BC: God Bless You & Keep You

FC: "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson | to the Graduate

Dane, This is it, the beginning of the rest of your life! We are so proud of you and have complete and total confidence that you will do great things! Go out and shine like the stars in the universe! philippians 2:13-15 | We love you! Dad, Mom & Mason

We are | Good Friends last a lifetime!

Ohh, Dane. I remember our first day of kindergarten together. We were standing out side of Mrs. Cotton's room and we were both so scared and shy. Our moms knew each other so I knew right away we would become the best of friends. ( I just knew it! haha) We sat at different tables . I was at a blue table and you were at a green. I only remember this because i just thought you did not want to be my friend. But! Even though we sat at different tables we became the best of friends. I remember we would always dress up in my mom’s prom dresses! How embarrassing.. lol. And you always wore my moms wedding veil. In first grade we started to stay the night with each other more and more. The number one rule, however, was that we had to do whatever the guest wanted to do. And i know for a fact we both hated that stupid rule. We would always get in fights and get in trouble by our parents. I absolutely hated that rule. I was so upset when I moved schools to LBJ. I was so scared that I would lose you as a friend and that I would have no friends at school. I literally thought my life would be ruined. It was a depressing moment of mine. BUT, we stayed friends anyway and ended up having that awesome End-of School party at my house. Then Junior high came! I was so so excited that we would reunite at the same school. We went through a lot in junior high. We got in fights, and we even stopped talking to each other for awhile. Even though all that had happened we still remained friends and we came out strong. Now we’re in high school and about to graduate! We’ve been dreaming of this day forever it seems like. We are about to go to different schools, again, but this time I am not scared that we will not remain friends. I know we will remain friends. We have different groups of friends, we have been separated from each other, and we have been in a million fights. There is no way college will defriend us. Thank you so much for always being there for me when others were not. && Thank you for being my friend for 13 years and counting<3 I love you! Autumn

Dear Daney, I don't even know where to start! I can't believe its already time to graduate! The last 5 years I have been your best friend have been the best years of my life haha! Thank you for sticking with me through thick and thin. Every day I feel unbelievably blessed to have you in my life as my best friend. I truly don't know where I'd be without you! It's going to be so hard without you next year but I know you're a friend that I will never grow apart from. So hurry up and find that rich husband so we can open our cupcake shop and live the good life! Love you so much!! Love, Morgy Porgy | Dear Dane, I knew that you were special the first time that I met you when you were in 7th grade. You have been a blessing to our family and especially to Morgan. Every parent prays for their child to have a friend like you. Every time I am around you, you make me smile with your joyful laugh and happy outlook. As you go to college I wish the very best for you. I look forward to visits when you are home. I think of how lucky your new roommate will be. I am so excited, and sad at the same time for the next chapter in your's and Morgan's lives. I'm so honored to know such a special young lady. Our family loves you very much. Love, Joyce

We will always be here for you, never more than a phone call away or a quick trip if needed. Love you & so excited to see where this journey leads.

Texas Tech! Go Red Raiders! We are so excited you picked Tech! Love, Brad, Staci , Ally & Ethan | Other things may change us, but we start and end with the family. ~Anthony Brandt

Always remember, you have within you the strength the patience and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world. - Harriet Tubman | Dane, We are so blessed to have watched you grow from this sweet girl to a beautiful woman! We are so excited for you as you head off to college! God has great plans for you! We can’t wait to what the future has in store for you!!! Always remember that we are only a phone call away if you ever need anything! ~Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord you God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9~ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11~ We love you, Josh, Adria, Aaron, Peyton and Garrison

Dane is an amazing friend who is there to catch me when I fall and there to lift me up when I succeed. Dane is also like a mother, she will keep me in line by whatever means possible and love me for who I am no matter what! Scotty | I love your smile, and you always walk into a room with a huge smile on your face! You give great hugs every time I see you. I also love how you reach out to other people. Love you! Corry

Birthday Cupcakes are so much fun

We don't haveto know what Pappy said...LOL! | The family is one of nature's masterpieces. ~George Santayana

My Dearest Dane, What a joy and blessing you have been from the first time we saw you, a precious little baby girl with a halo of red hair shining through. And then the fun began! The joy grew each year from your Dad's buddies at A&M fondly referring to you as Night Train Dane, belly laughs with Tonya in our living room in Odessa, watering trees at the river, learning to drive the Mule and chauffeuring all your little cousins around, helping with VBS and engagement parties. We enjoyed coming to Odessa to attend choir concerts and tennis tournaments, our fun shopping trips to Fredericksburg and the exciting trip to San Antonio to find a prom dress. Don't forget the four wheeler races and the resulting stitches (maybe not so much fun), shooting turtles and feeding the goats and their babies. It was interesting watching you go through the process of selecting a college to attend and then wondering where the years have gone since seeing that tiny little girl for the the first time. You have grown into a beautiful young woman, not only beautiful on the outside, but most importantly, beautiful on the inside, with a strong faith in God. Your faith has been fed by the precious Christian family in which you have been raised, by dedicated parents who have been willing to devote the time and energy necessary to nurture their children and encourage them to go where the Lord leads them. We are so proud of you and the wonderful young woman you have become. We are so blessed to have such a special granddaughter with the most beautiful red hair in the whole world! You are so precious to us. Love, Grammy

