of the inside of a 100-year old chimney in the Monadnock Building in Chicago. | Picture taken by Kaitlin Crotty | Picture taken by Liz Walls

From Pamela Wang in New York Thanks for letting me be a part of such an awesome cause. You both are so generous with your time and talent and it's a pleasure to support you any way I can. Thank you for all that you do! | Pictures taken by Pamela Wang

Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia is the resting place of three Presidents, twenty-five Confederate generals and is also the resting place of the infamous ‘Richmond Vampire’, W.W. Pool. There have been numerous stories and legends that have featured the cemetery itself and with over three thousand marked graves as well as numerous unmarked graves it is one of the creepiest places in Virginia. | All pictures on this page taken by Megan King

Stratford Hall Plantation, on the left, was the home of four generations of the Lee family of Virginia and was the birthplace of Robert E. Lee. The plantation itself is home to several gravesites and its history is painted with various stories of mysterious deaths and ghosts. | Widow’s Cliffs, on the right, is located in Montross, Virginia and is well known in local legend. Our area of Virginia is known for their seafood businesses and these cliffs are a major part of our history. The legend goes that when a storm rolled into our area while the fishermen were still working on the river their wives would place one lantern each on the end of the cliff. If there was a lantern left after the storm had passed, the locals would prepare to go search for a missing fisherman. | Jensen and Jared, Thank you so much for the hard work you have put into the show. Supernatural is amazing! – Megan, Virginia | All pictures on this page taken by Megan King

Below is a picture of the stairs used in The Exorcist, located in Georgetown, Washington D.C. | Above is Garrett Farm or ‘Garret Place’ is the location where John Wilkes Booth was shot and killed by Union Soldiers on April 26, 1865. Although several groups believe Booth escaped from the Garrett farm, no proof has been uncovered to neither confirm nor totally rule out the beliefs. The house and dilapidated barn remnants were excavated and placed within the confines of the adjacent Fort A.P. Hill. | All pictures on this page taken by Megan King | On the right is the Church Hill Tunnel in Richmond, Virginia Built in the early 1870s, in 1925, the tunnel collapsed on a work train killing four and trapping a steam locomotive and some flat cars. Rescue efforts only resulted in further collapse, and the tunnel was eventually sealed for safety reasons. Over the years, there have been numerous reports of weird lights and noises coming within the tunnel.

Oshawa Guide House | To Jared, I want to say thank you for supporting such a fantastic charity as this. I'm glad I could also do my little bit to help. I'm a great dog lover myself - as much as I love my job working with disabled children there are times I'd much rather play with their dogs!! :-) To both Jared and Jensen, I'd like to say congratulations on Supernatural...its truly an amazing show and you are both incredible actors. It is a pleasure to watch each week. I hope this season is going well and you're having lots of fun. I can't wait to see you back on my screen. Good luck with everything you do in the future and keep up the good work. Hannah from Oxford, UK

Archway- apparently 4 spirits clash at this point | <-- Monte Cristo Homestead | Monte Cristo Homestead has been explored by many ghost hunters. It has also been featured on the world famous Castle of Spirits website as one of their favorite haunts. The Australian Ghost Hunters Society regularly holds ghost hunts at Monte Cristo and have had some very interesting experiences there on occasion. | A maid fell to her death from the balcony. The blood stained steps below were cleaned and to this day, you can still see the discolouration from the bleach. Could she be the mysterious woman who still walks the balcony?

From Jodie Fraser in Australia Being an avid Supernatural fan and a huge animal lover, I couldn't think of anything better than combining the two. Supernatural supporting an animal charity is just fantastic!! Having eight pets myself, it makes me feel even closer to my two favourite boys, knowing they share my love of animals.. So thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for continuing to bring the best show on earth. Kick some demon ass!!! | Footsteps have been heard walking through empty rooms, along the hall and down the stairs, which is strange in itself. However, what is even stranger is that the steps sound as though the person is walking on hard wood or lino floors even though the entire house is now carpeted! | Photos taken by Jodie Fraser

This is the "Rinnboeck Chapel" in Vienna Austria. It was built in the 19th century and is located on the "Friedhof Alt Simmering". | The cemetery was first mentioned 1267. In 1784 the cemetery was supposed to be closed because it was adjacent to a school building. But the inhabitants of Simmering filed a petition and saved their cemetery. | All pictures on these pages were taken by Gabriele Eichberger

The cemetery grew over the centuries and was almost destroyed in World War 2 during the battle of Vienna. Again the people of the parish stood together and helped to renovate the cemetery. | Today it has about 57,000 square meters and about 8,000 graveyards. No doubt this place is full of history and mysteries.

