1: Don't click on a link that was randomly sent to you from someone.
2: Notice ever-so-slightly misspelled versions of well-known URLS.
3: Don't click on a link that was sent to you by a business you don't know.
4: Avoid using the same website for both your web-based and as you search engine.
5: Do not provide email address to mail lists unless you need to do so.
6: Take yourself off of any list servers or websites that you do not regularly use.
7: Limit the number of time you click on ads, no matter what they are for.