Dear Dane, Greetings, salutations, congratulations and felicitations! You have made your family, friends, and well wishers proud. I take this opportunity to say "Well Done". This is one of the most memorable and eventful times in your life. From your first year in school to your final year, you have proven to be an exceptional student. I find you somewhat mischievous but that is a trait that I admire. You have been successful in all that you have attempted and it is said that "nothing succeeds like success", You will face new challenges and responsibilities now and I have no doubt that you will meet them head on. Your extraordinary up-bringing will make it difficult for you to fail at anything. Much hard work is ahead, especially in the classroom, but you are prepared for it. It will not be easy but the rewards will be many. I anticipate that your next few years will be some of the most enjoyable of your young life. I am proud of you. I love you and I salute you for what you have become. I wish you the best in your future achievements. Sincerely, Pappy

Good times! | Prom Time | Dane is the true definition of a friend. Hard for us to find but one were so blessed to have. I could not have gotten through the past couple of years without her. I love that Dane never judges, but is so quick to understand all the problems I've been dealt. She always stays long to give me advice and be a best friend. I love hanging out with Dane, just a good ole' funny cowgirl always having a good time! We have so much fun together and we always make each other laugh! I love our insiders, our cooking adventures and her crafty cupcakes! I love having a friend that wants to have and continue a stronger relationship with God. I love that she is so motivating and encouraging to help and make anyone have a better walk with him! Courtney

Good friends are the rare jewels of life... … difficult to find and impossible to replace. | Road Trippin

Friends are the chocolate chips in the cookies of life. | A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words. | Dane.... My fellow red head. You are always someone I can come and talk to and you have been an absolutely amazing friend to me these past few years. I usually don't get along with other red heads too well, but you're an exception. Thank you for everything you've done and for always being there for me. I love you dane. Matt

Friends Forever! | Friendship is the thread that ties our hearts together. | Daney dane dane. 20: You did it!

Dane, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Time has really flown - from a curly-haired little redhead to a beautiful young lady. As you enter this next chapter of your life there will no doubt be challenges, but just know who you are - "DANE MAHAN", a most capable, bright and charming young lady ready to tackle the world with the determination to be whoever you want to be. While these college years will be important to your future and should be taken seriously, don't fail to take the time to smell the roses. For this era will produce many experiences and some of your most cherished memories. Our hopes and thoughts will be with you all along the way. We love you, NaNaw and PaPaw | Dane, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Time has really flown - from a curly-haired little redhead to a beautiful young lady. 24: "It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are." | To my sweet, sweet Dane: I have tried several times to create a very sentimental note that would ultimately inspire you to conquer the world, BUT I CAN"T DO IT, Dane! I guess my hormones are getting the best of me right now! I get all teared up and then start bawling like a little baby. I can hardly stand the thought of not seeing your beautiful smile coming in my door on Wednesday for lunch. I can hardly stand the thought of not getting to hug you and kiss your sweet little face. It just doesn't seem like it's time to watch you walk across the stage and get your diploma. You have to know that I have loved every lunch, every laugh and every conversation whether serious or silly. Dane, one of the most important things that will happen is that you will have to start allowing the Lord to guide your steps like never before. You are going to have to use the same trust and the faith in the Lord, that your parents and I have. Live out all of the principles that you have in your heart. You are ready to do this, girlie! I love You, Dane Mahan! Much Love and Many Prayers, Kristi Porter

Dane, I am so proud to see the BEAUTIFUL woman that you have grown into! God has given you such amazing instincts. You are such a true blue friend with such a tender heart. You always notice those who would otherwise go unnoticed. You do naturally what others have to make themselves do. I love those things about you! I want to share a verse with you that I have shared many times before. It is the theme verse for our PJ girls. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23 EVERY thought, action, word and feeling flows from the heart. As you move further and further towards adulthood remember that truth! The last piece of advice I would like to give is this: Remember that everywhere you go there is a phone ready to video or take a picture so... BEHAVE! ;) Jill

Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. - Harvey Fierstein | Dane what can I say? You are to me what an eye patch and parrot is to a pirate. You are the hole in my donut. I am the pork, you are the beans. You make me want to vomit little chocolate hearts. You're so sweet your farts smell like vanilla. If you were frozen in Carbonite and taken by bounty hunters, I'd gladly disguise myself, infiltrate a fortress of intergalactic gangsters, threaten them with a thermal detonator, and defrost you myself. If you were in a horrible accident and they put your head in a saline solution-filled fish tank, Id feed you, change your water, and carry you on my back everyday until they built you a freakin' awesome robot body. I don't love you. I merely enjoy tolerating your existence immensely. You don't know it, but right here, right now, is the point in the musical montage part of the movie. Lets split a pretzel and go for a walk on the footbridge. Love, Austin :)..