Thank you Jared and Jensen for all the great work and energy you've invested on giving us this wonderful show, this work of art, called Supernatural! Never before have I been touched by a TV show like the way I'm touched by Supernatural - not least because of your awesome portrayal of the Winchester brothers. You both are very talented guys and your acting is one of the reasons the show got this magic appeal. I've only had the honor to meet you in a few rushed moments at the convention in Birmingham/UK this year - in this context I want to express my thank you for having the patience to pose with us fans for photos and bringing up the energy to write all the autographs! It was an unforgettable weekend for me - first convention I've ever been and all! ;-) So, I'm not only admiring your work but that you guys have kept your social awareness. That you care and 'give your name' for a charity like 'A Dog's Life Rescue' is admirable. Thank you - for entertaining us, for bringing us joy and for all the awesome things that happened to me because I've started to watch Supernatural a few years ago! This might be the last season of Supernatural but I hope to see you soon in more great roles, maybe on the big screen! Tell your parents they can be proud to have such wonderful sons! It would be awesome to see you again live on stage, maybe next year in Bad Neuenahr/Germany at the 'Asylum Europe' Supernatural-convention? ;-) Anyway... Wish you all the best and good luck for the future - career and family! Yours sincerely, Judith From Lower Saxony / Germany

My name is Cassie Webster, I live in Ramona, CA, a small town in San Diego County. So this story is not your typical kind of spooky but it is sure to give you goose bumps! During our most recent wildfire, we had quite a scare. The first night of the fires they thought the town was going to burn. The entire town of Ramona was evacuated, with only two ways out, there was a 3-hour wait just to flee our own town. My family decided to stay. My father, a SDPD K-9 officer, decided he would stay and when the fire got close he decided it was time for my mom, my sister and I to leave. The sky was black with ash and I remember looking out my bedroom window and seeing nothing but flames. We grabbed our dogs and put them in the horse trailer and let our horses out of their pens hoping they would depend on their instinct to find safety. It was the scariest moment of my life. With winds reaching hurricane speeds our little town was turned upside down and resembled a warzone. | z"CHAPTER 43 ...Fear not; for I have saved you, I have called you by your name because you are mine. 2 When you shall pass through the sea, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you. ...5 Fear not; for I am with you;" Out of all of the pages in the Bible this one made it through the fires and into my yard. It still gives me goose bumps! <3 Cassie Webster | If my father had not stayed that night to spray the embers flying into our yard and onto the roof, our house would've have surely burned. Thank God it did not. After the worst was over we set to clean the mess that had been made of our 5 acres, there was trash littering our entire yard. Out of hundreds of pieces of trash and paper, there was ONE page from the bible. Burnt all the way around the edges, the beginning of a chapter solely the focal point of this entire piece of paper. This is what it read.

Ghosts and old lighthouses often seem to go hand in hand and here in northeast Ohio we have a unique "ghost" tale of our own. Or maybe I should say, a "ghost cat" tale. This is the Fairport Harbor Marine Museum and Lighthouse. Located at the mouth of the Grand River in Fairport Harbor, Ohio, it is the first Great Lakes lighthouse marine museum in Ohio, as well as the first in the United States. Originally built in 1825 and rebuilt in 1871 due to deterioration, the lighthouse was a safe haven for sailors as well as refugees traveling along the Underground Railroad. The story of the ghost cat dates back to around 1877. In 1871, Captain Joseph Babcock took over the duties of Head Keeper of the Fairport Harbor Lighthouse. A Civil War veteran, he and his family resided in the second floor quarters of the keeper’s house. | The lower floor was the working shop for the lighthouse. Two of the Babcock children, Hattie and Robbie, were born in the house. Robbie died of diphtheria at the age of five. Shortly after that, his wife Mary became incapacitated by depression and was bedridden. The Captain gave her numerous cats to keep her company and to comfort her. After she died, most of the cats disappeared, except for a gray cat. It stayed around for years after her death, until it eventually vanished as well. The lighthouse was officially decommissioned in 1925, after 100 years of providing guidance to Lake Erie sailors. The two structures sat unused and unoccupied until 1945, when the citizens of Fairport Harbor rallied to save them from demolition. Eventually the keeper’s house and lighthouse were turned into a museum and operated by a newly formed historical society. In the late 1980’s, they allowed a curator Pam Brent to live upstairs in the house, Babcock's old living quarters. In 1989, Pam reported seeing the ghost of a gray cat to the society’s board. She said, "It would skitter across the floor near the kitchen like it was playing. I would catch glimpses of it from time to time. Then one evening, I felt its presence when it jumped on the bed. | A picture of the house back in 1874 | A picture of the house back in 1874

