1: The book is a biography of Galileo Galilei, Father of modern science, who was born on February 15th, 1564 in Pisa.
2: Write a summary of what you learned. I learned that Galileo made a telescope and used it to observe the moon.In 1589 he becomes professor of mathematics at the University of Pisa.His younger siblings were Virginia, Michelangelo, and Livia. Galileo was the first scientist to verify a theory based on accurate measurements. Galileo was guilty for suggesting that the Earth moved around the Sun.Galileo invented the clock, lamp, telescope, hygrometer, pendulum, and water purifier. What is the most interesting fact about this person? 1. Galileo is a scientist who supported the idea of the heliocentric model created by Copernicus. 2. He was the first person to find that Jupiter has four moons. 3.Galileo discovered sun spots,lunar mountains and craters.
3: How would you describe this person? An Italian physicist and astronomer named Galileo Galilei founded modern science. He studied and researched many areas of what is now called physical science. He is famous for discovering the Galilean moons and for inventing the telescope. In physics Galileo is remembered for discovering the laws of falling bodies and motions of projectiles.
4: If you could meet this person what question would you ask him/her? I would ask him what is the most important thing in his life. I would also ask him what was the happiest day of his life and the busiest day of his life.
5: Would you recommend this book? Why or Why not? I would recommend this book because you can learn about one of the important scientists of modern times. The experiments and discoveries made by Galileo are interesting to understand how modern science evolved.
