1: June 28, 2011 You came over to Grammy's house at about 6:30 a.m. Your Daddy and Mommy are driving 80 pair over west so we get to play! While you were here you were saying so many more words than I had put in your last book. Here are a few more words that you can say: cracker, wah wah, (water), clock, PaPa, Plus you can point out most of the animals and other things that are in your Farm Book. For some reason, you really like the spider!

2: It's just a few days before your first birthday and you and your Daddy are reading about how Scooby Doo celebrates his birthday with a party. Your Mommy has a big party planned just for you! | JUNE 2011 | Helping PaPa check the cattle markets! Why does he have such a "death grip" on your little arm?

3: You silly're playing with the refrigerator magnets. Dumping them all out on the floor, and then having Grammy pick them back up! What Fun!

5: Aubrey......can you say L i i i i i ght | Yes you can! | You don't really say the word LIGHT, but you over exaggerate the L with your tongue. And you're pointing at the know exactly what we're talking about

7: Your Papa had absolutely no experience what so ever at putting a head band on a little girl. But he was giving it his best shot. As you can see you were not being very cooperative. It's a good thing you're pretty cute and don't really need a head band anyway!

8: July 6, 2011 Your Mommy and Daddy planned a birthday party for you. Your dress was from Gr'ma Natalie, and you looked like a little princess in it. You're starting to walk with help. You were the sweetest Birthday Girl, Grammy has ever seen!

23: Aunt Beth brought her grandkids, Kaylen and Cooper Barth to visit. It happened to be at exactly the same time that the Dragon Flies were visiting as well. Kaylen was scared to death of them, and really just wanted to go back inside. You and Cooper liked them! | Dragon Fly

26: July 2011 Your Daddy had a ruptured colon and had to go to Norfolk and was in the hospital for a few days. You and your Mommy stayed at Aunt Beth and Uncle Michael's so you could visit your Daddy every day

28: It's August, and you've been walking for over a month now, but we haven't had a chance to go for a walk, so today, that's what we're going to do! | We're heading out to see what there is to see! | The first thing that you find are some rocks! And you are wanting to stick them in your pockets...or Grammy's pockets! | Aubrey's First Walk With Grammy

29: Why does it take becoming a Grandparent to discover how interesting the rocks are in your driveway? | Aubrey, you're not running away from your Grammy are you?

30: We picked this Hibiscus from Grammy's flower bed. It is bigger than your little head! They are really beautiful this year!

34: Beck Herrington brings her grandson, Jake Kohle over to your Mommy's house for coffee every now and then. It's always fun for the two Grandmas to watch you and Jake interact.

36: Grammy got a new Dora outfit for you, and I couldn't wait for you to try it on. We had to put a matching clippy in your hair. You don't like clippies as much as Grammy does, but that's okay. You go along with me, and you get to do a lot of fun things....if you just keep the clippy in your hair!

39: SEPTEMBER 2011 You are just 14 months old and yet you brought my reading glasses to me along with your favorite Dora book and said, "Wead." You know Grammy can't "wead" without her glasses!

40: October 2011 It's Homecoming at RCHS and Aunt Beth, Cooper, and Kaylen were here. We got all dressed up and went to the parade. Uncle Cameron was a homecoming candidate

42: October 2011 You really like the Dora Nap Mat that Aunt Beth found for you. My wish for you, Aubrey, is that you will always be "throw your legs up in the air" happy!!!

50: LIVING LIFE Life is not a race - but indeed a journey. Work hard. Be choosy. Say "Thank you", "I Love You", and "Great Job" to someone each day. Go to church, take time for prayer. 51: November 2011 We spent the day in town at Clarice's town house. It was such a nice day that we even got to go outside. Uncle Kent rode his horse to town. And some people got to ride around town.

53: We celebrated Christmas at Thanksgiving with Aunt Rennae and her family. Rennae is so creative, she made a HUGE stuffed cow, just for you! When your Daddy was little, she made a stuffed Sylvester the Cat for him. Your Aunt Rennae is Awesome!

