MY LIFE IN SHORT | BY: Derek 8th Grade Computer
This is dedicated to all the crazy people who make my life interesting.
Table of contents: Page 4: Irony Page 5: External Conflict Page 6: Climax Page 7: Symbolism Page 8: Foreshadowing Page 9: Static/flat character
IRONY: My Brother was worried about riding my cousin's golf cart. And, after begging him to try riding it for a week, he finally gets on, where he falls off it and gets a concussion.
EXTERNAL CONFLICT: When I was 3, I was tackled by my cousin's dog. After shocking it several times with its shock collar, it eventually gave up, when I ran away (worst idea ever.) It then tackled me again which gave me a temporary fear of dogs.
CLIMAX: | One day, when my mom was going to drive me home from school. She saw one of her friends across the street, and went to go talk to her. Now, I was only 4 at the time, so I didn't know better than to cross the street after my mom just when Mrs. Carricato drove by. The climax of the story was when I saw the car coming and thought I was going to die (of course, I didn't however.)
SYMBOLISM: | One day when I was 5, my parents told me I was going to Disney World. I was really excited all week, expecting to have the best time of my life. However, the morning of the day we were going, I threw up twice before our flight. That symbolized the horrible experience I was going to have on vacation because I was throwing up all week and had a miserable time.
FORESHADOWING: 2 years ago for Halloween, I went as Darth Vader I only made it around 2 blocks, and barely got enough candy to fill the bottom of my bucket. And, of course, the candy I got was all crappy candies like candy corn and whoppers. This foreshadowed that that was my last year for trickortreating.
STATIC/FLAT CHARACTERS: there are several people in my life that are flat characters. One is my cousin, Brandon. He acts exactly the same as he did when he was 2 years old, and he is currently 12. He acts silly, and obnoxious every once in a while, and hasn't changed a bit.
