3: Mesopotamia *Mesopotamia had a Religious Control Government. *The Mesopotamians learned that wheels and boats made transportation easier. *Mesopotamia is located between the Tigris and Emprates rivers. *The Mesopotamians were polytheistic. *The people in Mesopotamian wrote in Cuneiform. *THe Tigris and Emprates rivers usually flooded and created silt. (Fertile Soil) *Mesopotamia had no natural barriers for protection against invaders. *In one of the Mesopotamian city, Sumer, the natural resources were limited. *The word Mesopotamia comes from a Greek word that means "land between the rivers" *The Mesopotamians built city walls with mud bricks.

5: Egypt *The Pharaoh was the one who ruled over Egypt. *Egypt created the first writing paper. (Papyrus) *Egypt was located near the Nile River. *The Egyptians were polytheistic. (They belived in many gods) *The Egyptians wrote in Hieroglyphics. *The Nile River flows South to North. *Egypt was divided into the upper and lower kingdom until 3,000 BC when they united. *Egyptians used mummification to perserve bodies. *Egypt is surrounded by a dessert. *Egypt is ruled by a Theocracy government. (Government based on religion)

7: Indus Valley *Indus Valley is located between the Indus and Ganges rivers. *The people from Indus created an ancient form of plumming and sewage systems. *The Indus Valley had a strong central government. *The people from Indus were Hindus. *The Indus Valley had a language that looked similar to Hieroglyphics. This language has been impossible to decipher because linguist have not found any inscriptions that are bilingual. *Indus had monsoons. (Seasonal winds that either bought rain or dry winds. *The Indus Valley was located south of the Himalayas mountains. *The Indus Valley people planned Cities on a grid system. *Indus is a subcontinent. *The Indus and Ganges rivers sometimes change courses.

9: China *The emperor was incharge of China. *The Chinese had flood control. * China is located between the Yellow and Yangtze rivers. *The Chinese were polytheistic. *The Chinese writing had a character for each syllable. *China has the Himalayas mountains to the north. *The Chinese saw their culture as the center of the cilized world. *China had the Gobi Dessert to the left. *The Chinese belived in Feudalism. *The family was central.
