S: Jamease Crystal McDonald, M.S. in Communication Sciences 2011

BC: Happy Birthday Jamease From Jasmine August 16, 2011 Love Love Love - Always Always Always | There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning. ~ Louis L'Amour

FC: "To see a World in a Grain of Sand And Heave in a Wild Flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And eternity in an hour. ~ William Blake | to the Graduate

This is your life, not someone else's. It is your own feeling of what is important, not what people will say. Sooner or later, you are bound to discover that you cannot please all of the people around you all of the time. Some of them will attribute to you motives you never dreamed of. Some of them will misinterpret your words and actions, making them completely alien to you. So you had better learn fairly early that you must not expect to have everyone understand what you say and what you do. The important thing is to be sure that those who love you, whether family or friends, understand as nearly as you can make them understand. If they believe in you, they will trust your motives. But do not ask or expect to have anyone with you on everything. Do not try for it. To reach such a state of unanimity would mean that you would risk losing your own individuality to attain it. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

 We are

 Good times!

OY! | All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure. ~ Mark Twain

Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. - Harvey Fierstein

Family, Friends, & Laughter - Oh My!!

Friendship is the thread that ties our hearts together.

We are | Hooding my little sister had to be the most special and most honored moment for me of the day. Well, it is a close second to just being her sister!

Other things may change us, but we start and end with the family. ~Anthony Brandt

I hope your dreams take you to the corners of your smiles, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known.

Pose for the Camera! | The Scholars | Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities - always see them, for they're always there. ~ Norman Vincent Peale

 Time to go!

Friends are the chocolate chips in the cookies of life. | A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

 Friendship Continued

Enjoy the little things for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things. - Robert Brault | Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars. ~Les Brown

You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm. ~ Colette | "...although he may encounter many defeats, he must not be defeated. If life teaches us anything, it may be that it's necessary to suffer some defeats. Look at a diamond: it is the result of extreme pressure. Less pressure, it is crystal; less than that, it's coal; and less than that, it is fossilized leaves or just plain dirt. It's necessary, therefore, to be tough enough to bite the bullet as it is shot into one's mouth, to bite it and stop it before it tears a hole in one's throat. One must learn to care for oneself first, so that one can then dare to care for someone else. That's what it takes to make the caged bird sing." ~ Maya Angelou, October 1977

The Inn of the Patriots Grover, NC Marti, Stormy, and Raina Graduation Giift Summer 2011 July 25-28

Zip-lining across the rapids. Note the helmet! We did it BIG!!! | U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC)

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson | Jamease made her own trail as the water SCOOPED her out of the raft and she went swirling in the rapids. She bravely attempted to climb back in the raft as I sister screamed "Get my SISTER!!!" Thankfully our 'cousins' grabbed Jamease and pulled her (dramatically) into the boat. Our poor soft-voiced rasta white guide Jon then proceeded to conduct the same move that sucked Jamease out. We were good though as we huddled at the front of the boat, me without a paddle and Jamease soaking wet.

We did it! It was the "Easy" Path - but we did it AND made it half way up the Medium! | 1 | 2 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 3

 Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens

Three Course Breakfast in Bed | Roses amongst the Flowers

Baker Buffalo Creek Vineyard and Winery | White man has a heart attack and needs a new relaxing career - so he plants some grapes in 2003 to start a vineyard. Great story and better wine! He also informs us that his family has been on the farm/plantation for 6 generations making corn liquor. ‘Our’ family was probably there, too. We also saw huge "nuts" which he had a considerably hard time trying to explain the ’nut’. Great history - great time - great wine!