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars. ~Les Brown

Dane, God has greatly blessed me by having you in my life! Your amazing personality is almost as big as your hair. You can lift up anyone with your fun and outgoing spirit. There is never a dull moment with you! We have had so many good times like camping in your backyard, Crudefest (the biggest concert to come to Odessa), the numerous church camps, our river trip, and all of the two stepping to “I Just Want To Dance With You”. You are going to be successful in whatever you end up doing with your life because of your amazing personality and dedication and hair. I hope you have an amazing time at Texas Tech and find you a cowboy you can marry! I love you and thank you for being such a great friend! “Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!” –Luke 1:45.. Ashley

Daner Waner, I am so proud of you! You have worked so hard to get to this point and you will continue to achieve great things. I am soo greatful i had the opportunity of meeting and becoming friends with you. You have been nothing but supporting and loving! I miss all our times we had together. I remember all the scary movies we made you watch (and of course your scared of scary movies) and we were at Morgans and Nick was standing at the window and scared you to death! I'm glad we had these times together. Now as you go off to college you will make lots of new friends and will be a light onto your peers. I love you and I wish you the best! Hailey White

Dane is a very unique person. She really loves people and that's what I find most "attractive" about her. She's always been there when I've needed a friend, and she always looks out for me. She has been a one of a kind friend and I've loved our years together! I'll miss you Daner! :) Love ya, girl! Carrie

"Wherever you go, go with all your heart." ~Confucius | ski trip 2010

Daner! Where do I begin? It has been a tremendous blessing watching you grow to be who you are today. I am so thankful that I have gotten to be a part of it, and this is only the beginning! I am excited to see what God has in store for you, and I am hoping to get many Dane-hugs in the process! You are one of the most kind, compassionate, and downright hilarious people I know! Know that I am praying for you, and your class of CPBC seniors that I have had the privilege to walk alongside, that you would continue to passionately pursue Christ, the one who gives life and also takes away. I am praying for you specifically to be faithful in the small things. God has and forever will work all things together for good, so have faith and don't lose heart! You hold a huge place in my heart, and I love you and your family very much! love, Rachael

Dane, I am so excited for you as you enter this new phase of your life. I know remarkable accomplishments are waiting for you in all that you do. I could go on and on about how precious you are to me but instead, I share with you the Bible verse that we put on Addison's birth announcement as I believe it fits you just as perfectly as it does her: Every good and perfect gift is from above...James 1:17. Congratulations and I love you, Aunt Kelly

Dane, Just wanted to say congratulations on graduation and good luck on your next chapter in life. Hope you have a great time at school, but not too good of a time. I really don't want to see you on A&E saying "Sneaky, sneaky". Seriously though, congrats and good luck. We are very proud of you. Love, Wade, Charlotte, and Tanner

You have had to be a good friend to have made and kept such great friends. May you always be blessed with amazing friendships in the future. | Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12

A friend loves at all times Proverbs 17:17

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass…It's about learning to dance in the rain. | Dane Elizabeth! Words wont even come close to expressing my joy in being your mom! I have loved every challenge and every victory that we've shared. You are an amazing young lady with beauty that goes way beyond pretty eyes and gorgeous hair! God has always had his hand on you and I do not doubt that as you embark on this next adventure called college, that He will continue to guide and direct you in the paths of righteousness! Trust in the Lord with all you heart lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 I know you can do this! I am confident that you will make good decisions and learn from what ever mistakes you may make. It is time for you to see that you can FLY! I know you will do great things. As I shared with you before, the Lord will not let you fail; He loves you even more than I do. You were sent to save me! and in your eyes I see who I want to be, in my daughters' eyes! I love you and am so blessed to have spent these last 18 years with you! Mom

I can’t imagine a better daughter to call mine. Any father would be beyond proud to have a daughter that has all of the qualities that your life exemplifies. You have so much going for you: your maturity, sense of humor, beauty, interest in music, not settling for mediocre in your relationships, leadership, and faith. Now you’re off to the next chapter in your life – college!! I can’t believe it’s here already. I still remember that curly red-headed girl that completely changed my life for the better. We’ve always said that God knew what he was doing when he gave us Dane Elizabeth. You were always smarter than your age indicated and we were so lucky for that! I can’t wait to see what you will do with everything you have been blessed with. I know that if you will believe in yourself the way that everyone else does, there is nothing you can’t accomplish. I know you will totally blossom when you go off and get settled to college life. I know that you will continue to be the mature young lady that you have proven to be all these years and that makes me so proud! There are several characteristics that I really notice about you and how you have lived your life. One is that you have always had a maturity that is beyond your age. Most times you don’t do things just because everyone else is doing them. You think for yourself and typically make the wise choice. Most people don’t get to that stage in their lives until they are much older than you are. Another characteristic is how much you treasure the relationships you have made. Whether it be friends or family, everyone knows that they can count on Dane to be there for them. It can be going out and having fun, knowing that you are there just to listen, or just wanting to hang out and do nothing. In all of these situations you are building relationships that will have an impact for a lifetime! Dane, you are a true blessing sent to me from above. I can’t imagine how my life would have turned out without you in it. I love you very much and am so proud of you. Keep God as your center and there is nothing you can’t accomplish! Love you! Dad