I felt its weight pressing on me." Reports of the cat were soon being mentioned by other society members working in and around the site. Reports of “small puffs of gray smoke” from museum visitors came next. The gray ghost cat of Fairport Harbor began getting some recognition. It has even been featured on the Travel Channel's "Haunted Lighthouses of America". Twelve years later in 2001, some light was shed on the gray ghost cat haunting. The historical society had HVAC upgrades made to the keeper’s house and air conditioning was installed. A worker installing the new system wiggled his way into a tight dark crawl space in the basement. He looked to see what his head was resting on and discovered the mummified remains of a gray cat. Today, the cat is on display inside a glass case at the museum and it’s the most popular attraction with the children who visit. In 2005, a contest was held by the Fairport Harbor Historical Society to give the ghost cat a name. The winning entry? "Sentinel". | A more recent picture of the house | Hi Jared! Hi Jensen! ::Waves:: Offering a simple thank you for all that you've given to us (through both your amazing work on Supernatural and in sharing your precious personal time with us at conventions around the world) just doesn't seem like enough. This fund raising campaign has not only given us the chance to support a valuable and deserving organization, it has also allowed us the opportunity to show you how much we appreciate *you*. And we do-so very much. You guys rock!! From Alisa Heflin in Madison, OH

Winchester Mystery House - San Jose, California Sarah Winchester, widow and heiress to the Winchester Rifle fortune, began a construction project in 1884 that would last for 38 years, until her death. The Victorian mansion, which originally had only 8 rooms, grew to 160 rooms filled with many unexplained oddities. It is also believed to be haunted by many of the hundreds of souls who lost their lives to a Winchester Rifle. | Amazing Facts about the Winchester House Courtesy of http://www.winchestermysteryhouse.com/ •Number of rooms: 160 •Cost: $5,500,000 •Date of Construction: 1884 - September 5, 1922 (38 continuous years!) •Number of stories: Prior to 1906 Earthquake - 7; presently 4 •Number of acres: Originally 161.919; presently 4 | •Number of basements: 2 •Heating: Steam, forced air, fireplaces •Number of windows: Frames 1,257; panes approx. 10,000 •Number of doors: Doorways 467, doors approx. 950 not including cabinet doors. •Number of fireplaces: 47 (gas, wood, or coal burning) | Photos taken by Liana

Alcatraz Island, San Francisco, California The island has been nicknamed "The Rock." Alcatraz Island, originally called "La Isla de los Alcatraces," was named after the Brown Pelican seen in the area by Spanish explorers. Today the Western Gull and the Brandt's Cormorant are the most common wildlife found on Alcatraz Island, and many areas are off limits during nesting season since The Rock now also serves as a bird sanctuary. | Alcatraz Island offers visitors a close-up look at the site of the first lighthouse and US fort on the West Coast, the infamous federal penitentiary long off-limits to the public, and the 18-month occupation by Indians of All Tribes. Along with the concrete and bars, there is also a natural side to the Rock - gardens, tide pools, bird colonies, and breathtaking views of the bay... how ironic that freedom was so close and yet so far! The Rock, housing both the famous and infamous, is very rich in history. And of course, the rumors of spirits roaming around and the stories that accompany these rumors, are not only still rampant but also very convincing! The solitude and confinement for the majority of the day in cells that are barely the width of an arm span, was certain to create some restless and angry spirits along the way. | Photos provided by Liana

