S: February Florida Fun 2010

FC: February Florida Fun 2010 | By, Barb Brunhuber

1: Snow | Wesley & Savannah, watching snowfall in Walhalla, SC. Doesn't snow very often.

2: We Are Here!

3: Brought the bikes, boat, computer, to much stuff to Sunset Captiva, where we stayed for 3 weeks. | We made it!!

4: Lighthouse Beach & Pier looks over to Ft. Meyers.

5: { | { | Day's End

7: Turner Beach at Blind Pass Bridge between Sanibel and Captiva. Great location for shelling and fishing. Amazing sunsets against the rocks.

9: Took a bike ride to the Marina on Sanibel, from Lighthouse Beach. Prevailing winds once again, prevented boating. | "The friends we meet on the path of life make the trip worth while."

10: Digging in the Sand for Shell Treasures.

11: Turner Beach Great Shelling & Fishing! Cold & Windy

22: Sunset Captiva Condo's and private dock.

23: Big Boy Toy Show - Over causeway to Pine Island, lunch & art show!

25: The colors of Pine Island Art Fair.

26: so many | Each memory we keep with care means future happiness to share.


30: Pat & Tina arrive for 6 days. First stop, the outlet mall.

34: Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories. ~Cathy Allen

37: Pat caught the big fish of the day. Needless to say we went out for dinner. Found this huge sea turtle left on the beach. Paul still fishing!

39: ART

40: Shell collecting, under the trees, on the beach, in the water. They're everywhere.

43: Cayo Costa State Park is a favorite destination, a barrier island accessible only by boat. The trees left from hurricane Charley are fascinating.

46: Found some great treasures, including starfish & sand dollars. Cleaning & sorting shells for crafting in beach house.

48: So Pretty!

49: Joe & Beth get picked up from the airport by some strange tourist!

52: A beautiful sunset on Captiva Island. Everyone comes down to the beach, drinks in hand to watch the splendor.

53: Best day yet for boating, finally warmer. Off to find shell treasures on deserted island. The fog didn't slow us down.

54: The Fog was very thick on the way to Cayo Costa. Paul's new GPS in the boat got us there safely.

68: Taking a break, enjoying some much needed sun. Shells were in piles on the beach, brought home way to many.

73: Renting Scoot Coupes was really fun, until the rain came down. We took cover, then played in the puddles. | RAIN

77: It's The Little Things In Life That Matter

88: Great Smoky Mountains National Park In all it's Grandeur.

90: Total trip - 30 Days, 400 Miles - 300 Gallons of Gas. A vacation to remember.!
