 Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time there was little girl who lived in a village near a forest. Every time she went out she wore a red riding cloak, so she was called Little Red Riding Hood. One morning, Little Red Riding Hood asked her mother if she could go to visit her grandmother. "That's a good idea," her mother said, and they packed a nice basket for Little Red Riding Hood to take to her grandmother.

"Remember, go straight to Grandma's house," her mother cautioned. "Don't dilly dally along the way and please don't talk to strangers! The woods are dangerous." "Don't worry, mommy," said Little Red Riding Hood, "I'll be careful." And she kissed her mother goodbye.

On the way to her grandmother's house, Little Red stopped to pick some beautiful flowers, forgetting her promise to her mother. She was enjoying the warm summer day so much, she didn't notice the shadow creeping up from behind.

Suddenly, a wolf appeared beside her and he asked with a friendly smile, “What are you doing out here little girl.” “I'm on my way to see my grandma who lives by the brook,” Little Red replied. She then realized that it was getting late and she needed to get to her grandmother's house quick. Meanwhile, the sneaky wolf took a shortcut.

The wolf, out of breath, arrived at Little Red's grandmother's house and knocked on the door. Grandma, thinking it was Little Red, yelled from her bed, “Oh come in come in dear, the door is open.” So the wolf went in and within seconds the wolf gobbled the poor granny up!

After the wolf was satisfied, he put on one of Granny's nightgowns knowing Little Red was coming and he could have his seconds. A few minutes later, Little Red Riding Hood knocked on the door. “Who is it,” said the wolf. “It's me, Little Red Riding Hood,” said Little Red. “Oh please come in dear,” said the wolf in a croaked voice.

When Little Red Riding Hood entered the house, she felt like something was odd about her grandmother. “Grandmother!” said Little Red, “why does your voice sound so odd.” “Oh, I think I might have caught a cold,” squeaked the wolf with a touch of cough. “And Grandmother, what big ears you have,” Little Red questioned the wolf again. “The better to hear you with, my dear,” replied the wolf. “But what big eyes you have,” Little Red said again. “The better to see you with, my dear,” the wolf replied again.

“And Grandmother, what big teeth you have,” Little Red said. “THE BETTER TO EAT YOU WITH, MY DEAR,” roared the wolf and he began to chase Little Red all over the house.

Little Red finally realized that the person in the bed was not her grandmother, but a hungry wolf. She ran around and around the house jumping from room to room shouting, “HELP! HELP!”

A nearby woodsman heard her cry and ran into the house. He grabbed the wolf and forced him to spit out Granny, who was still in one piece, and then tossed the wolf far into the woods.

The Three Little Pigs | The wolf lost consciousness and fell in to a deep sleep.

When he woke up he felt out of sorts and terribly famished. So he went the other direction away from grandmother's house to look for more food.

When he got to the end of the path he saw an open lot with 3 pigs building 3 houses. The wolf saw this as an open opportunity to fill his belly, but he wanted to be careful and not let this prey get away too. So the wolf watched from the bushes waiting and listening for the right time to strike.

“I'm building my house out of straw because that is the easiest to do and my house will be great,” said the first pig. “Well I'm building my house out of sticks and my house will be stronger,” said the second pig. “But I'm building my house of bricks and it will be the best of the 3 houses,” said the third pig.

The pigs worked on building their houses for the rest of the day and when night came all three house were fully built. Each pig went into their own house to rest for the night, each feeling better than the other. Late in the night, the wolf, which fell asleep watching the pigs, got up and approached the straw house.

The wolf said, “Little Pig, Little Pig, let me in!” The pig frightened said, “Not by the hair of my chiny chin chin.” The wolf said, “I will huff and puff and blow your house down.” But the pig didn't let the wolf in.

So the wolf huffed, and puffed and blew the house down, but before the wolf can catch his breath, the pig escaped to the stick house and knocked on the door.

“There's a wolf trying to eat me, please let me in brother,” said the first pig. The second pig let his brother in and blocked off the door.

When the wolf caught his breath he went over to the stick house and knocked on the door. The wolf said, “Little Pigs, Little Pigs, let me in!” The pigs said, “Not by the hair of our chiny chin chins” The wolf said, “Then I will huff and puff and blow your house down.” But the pigs wouldn't let the wolf in.

So the wolf huffed, and puffed and blew the house down, but before the wolf can catch his breath, the pigs escaped to the brick house and knocked hard on the door.

“There's a wolf trying to eat us, please let us in brother,” said the pigs. The third pig let his brothers in and blocked off the door with some left over bricks.

The wolf walked over to the brick house and knocked angrily on the door. “Little Pigs, Little Pigs, let me in!” said the wolf. “Not by the hair of our chiny chin chins,” said the pigs.

The wolf replied, “Then I will huff and puff and blow your house down.” Feeling impatient, the wolf did just that but the house wouldn't budge. So the wolf tried again, but the house still didn't move.

The pigs were thrilled and the wolf felt defeated. Suddenly, the wolf came up with an idea as he stared at the chimney.

Meanwhile, the pigs in the house were cold, so the third pig decided to make hot chocolate. He put a pot above the fire in the chimney to boil some water. As the pigs talked around the fire they heard a noise. Frightened as they were, they looked around the house to find the source of the noise.

As the pigs looked around, the wolf slid down the chimney not knowing that there was a pot of boiling water below. Then there was a thud and then a yelp and the pigs rushed to the chimney. There was the wolf patting his butt and screaming.

He ran out of the house so fast that the pigs didn't have time to be scared or even say a word. That was the last time the three pigs ever saw that wolf and they all lived happily together in the brick house.
