S: Our story
Some of the fun and funny things that we had in common | We went to the same dentist Our fathers knew each other We both grew up in North Little Rock We went to the same pediatrician One of my longest friends was also friends with Jeff Our mothers were both school teachers My best friends Mother, Linda Schmidt, mentioned many years earlier that I needed to go out with Jeff after she saw him on the news one night. | We discovered that we knew many of the same people Our Dads were both preachers We bought our first cars from the same individual
How We Met: Believe it or not, e-harmony.com introduced us. I had been on-line for a year. Jeff....well lets say all it took him was about 24 hours. These are the first 3 pictures I saw of him. Ok, well other than remembering him from Channel 7 News.
Sender: Jeff Subject: Hi there! Date: 01/20/2009 Well, if I met you through friends or at a work event...I would probably launch into what could only be considered a well-devised, complicated and debonair plan to woo you into accepting an invitation to dinner. And since right now I don't know of any common acquaintances (although I'm fairly sure some exist) who I can endlessly pester to find out about more about you....I'll skip straight to the invitation. Would you have dinner (or lunch) with me in a well lit, well populated restaurant that is easily accessible and well known by your best friend in case you need a quick exit because you found out something about me that would necessitate a quick end to our first meeting....like the fact that I commonly won't eat anything in which I can actually see an onion or mushroom? Wow that may be the longest and most horribly structured sentence I've ever written, as well as the goofiest. See what you do to me already? I would, however, prefer to launch my complicated plan by using my voice to ask you to lunch or dinner. Think about it, and if you feel comfortable in moving forward out from under the watchful eye of Dr. Neil Clark Warren....my mobile number is (501)349-1006. Star 69 your number or whatever you feel you need to do....or we'll continue via harmony-mail for a while. I understand. I want you to feel completely comfortable and safe. I lost a little sleep last night after I read your note. Thank you.
Sender: Judy Subject: Hi there... Date 01/20/2009 Message: I know. Nothing about this seems natural, huh? I would like an opportunity to get to know you better. So where do we start? :) Night. | Sender: Jeff Subject: To be honest... Date: 01/20/2009 Message: Dear Judy To be honest, everything I've thought about writing so far has sounded like a "line". Good grief, even as I write that...it sounds like one. I would appreciate the opportunity to begin an open conversation with you, to be able to tell you what I found so attractive in your Devil's Den photo that matched something in your profile. I'm new at this, having a bit of uneasiness in some of the pre-determined buckets I sense I'm being inserted into by the "guided" communication. Some of these things can only be appreciated during the normal journey of discovery...something I would hate to miss. I would also be honored, however....if you would like to continue in the guided fashion. Have a great day! Jeff
Here are the first pictures he saw of me.
Our first date was lunch at US Pizza on Kavanaugh. Our second date was hiking on Mount Nebo and then dinner at Whatta Burger in Russellville. We then played Yahtzee and other card games at my house. It was a 13 hour date. This was the only picture we have to remember the day. Quite a few of the trails were closed due to a recent snow and ice storm that caused tree limbs to be down. | XOXO | January 19, 2009

We were hiking back from the waterfall and noticed another couple that had stopped and were watching something. We realized it was a deer. We stood there very close to the deer for a long while. 21: One of the homes that has been preserved from the early settlers in Cades Cove.
While in Cades Cove you can drive slowly around the road and look for animals. We saw a momma bear and her two cubs. We also saw lots of deer. I was standing on the seat of the car with my head through the open sun roof taking pictures.
Neither of us had ever been white water rafting. We decided to experience it while we were on this trip. It was on the Upper Pigeon and was really fun! My back didn't appreciate it the next day though. But no one in our raft fell out!
