S: 2009 Transatlantic Cruise

FC: 40th Wedding Anniversary: Transatlantic Cruise November 2009 | Debbie and Wayne

1: Wayne, Debbie, Sue, and Elizabeth invade Rome to celebrate the milestone anniversary! | The invaders find Trevi Fountain flowing freely, sun, rain, day and night.

2: Debbie finds that in Rome, waterproof mascara is a good idea. | She also discovers that in Rome there really is no Venti sized coffee. | And, she discovers that the hole in the roof of the Pantheon WAS NOT designed to keep rain out.

3: Statues at St. Peter's Square serve as a great distraction when awaiting papal audiences.

4: The Italian Airforce celebrates the anniversary with a tribute over the Vatican. | St. Peter's Square welcomes its visitors.

5: Pope Benedict and his peeps meet and greet.

6: Yes, those postcards really did come from the Vatican.

7: Vatican Sculptures.... | .... and murals. There are halls and halls of them

8: The Sistine Chapel contains ancient paintings and tapestries. | Who cleans this stuff?

9: St. Peter's Church is filled with art and mausoleums. It is just a bit morbid. Especially,with those skulls and crossbones hanging around.

11: The Coliseum and the Palatine Hill are in ruins.... | Ancient sites, buildings, and boulders are in shambles all over Rome. It is just a mess!

12: Lionesses in the den of the Coliseum. | No ifs, ands, or butts, it is one impressive stadium.

13: The Cathedral of Notre Dame de la Garde in Marseilles is aptly named. It stands watch on the Mediterranean coast of France.

14: The Medieval Village of Les Baux sells itself....

15: Barcelona is not all Gaudi, or is that gaudy???.... | but, a lot is....

16: The Marjorca harbor....... | shoreline, cathedral, and coast at sunrise.... is a place for the rich and famous.

17: Catagena is a Spanish Naval station with a nautical theme....

18: Lanzarote camels are friends.... | and they blend in well with the moonscape. scape......

20: Lava makes an interesting shoreline in Lanzarote. | Grapes are dug into the moonscape and water hides in the caves.

21: Tenerife livens the Canaries. Yes, the birds are really there.

22: The Ruby Saga meets Tenerife and Debbie enjoys its sights.

23: Days at Sea aboard the Equinox..... seascapes, rainbows and landscapes?

24: Sunrise, Sunset.. at sea....

25: Friends and laughter.... on the Equinox....

26: Arrival in Ft. Lauderdale and a delightful vacation ends with the sighting of another oasis.