My best friend Lanie (incidentally, the one who got me into 'Supernatural' in the first place), her mom, her little sister and her best friend were driving down the back road behind their house in the country when the truck in front of them lost a tire and it bounced up and hit their car. Lanie swerved, and her car flipped seven times before landing upside down in the trench beside the road. The two people in the backseat were thrown around like ragdolls because they didn't have seat belts on. When the car finally stopped rolling, Lanie kicked out the side window and crawled out of the car to call 911. After all was said and done, absolutely no one had a single injury. The worst thing that had happened to anyone was a little bit of bruising and Lanie had a cut on her leg from kicking out the window. The car was absolutely totaled and the responding firemen said that they had no idea how anyone in that car wasn't very seriously injured or killed. So a week later, I took this picture. It's Lanie's hand, all bandaged up.. as seen through the burnt-out remains of the car window. We wrote 'alive' in the soot that was mucking up the glass from the inside to celebrate the complete unlikeliness of that fact. Even to this day, we joke that Castiel must've been in the backseat to keep them all safe, because there is no reason why in a wreck like that, out of four people in a car, no one got more than a bruise. That's why I think the picture is very powerful and also very scary, and it reminds us all to appreciate life because you never know what could happen in the next moment. | From Amanda Rebholz in Waco, Texas, USA I think that you two are completely incredible in every way. Your acting is fabulous and you give back so much to every one of your fans, the least we could do was give back to you guys' charities. I work in animal rescue myself and worked at a nonprofit spay/neuter clinic for years, and my dog Charley is a rescue who travels with me on cross-country road trips all the time (I'm a freelance writer). He's probably my best friend and the most unconditionally loving creature I've ever met. I donated to A Dog's Life as much as I could spare because I believe in this cause and I think you two are WONDERFUL examples for spreading the word... some celebrities have little dogs they pay thousands of dollars for, but you guys have rescues and encourage others to do the same. Such great role models. Not to mention you're both Texas boys, and I have to support the locals. :) Much love, and please keep doing what you do. I love you guys, and best wishes for you both!

From Julene "Tigershire" Warwick in Victoria, BC Canada Animals have always been near and dear to my heart. My horse had been destined for the meat truck himself but instead we are just shy of the 8 year anniversary of our partnership. I look at him and think of how easily it could have been that no one would have known this wonderful (and cheeky) fellow. So to be able to support a great society as A Dog's Life Rescue and do it in the name of my favourite show and its two very talented leads, well...no contest. Thank you to you both, Jared and Jensen, for all you give to the fans. This is just our way of giving a little something back. | According to the book, Michelle Remembers, a satanic coven met here in the 50's to practice their dark arts. In the book, little Michelle is placed inside the mausoleum as part of a re-birthing ceremony. There's a picture of the mausoleum in the book, but only the back is shown. Here is the front. | Information and pictures obtained from: http://members.shaw.ca/imaginarycrimes/michelleremembers.htm | Michelle Remembers sparks a witch hunt "The satanic investigation began with one child... who had been interviewed many times (over a ten month period) without ever mentioning anything about ritual abuse or "bad churches." But shortly after several Kern County (California) social workers returned from a training seminar that hyped devil worship as a major element in child molestation (the discredited "true" story of satanic abuse, Michelle Remembers, was offered up as training material), this girl began speaking of it during the now-familiar suggestive interviews that were standard practice at the time. In short order, other victims began spouting similar stories, never mentioned in earlier interviews. The kids were all placed in the same county shelter for abused children, where they were seen by the same therapist, who firmly believed a huge satanic conspiracy was afoot in Kern County... The resulting stories were remarkably similar: Children had been forced to drink blood, to eat human flesh, to submit sexually to monstrous characters in dark robes... Eighty-five more adults were ultimately implicated, and more than sixty children came to be identified as victims, with many taken from their families... "

Some of the animals who have been helped through this campaign | Little Bernie was found wandering the streets of South Los Angeles. | Aslan, the kitty to the right, is from the feral colony the rescue cares for. Julia saw that Aslan was very sick so caught him and rushed him to the vet. The vet told Julia she thought Aslan should be put down because he was in such bad shape, Julia kept fighting for Aslan and now, after a many nights in at the vet, has made a full recovery and looking for a home. | Berrie was the dog that was living in a crawl space under an apartment complex for 3 months after being dumped by owners. He is a sweet boy and ready for adoption. | Coco, on the left, was brought to the shelter in a box. She was very sick with Parvo so Lisa grabbed her and rushed her to the vet. She is now happy, healthy and in a loving home.

Sawyer, above, had Parvo and was left at a vet by owners who didn't want to pay for his treatment. Our vet called us and we took Sawyer on. Our vet nursed him back to health and now Sawyer is now a healthy, playful puppy and ready for a home. | Ladybug is a sweet little kitty. When we found her she was so malnourished. We heard her hoarse cries for help and discovered her so weak she could barely walk. She certainly can walk now. She is affectionate, playful and easy going. She gets a long well with everyone. | Redford, above, was turned into us because his owner had a baby and couldn't give Redford the time and exercise he needs. Redford loves to play and hike. He is now with our trainer waiting for his forever home. | Mika, below, was found in an alley at just two weeks of age by a young man walking home from school. The boy's mom contacted A Dog's Life Rescue for help because Mika is a special needs puppy. Mika is paralyzed from the butt down so she will need a very special home. She plays and has normal puppy energy and is a great cuddler.
