FC: Croatia and Budapest August 2007

Day 1 in Dubrovnik, Croatia! When we first arrived Croatia was on fire... literally! Luckily, the smoke cleared quickly and we were able to enjoy the incredible view of the town from our Villa's balcony.

 Nothing beats European ice cream!

Walking the wall of Dubrovnik! The Old Town is surrounded by a great 2 mile wall built to defend the town.

The Red roofs are ones that have been replaced since the war in 1995. The multi-colored brown roofs are the originals built way back when. | Taking a break on the wall!

The View doesn't get much better than this!

A guards watch hole... One of many along the Old Town Wall. | Don't let the clear, clean water fool you... it's cold!

A Family Meal in Croatia Mandi the explorer discovers a local Farmers Market and cooks us a gourmet meal at Andrea's Villa... Great food and even better company!

Mandi's Birthday! A wonderful occassion to celebrate with ice cream! | So many flavors... so little time!

After a rather wild ride up the coast in our stick shift Mini van... we safely arrived in the town of Split!

The Gorgeous Island of Hvar..... scented by fields of wild rosemary and lavendar.

 Beautiful Budapest! Beautiful Budapest!

Touring the city with Patrick... It was an incredible tour of course! | Crossing the Danube via the bridge from Buda to Pest. Of course, we had to stop for a traditional Croatian meal along the way!

2nd largest Jewish Temple | Picnicing after our tour ! | Crossing the bridge into Pest | Mandi with... a rather risque statue!

Dinner next to Selma Blair! | In town filming Hell Boy 2, Selma Bailr dined directly next to us. Mandi, having no idea who she was engaged her in conversation. She was quite pleasant and happy to chat with fellow Americans!

A typical promenade in Budapest. This one is on the Buda side! A memorial for Jews who were shot into the Danube during the Holocaust
