S: Walt Disney World 2011

 Walt Disney World 2011

Disney Bound TurkeyDay 2011 | Look Out Mickey Mouse... Here We Come!

 The happiest place on earth

Our first night at Disney World, we went to Magic Kingdom where we attended the Tomorrowland Dessert Party and watched the Wishes Fireworks show. We had the best seat in the house1

More Pictures of Cinderella's Castle - it's a beautiful sight all in lights

Animal Kingdom... where Disney storytelling comes alive with creatures real, imaginary... and abominable. | Our first full day was spent at Animal Kingdom. After a picture in front of the Tree of Life, we headed to Expedition Everest, and the many other things the park had to offer. Beautiful day in a beautiful park.

On the Kilimanjaro Safari, we saw all kinds of exotic animals and chased a poacher. We've never been to Africa, but Disney goes all out to make you feel like you are really there. After our safari, we walked the exploration trail and saw even more amazing birds and animals.

Various scenes from Animal Kingdom - Flights of Wonder bird show, the monkeys in Asia, Dinoland, Everest, and the Tree of Life.

Zach LOVED Expedition Everest, which was in Asia. The Yeti gave Zach and Dan a thrill while I enjoyed the scenery.

Scenes from Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade

We also saw the Festival of the Lion King, which was a terrific production.

Family pictures by the tree at Animal Kingdom | Russ, Leana & Mitchell then our family

 Hollywood Studios

We had lunch at the Prime Time Cafe. The waiter, Cousin Gary, made Zach set the table and use his best table manners. And yes, he also made me eat my green beans... Other than that, it was great fun and good food. !

We sawFantasia, a water & fireworks spectacular on a rainy evening. But of course, in true Disney fashion, the rain stopped in time for the show. Hollywood Studios had their own beautiful Christmas tree, too.

The Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios | Even in a light rain, this was an incredible light show of literally millions of lights dancing in synchronization to holiday music.

We spent Sunday with Russ, Leana & Mitchell at Magic Kingdom.

 In Adventureland

 Scenes from the Jungle Cruise

Zach spent a fun day in Magic Kingdom with his cousin Mitchell riding Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain and, of course, Space Mountain over and over and over again. I think we hit every land imaginable in the park, from Adventureland to Tomorrowland and yes, we even made the boys ride It's a Small World in Fantasyland (that was at my request).

That night, we went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We had hot cocoa and Christmas cookies, enjoyed the Christmas lights, met Mickey and his friends, watched a spectacular Christmas parade and even watched while it snowed on Main Street. It was a wonderful evening of Christmas fun and one we'll treasure forever. We had a great spot for viewing the parade, which included Santa, of course, as the finale.

 Minnie playing around with Zach

 Next stop... Epcot!

Epcot... Where the magic of Disney touches the real world and every day brings endless possibilities. | Explore the culture and cuisine of eleven nations around the world. | Experience an underwater world adventure! | Board a clammobile and take a field trip through The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

Zach enjoyed going around the world and seeing the different countries. We made sure he had a passport before starting his journey. In each country, there was a storyteller who told about the tradition of Christmas for that country.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends was such a fun attraction. First, we hopped in a clammobile and went on an underwater adventure. When the ride was over, we looked in some of the largest aquariums I've ever seen. There were divers in the tanks cleaning. They were also feeding the fish. There were so many things to see... sharks, sea turtles, anemones and jelly fish.

 Pluto

 Donald Duck

 Goofy

 Sights from Epcot

Sizes: mini|medium|large|enormous
