3: ABOUT THE EVENT | Thoroughbred: A Day at the Races is more than just an event; it is a post-modern daytime extravaganza of elegant proportions. Simply stated, Thoroughbred is a replica of a good old-fashioned day of couture, exquisite craft beverages and societal flair. Guests begin planning their smart and creative ensembles months in advance, many now traveling abroad to acquire the perfect look for the red carpet and the cigar lounge. Each year the producers endeavour to add new interactive and experiential focal points, from the addition of the champagne picnic grounds to the custom-built, French-style petanques pitch, yet it is always and truly the fantastic crowd that make it such a memorable affair. We are proud to have recently announced the addition of Face of Today as our official charitable recipient, granting guests the opportunity to donate via the delectable $100 Woodford Reserve specialty Mint Julep cocktail. With great thanks to the entire support team involved, as well as our amazing brand partners, we excitedly gallop forward into next year; expanding our horizons of what it means to spend a fabulous afternoon at the track.
