BC: Kauai ...... our heaven on earth

4: We signed the kids up for surf school at Hanalei bay. Scottie was sad he couldn't join him since he was still recovering from shoulder surgery.

10: One of our favorite things in Kauai is the Shave ICE!! Mariah's favorite is the "Bali Hai Sunset"

16: Kilauea Lighthouse | The lighthouse was fun to see and the views were amazing. This lighthouse has been here since 1913.There are all types of birds to see here.

50: We left about 4am from Kauai to go toOahu for a long layover to see Pearl Harbor before heading home...
51: We had 2 interesting things happen. Our taxi driver was Korean, so Kristie spoke to him in Korean, he was so nice! AND, we didn't even get to go on the Pearl Harbor tour, it was sold out! So, we saw the USS. Missouri instead.
53: USS Missouri or "Mighty Mo"fought in Japan during WWII. It was the the site of the surrender of Japan that ended World War II.
54: God bless the USA!
55: It was a neat experience to see a battleship that served in several wars. We thought it was a great chance to let us all experience a piece of history.