54: She stood in the storm, And when the wind did not blow her away....... She adjusted her sails Elizabeth Edwards

55: Early in December 2011, Aubrey and I went to ONeill to see the doctor about the possibility of a new baby arriving. The nurses had to draw blood and go through all the other basics and Aubrey was not loving it. She was scared and worried about why they were poking and prodding her mommy. When Dr. Allison pulled out his laptop, she began screaming KaGa!, because she watches her Dora show on her grandmas computer. I explained to the Dr. that she has always had a special name for Dora. It began as Kaka, and had thankfully developed to KaGa by this point. When we finally left the office, she was clutching her Dora doll in her hands and walking tentatively beside me, still in disbelief that Dr. Allison had not shared his computer for her entertainment. She seemed to be walking slower than normal and was transfixed by a Hispanic woman with her three daughters who were sitting in the waiting room. They were speaking Spanish and smiling warmly at Aubrey, who I was now nearly dragging along the floor as she was walking so slowly. When we walked past the children, she stopped, gently touched the smallest girls cheek and whispered, "KaGa." All of a sudden, she shrilly screamed "KaGa" at the top of her lungs and tackled the little girl. I was apologizing and pulling her away while the mother and girls were laughing and smiling, thankfully. We made it halfway down the hall before she jerked away from my hand, spun around and was back hugging her real live Dora. I picked her up by the waist and hauled her out of the hospital screaming, "KaGa, KaGa," at the top of her lungs. When we got back to the car and I was strapping her into the seat, she became very quiet and with complete awe kept repeating, "Mommy, KaGa!" Aubrey truly had a special day when she got to meet Miss Dora in person. | Aubrey Meets a Real, Live Dora! written by your Mommy

56: Tis the Season | Aunt Beth bought this dress for you to wear during the month of December. You looked so darn cute and you got so much good out of it. Aunt Beth is the best shopper ever!

60: Like friends, It's the Old Ornaments that mean the most.

61: We went to church on Christmas Eve, and then came back to our house for a prime rib supper. We opened presents and then your Mommy said, "I think we need to go change Aubrey". I thought they needed to change your diaper, so I went out to the kitchen to clean up a little. I heard you guys come back into the living room, and pretty soon you came out and touched my legs, and I turned around to scoop you up, and I read your shirt.....BIG SISTER! And Grammy said "Oh, my Goodness"! You had been running around in the living room, and no one else had noticed what your Mommy had written on your shirt. Your Mommy said, "I knew Grandma would notice". We are thrilled, and know you will make the best big sister ever!

62: Family Pictures We needed to take family pictures for the Centennial Book. It was so nice out on Christmas Day 2011 that we were outside without coats on. Not many days in Nebraska.....that you can do that!

63: You've got to Move it Move it.... You've got to Shake it Shake it!!!!

64: Heirloom Rocking Chair This is the rocking chair that your Great Great Aunt Carol Snell wanted you to have. She had it shipped to the're such a lucky little girl to have so many people that love you!

67: COWGIRL UP | I love the fact that you like to play with the barn and farm animals that your Daddy played with when he was a little boy. You have a Hereford bull, a Mommy cow, and a Baby cow that are always the first ones out of the barn!

68: A Tradition Begins...... | February 2012 We are going to take a picture of your hand and your Daddy's hand every year until you get married. So in...oh.....30 or 40 will be interesting to see how they both change through the years!

69: February 3, 2012 Cameron's 18th Birthday

71: February 2012 | Aunt Beth came for a visit and brought Lily. You loved strolling her around. It's always fun when Aunt Beth is here!

77: Sharing M & M's with PaPa Cameron brought home your Valentine's gift from Great Gr'ma Clarice. We had so much fun....and you were such a good girl. You shared your candy with everyone...especially PaPa!

80: This quote came from "The Help" which is a book and movie set in the South in the 1960's. It deals with how poor black women were treated by the rich white women that they worked for. I love this quote that Aibileen would repeat to all the white children that she raised because their own Mothers were too busy to deal with them. I'm glad your Mommy and Daddy always have time for you. And you IS all these things and more, Aubrey! | You is kind.... | You is smart.... | You is important....

81: Oh, Papa You and Papa have a very special relationship. The funniest thing that you two do is when Papa "accidentally" burps. Your little face just lights up and you say "Papa...,burps.....'cuse me. Oh Papa!" Your Papa and I have had more laughs during those little mishaps than you can imagine!

82: Hunt Eggs, pease Grammy?How can you say no to that sweet little face? Of course we'll hunt eggs! | Papa has the eggs hidden....let's go hunt us some eggs Aubrey! | I found one Grammy! | Cool One, the kitty, wants to help hunt eggs too! | I think I see some deer poop! | Hunt Eggs Pease!

83: Grabbing for the pink egg, while your eyes are already scoping out the blue one! | Let's Hunt Eggs Again! | Can you count the eggs Aubrey? "One, two, three, nine, ten!" Yep, we found them all!

87: March 2012 | You went to the Doctor with your Mommy this month. She said that you just squealed when you heard the heartbeat. And when the baby heard your's little heart beat sped up! Sounds like the baby is getting excited to meet you Aubrey!

88: The Dora Easter Basket Aunt Beth didn't like the ice cream bucket that we were using for your Easter eggs, so she mailed a Dora Easter Basket! What would we ever do without your Aunt Beth?!?!?

103: It's the day after Cameron's High School Graduation. We went to church and he was presented with a Bible. Since it was Mother's Day, and Rennae and Kayla were still here we went out to eat at the Range Cafe. Then we went over to Grandma Clarice's town house and you spent the day entertaining all of us. We had lemonade and Coke floats. It was a good day!

106: The New Sandbox Grammy decided to turn one of her flowerbeds into a sandbox for you. Cameron and Payton shoveled the dirt out and Papa helped me get the sand. It was a little bit of a struggle, because Papa wanted to just pull the tractor over my lawn and dump the dirt in......I didn't like that idea so much! So we shoveled sand over the fence for awhile........and then rather than have a "heart attack" Grammy had to admit that maybe driving the tractor across the lawn wasn't such a bad idea after all! | SANDCASTLES | CRABS | TURTLES | STAR FISH

107: You were at Grammy's house last night because your Daddy was down South and your Mommy went to Rose to practice the play. We were playing in your new sandbox, and Papa was getting ready to leave in the Ranger, and I said, "Where do you think Papa is going?" And you said, "Church!" So we talked about Bible had just been there last week. And I asked you if you learned any songs and you started singing, "This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made. 108: "The Real House Wives of Rock County" June 1, 2012 - Rose, Nebraska

109: Your Mommy and Daddy were in a play to help the Q125 committee raise money for next year's celebration. You got to stay with Grammy a few nights when they practiced at Rose. Aunt Tara and Uncle Eric watched you the night of the performance so Grammy could see it.......I am so proud of your parents. They did an awesome job!

110: June 2012 Above you and Cameron are reading a Scooby Doo book. I have no idea why you have a Hereford bull in your lap, but I guess that's between you and Uncle Cameron! In the far right pictures, you are watching an episode of Dora and eating Cheerios with Your Friends!

111: Your Mommy is picking Ann Dvorak up from Omaha so you are staying with Grammy. I have to play the organ for church so Great Grandma Clarice is going with us so you'll have someone to sit with.

114: Playing Keep Away From Aubrey Not on Grammy's Watch! | Cameron got a huge frisbee for graduation so we decided to take it outside and to see how it flies | And everything went along pretty well.....for a while..... | Until the guys decided to play "Keep away from Aubrey"! Look at you....holding your little arms out saying, "Throw me, Papa, throw me?!?!?" Pitiful!

115: So, Grammy told them they had to share the frisbee with you. I love the little smile on your know that Grammy's going to get that frisbee for you!

116: Carney Park in O'Neill, NE Your Daddy and Mommy were getting a new mattress from Nebraska Furniture Mart and they were going to deliver it to Pamida in O'Neill. Aunt Beth and I were meeting up in O'Neill for the day, so we all ended up in the same place that day. Your Mommy also had a Dr's appointment, so you came with me and Aunt Beth. We went to the park and played on the merry-go-round, the monkey bars, the slide, played in the sandbox, and threw a frisbee. We also checked out the train car that sets in the park. Then we met your parents at Dairy Queen and had ice cream!
